This is correct. These companies only care about making money rather than art or entertainment so they go as cheap as the can and get pajeet and his 100,000 cousins with their Bachelors of ITs and 3 years of experience in a call center to work on computers all day for 2 cents an hour in a job where a westerner wouldn't even dream of working without 60k + salary and benefits because they have a common decency, self-respect and live in a first world country.
Yup. Computer graphics are so easy now that literally any moron can do it. And when the morons actually get enough experience to become even somewhat good at it, they start demanding higher wages. And why would you oblige them when you can instead just fire them and hire fresh morons who will continue work for cheap? It's a revolving door.
Yeah but it's not just because the people working on it are less talented. It's because directors have less involvement. Pretty much every single example of really good CGI has had directors and cinematographers working close with the CGI artists.
What makes you continue to ask this? Do you think there's some CGI printing machine? They hire the cheapest help and get the cheapest results. Fricking moron.

this is great for china and india because bugmen are already soulless.
Marvel uses CGI as a means to speed up production and cut cost by outsourcing to crappy artist in places like India and Malaysia rather than pay costume designers and makeup artist.
What's the point of filming these two things separately and compositing them together, rather than just put Curry-Flash on the actual set with the other actors present?
Seems like more work, not less.
Doesn't make sense still, curryflash had to be on a greenscreen set with cameramen and boom operators and a dozen other people in the room with him just for that scene, what more harm would there have been in doing away with the greenscreen and filming on the actual room set? Maybe they were still in that moronic period where the average mouthbreather thought masks did anything.
IIRC part of the reason is being able to completely change scenes down the line. I seem to remember an instance where people weren't happy with a location in the trailer or the test screenings and they just swapped it.
Disgusting, commit to film something cowards. All this editing in post is gay, before long you'll be able to edit together entirely different movies from the same principal photography and CGI elements.
Movie is 23.99FPS
Thanos rendered at 29.97FPS, and thys looks choppy and since he's rendered at higher rate, a few frames that should've been drawn isn't and therefore leaves a hole in the animation.
It's like watching some shitty anime where one of the characters is made with CGI for a fight scene and the people are rendered at half the frame rate of the rest of the stuff moving about.
Had to dig around to find a short >3 seconds clip (since people here have severe ADHD and can't keep focus longer than that).
I did find one that is obvious in less than a second.

The cgi for thanos was better than the cgi in Dead mans chest and any cgi in Avatar. Anytime they actually tried when it came to cgi in the mcu it was great. Cope about it
>CGI for Thanos was better than etc.
It’s a good thing that they made sure Thanos looked good in their tent-pole center piece movie… wow… man let’s praise them for the effort guys! They could have just mailed it in like in all the other movies
This shot of pre-Brolin Thanos looks a bit goofy because there's no real human face behind it, but it's still good in terms of CGI quality. His skin and helmet look like real material
I could never watch any of the Thanos movies for more than 30 minutes.
He looks so dumb, there's nothing there in terms of threat, stakes, tension, ...

they outsource everything to slave tier CG studios where everyone works 14 hour days, 7 days a week and doesn't even get paid for overtime
I read an interview with an CGI artists who was saying people are actually breaking down crying on Marvel sets due to how overworked they are. Then he mentioned how some people are working over 60 hours a week... is that even that much? To cry and piss your pants and start a union over? I think these people need a reality check tbh
i honestly get it if prop set worker angry at marvel because changing the concept design every week because you know taking time creating set, but for vfx studio just move your mouse cursor lmao
60 hours can be a lot, or just 2 days overtime. In my experience the difference is leadership. I doubt Disney has good leadership, they probably yell at you for not working on break.
anything beyond 45 hours a week is grotesque unless you are a farmer or something, not because it isnt hard work, but it isnt post industrial wagecuckery
Yeah I'd say 12 hours a day 5 days a week is a lot of fricking hours. That doesn't even leave enough time to wash, commute, do house work and eat. Only leisure time you would have would be on weekends when you're exhausted. To put it into another perspective, if you worked 8 hours a day with no days off, that still doesn't add up to 60 hours.
I agree, but imagine if the octopus pirate had marvel tier quality. It would break all immersion.
This isnt cinema, is entertaiment, shit tier production is like going to a theme park and all the rides and games function badly and you waste your money and give it to people who dont give a shit because they know at the people will still go because everyone wants to scapism
Davy Jones is probably the last example of "old" cgi, where it was made by a handful of highly educated and respected masters who wrote their own software and were probably paid better than the film's stars.
Avatar just had all the money in the world thrown at it
Marvel (and all modern cgi) is outsourced to poorly paid Vietnamese people who won't get anything out of it except a paycheck and their name in a long credit sequence that no one watches.
Basically around the mid 2000's cgi went from artform to product, much like movies as a whole.
It's weird to think that at one point, the prequels were the golden standard for bad CG, but compared to shit we see in 2022, their overused CG was at least prebaked

Because Victoria Alonso and goofy Marvel director of the week have shit taste. Or do you actually believe some nameless 3d modeller in India drives the look of billion dollar franchises? Would've given hulk lady bigger bobs if true
Davey jones CGI was half the selling point so they worked hard on it
blue b***h who's name escapes me but is from a dead franchise was a showcase for new tech so it had to look good
Multiverse of madness was a vehicle for cameos so it didn't have to look good, long as people saw the characters they liked they would be happy
nobody but the most hardcore fans watch those marvel TV shows anymore so inherently they won't have particularly high standards for them
Hey! I made this imagel, I shittly removed the watermark as you can see here.
Next time I'll write Black person and put it in a hidden place to see if they actually notice or they just save and upload the pics.
crazy how the octopus pirate still holds up even better than avatar
I remember being impressed by how it looked when I was a kid but thinking it would look like shit after a few years
Pirates was done at the right time when people were really skilled, studios still gave a shit and had the right mix of practical and CGI so it wasn't over-reliant on digital. As much shit as it gets, the first Transformers films are the same. The CGI actually holds up pretty well considering the age of the film. The 2000s were really a visual sweetspot before the greenscreen stage hell of today. Even the first Iron Man looks great and realistic compared to everything after Avengers. You just don't see that attitude, effort and style anymore from major studios. So nowadays Marvel just overworks their staff and/or outsources it to shitty overseas companies so they can shit out the amount of movies they do. Thus it looks like shit but people eat it up anyway so it doesn't matter
"nanotech" took all the coolness out of Iron Man, the neat part was how mechanical and 'real' feeling the suits were. Tapping his chest and turning into CGI man was lame.
I think my favorite bit of that movie was him separated from the suit and having to make a bunch of Home Alone weapons to arm himself with, it was closer to the vibe at the start of the first movie when he only had a box of scraps in a cave.
You're clearly a NEET since you don't know how soul-crushing it is to work 60 hours a week regularly with no overtime pay. STFU unironically.

White talent is irreplaceable no matter how much education you give minorities. They just don't have that creative spark. The only ones that come close are the Japanese everyone else copies and does a poor job at that. For years i thought it was truly an egalitarian world but it's not some are simply better built.
Back then there were less cg people working on less movies. So it was experienced talent taking their time to do it.
Today it's all inexperienced overworked newbies on sweatshops working on 30 projects at once and Disney keeps changing things 3 weeks before release and shit.
A couple of talented guys did amazing shit with cg so now the industry thinks it's magic and that anyone can do it in half that time. Essentially the same shit that happened with IT.
They just don't give the teams time enough to do it. It's exactly the same situation going on in software and web applications, managing people don't care about the technical aspects of the job and think that if you can do it in 6 months you can do it in 2 and get the same results.
It's even worse in cg where the guys have no respect for the art itself and just shove bullshit for the team to do.
BR2048 has the most impressive cg of recent years and they managed to do it because the team had 9 months to make it. They planned it out, decided what they wanted to do, and then just let the cg guys do their job and take their time.
It's that simple
I’ll never forgive them for fricking up she-hulk so badly. I’ve been looking forward to jerking off to that show since it was announced and they completely dropped the ball. Fricking bastards.

Because Victoria Alonso and goofy Marvel director of the week have shit taste. Or do you actually believe some nameless 3d modeller in India drives the look of billion dollar franchises? Would've given hulk lady bigger bobs if true
Davey jones CGI was half the selling point so they worked hard on it
blue b***h who's name escapes me but is from a dead franchise was a showcase for new tech so it had to look good
Multiverse of madness was a vehicle for cameos so it didn't have to look good, long as people saw the characters they liked they would be happy
nobody but the most hardcore fans watch those marvel TV shows anymore so inherently they won't have particularly high standards for them
Now the thor CGI there's no excuse for
Hey! I made this imagel, I shittly removed the watermark as you can see here.
Next time I'll write Black person and put it in a hidden place to see if they actually notice or they just save and upload the pics.
Based.
I've done the same, so I'm one step ahead of you, but I did it to a a few hentai games I decensored.
They still have my water marks, seen them shared on FFF and F95.
2012 spiderman has the best vfx cgi i've seen in a movie. Why not use those guys for your marvel trash.
outsourcing to china
crazy how the octopus pirate still holds up even better than avatar
I remember being impressed by how it looked when I was a kid but thinking it would look like shit after a few years
Does anyone have the webm of the avatar chick filming the leaf scene in the studio? I need it for reasons
Money launder
Avatar CG is actually dogshit
Look at how many vfx studios went bankrupt in the 2000s
cherrypicking causes that, you dishonest homosexual
Don't ask. Just consume.
I honestly don't care.
Marginally better CGI does not sell more tickets to your movie
First iron man looks the best not because of the cgi but because of the lack of it, the suit was an actual physical thing.
"nanotech" took all the coolness out of Iron Man, the neat part was how mechanical and 'real' feeling the suits were. Tapping his chest and turning into CGI man was lame.
last cool ironman suit was the IronMan 3 suit. After that is shit. Nano suit is fricking stupid, RDJ floating head
I think my favorite bit of that movie was him separated from the suit and having to make a bunch of Home Alone weapons to arm himself with, it was closer to the vibe at the start of the first movie when he only had a box of scraps in a cave.
"Bro I had to click my mouse like, easily ten thousand times yesterday, man I'm WIPED!"
NEET NEET ON THE STREET
Staring at a screen clicking all day is not "labor", everyone here does that for free.
Washing dishes for min wage is labor.
> Bro I had to click my mouse like, easily ten thousand times yesterday
Then why don’t you do it?
Updated nano suit in Endgame looks pretty good imo. Balance of organic form + classic colors
it also had the flip up visor like the earlier suits and not a completely disappearing helmet, I liked that
looked good but it's way too much CGI + floating head and it's too Green Lantern for my taste
>resurrects your old/dead actor
Nothing personal.
This looked ok in some shots, and horribly uncanny valley or like a cheap deepfake in others.
They have no excuse for not just casting Sebastian Stan instead
No, it looked flawlessly. It just sounded like shit.
>this "looked flawlessly"
>posts Mandalorian S2 screencap
>when we are discussing The Book of Boba Fett
What did you mean by this?
"The Book of Boba Fett" Luke looked flawlessly. Or are you pretending to be moronic?
Cherrypicked still shots can look good but there was something really off about him in motion, like when he's talking there's a stiffness or lack of expressiveness
have you ever seeb ROTJ? Mark Hamill was basically a robot in that movie
"Looked flawlessly" is being mocked because it's incorrect phrasing.
You should be saying "Looked flawless".
It looks okay in motion but in stills it's soulless.
You only say this because you know it's fake.
Ask anyone who had never seen Luke Skywalker before or doesn't know that Mark Hamill is old as shit now, and they will say it's a real actor, guaranteed.
In not so sure about that. I'm not so much of a misanthrope that I believe everyone is a complete idiot.
Nu Wars is moronic
>Mouse get Star Wars
>Destroy the licence with a shitty trilogy
>Get saved by a TV Show about Not Fett and Kid Yoda
>Now the Black person who have full control of SW want to do multiverse shit
They really have no fricking idea why people like SW
Good morning, Sir. Do not redeem, OK?
Affirmative action
It's that simple
doing the needful
I’ll never forgive them for fricking up she-hulk so badly. I’ve been looking forward to jerking off to that show since it was announced and they completely dropped the ball. Fricking bastards.
>2015
>noooo everything is fricking cgi why why no soul!
>2022
>uhhh, why isn't the cgi as good as it used to be?
What causes this?
Zoomers.
well bottom right is a tv show so that really doesn't count
