However, I no longer enjoy those movies. I realized that this is because I did not understand the greatest purpose of art. When the purpose is to be commie crap, like Verhoeven’s work, the art is sullied, it is lower.
When you understand that the highest purpose of art is to inspire the ascent of the will towards the divine, you will understand why you are a currently a pedestrian; or were, if you, hopefully, begin to appreciate art.
