I do >Ripoff of the lion king >Character designs mash horribly with the background >The entire premise is "If dinosaurs had dogs" >Stupid, unremarkably title
It's simultaneously shallow as a narrative plot, but too deep in its secondary themes for the average Pixar fans to enjoy. Basically, to get enjoyment out of it, you have to not be moronic and read between the lines.
Probably Pixar's weakest movie.
Lame designs and immediately forgettable story. Only thing I remember is that storm scene and I don't even recall the context.
There's just very little to like about it. Other bad Pixar movies had some redeeming elements or at least the potential to be good, The Good Dinosaur has nothing.
Incredibly gorgeous landscapes and backdrops. Once you realize it's a western, it makes more sense. Shame that the dinosaurs are so goofy looking and stand out against the natural scenery.
This movie somewhat helped push my parents to get a divorce. I'm not even bullshitting about this as parody of that one Angela Anaconda screencap. Frick this movie.
My parents was always fricked but basically one of my dad's dumb frick friend lost my dog so my mom decided to cheer me up later that week by taking me to see the Good Dinosaur. End up having basically a mental breakdown at 11 years old because of the cave man kid being a dog stand in. This caused the biggest fight between both my parents. Then less then a week later we weren't all even living in the same house anymore. Frick Peter Sohn.
i don't
You know what this movie was missing? A scene with Arlo and his family inbetween the father's death and Arlo getting lost.
Elemental was a big improvement over this movie by Peter Sohn.
I refused to see this movie in theaters because the dinosaur designs looked too dopey and moronic
I don't get the hate.

pixar failure before that got normalized

That's Onward. The mivie is so weak that people ignorest it when they rank Pixar's movies in any way.
Flop
I don't like how the human was basically a dog
It wasn't very good, but I enjoyed it because it's basically a western. The movie and advertising should have leaned into it more.
The Pixar movie everyone forgot about as it released the same year as their hit movie Inside Out.
It's so forgettable that people remember Brave and that movie is so painfully mediocre but memorable only for the red haired chick protag.
The tripping scene had me in stitches (bravo! Pixar). The triceratop standing at the edge of the forest and staring creeped me out.
Otherwise.. eh.. it was okay.
Incredibly gorgeous landscapes and backdrops. Once you realize it's a western, it makes more sense. Shame that the dinosaurs are so goofy looking and stand out against the natural scenery.
This. The vistas were gorgeous but the dinosaurs clashed with it. The difference is jarring. For me it was the biggest problem with this movie.
Youtube-animation-used-to-test-out-video-output-by-youtubers tier.

This is so absurdly stupid and plausible that I believe it.
>The Good Dinosaur came out over 8 years ago
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
lol
Is it "this is so bad I'll pretend it doesn't exist" forgettable or "oh wow, this really happened?" forgettable?
I like the scene where the villainous pterodon ate that little guy. Yes, I am a degenerate.
>What do you think of it?
Didn't see it. Show me shit from it.
Quite possibly Pixar's most forgettable movie. Lightyear is a close second.
