No the game deserved the hate it got. Honestly never played a game where its players desperately want to love it and give it multiple chances and the devs and company seem to do there best to try and push people away
Sometimes I like to imagine that every bad thing and failure happening to Square Enix is a result of a curse put on them by Sleeping Dogs' fans and that makes me smile.

I genuinely hope they still do add her in some last ditch attempt to 'save/resurrect' the game, but I'm not holding my breath looking at the player count and recent interviews about the game. I'm not even an especially big Carol fan, but she would probably feel really good to play, with her flying and energy blasts, like a less clunky Iron-Man.

Eh, they're the same level of shitty gear-focused, MOBA-lite button mashing. There's nothing much to either of them in terms of gameplay or depth. But UA3 at least has the slight advantage of a much bigger roster and better costumes
Why so? Isn't it a given with most Team Ninja games to expect gratuitous amounts of fan service? Hell, even in Nioh where they made a point of being more grounded they put in substantial amount of effort in making both the male and female characters look attractive and appealing.

I played in the beta with a friend and then we both got the full game.
Its storyline is pretty good and i enjoyed myself but they absolutely shit the bed on a lot of "post game" content. One of the weirdest decisions is that there was no save feature on the multilevel battle floor things so if the game crashed because it was a piece of shit, you'd lose your progress. Another mission randomly was only single player only despite being featured as part of the multiplayer storyline.
The fact that all they had to show after months and months of release was a handful of bullshit costumes (thor but with a red shirt! thor but with a blue shirt!) was really pathetic. Plus they couldn't get any new heroes out for some reason. At the same time, Fortnite rolled out tons of new Marvel heroes (granted yes, Fortnite just has skins on the character model, but most of the post release heroes are essentially just reskins of the existing ones or stuff that was already in the game but held for later release like Hawkeye.
I don't know how they bungled the releases out so badly. Plus that doesn't even cover radio silence from the company about future plans for the game, especially since its a live service one, bullshit like random gatcha crates for shitty banners other players can see for like 3 seconds when loading a map AND the worst of it all, their apology gift making fun of a broken npc interaction was *broken* and delayed for release. You can't make that shit up.

Great single player story. And then the urge to be Destiny fricked it up along with the idea people would play the same levels over and over.
The gear/loot system was a terrible fricking idea. It barely affects the game yet it's also the main thing the player's meant to buy and get rewarded

Uncanny art style is some real zoomer crticism. "They dont look enough/too much like mcu". Go frick yourself idiot, these characters have always varied between artists, eras and universes. Npc complaints ran rampat with this game. I can give you that the ui and enemis are shit, but contrils are fine. The controls are responsive but enemies dont react to punches. Not sure how the file size could be a complaint from a neet incel without insight into data or game development

As someone who bought: the answer is no. Only positive is each Avenger having different/solid controls
OP here, the reason I started this thread is specifically cause I'm playing it through PS plus and wanted to get opinions on it. Where I am right now, which I think is about halfway/two thirds through the main campaign, it's basically just something to occupy my time. The main story hasn't really captivated me and I barely pay attention to the cutscenes. Progression feels pretty slow as well, there's a big skill tree for each character and skill points take a while to unlock. It's mostly just a mindless button masher for me

The campaign is decent, I don't even mind Kamala, but I hate the MMO style stat shit and have no interest in multiplayer.
Kamala's actually pretty decent in this game so far. The only time she gets annoying is when they lean into the fangirl stuff a bit too much, or do "hello fellow kids" type shit with her

Suicide Squad looks really kinda bad. I wish Rocksteady had just made a proper hero game set in the Arkham universe. Superman, Animal Man, fricking Ambush Bug. Anything but this.

I like the Suicide Squad, but they aren't a replacement or rival for the Avengers, because they are whacky criminals and not superheroes. Wanting to play as Iron-Man is totally different to wanting to place as aussie boomerang man.
