It's great but you've really got to be quite miserable to frequently watch a movie like this

No country is fun at least

      It's the opposite.

Yeah, it's the opposite if you're really quite miserable.

No Country has adventure and thrills. The characters are established early on, from there it's just watching them behave as moving parts on the plot. There's action, humor, cute southern irish Carla Jean, and some open ended questions to ponder

Blood is so intensely personal and so full of heartbreak and pain. Again, it's great, but I couldn't imagine watching it as casually as no country.

All the characters were uninteresting. Their deaths were predictable. The main character doesn't change, you already know what he's going to do. And you start to wonder what point the experiences the director decided to show had. It's worse than bland goyslop. It's basically a documentary about oil, you know what's going to happen but just continue watching because it's hyped by everyone and because you want to see day Lewis in a flop for once.

Why would you watch something like this trying to predict what is going to happen? Things happen as they do so I don't know how you could predict most of it, maybe Daniel killing Eli but that was inevitable

Yes by the time he killed the fake brother I knew how it would end. And when he finally killed the pastor, I was overcome with disappointment. I mean I expected tension with the railroad company, tension with his adopted son, tension with the church goers and villagers. Even tension with his oil men quitting. There was nothing. And this is compared to no country for old men? It's a completely disappointing way of telling a story.

That's fair. I would have liked to see more business aspects as those were my favourite parts

the ultimate pseud film. really easy to understand messaging, i.e., le greed bad lol. terrible performance by ddl too. i can't stand the screaming at the top of my lungs at every opportunity school of acting. i guess if you can't act any better, just act louder, right?

Both him and Paul Dano did this for half the fricking film
I thought Dano was more annoying though

I have an extremely unpopular opinion but I can't stand Daniel Day Lewis. He's obviously a great actor whose great at his job but he gets so lost in his roles that his whole personality basically doesn't even exist anymore. He looks like a corpse turned into a marionette because of his adherence to that stupid method acting cult.
The thing that makes some of the great actors so great is that they allow their own humanity into the characters. Daniel Day Lewis just doesn't have that humanity and his performances seem cold and soulless.
