The character development of the Plutonian was kino

But the comic literally ends with him ceasing to exist and being spread across the multiverse, somehow inspiring the creators of superman to create superman in our world

Not sure how he comes back from that

I don't remember Tony himself having development. He caused character development.

he doesn't apparently it's a comic about what happened after the end

You don't see how implying Superman was inspired by a crazy psychic rape baby child murder is insanely disrespectful and makes me want to beat Mark Waid to death with a golden age Omnibus

I've never been much of a fan of Waid's work. He's dead sexy, though.

I've been begging for this kind of story forever. I'd imagine a comic where Bruce's paranoia goes into overdrive and he turns Gotham into giant prison/surveillance state, kind of like a mini Oceania.
Bonus points if all the cops dress like Robin.

It's the comic version of a car crash. Tragic on all levels but I couldn't stop staring at the page. It's entertaining trash so I am looking forward to it.

      I don't see how it'll happen.

The first half was actually pretty good and great at selling just how fricked anyone Pluts doesn't like really is. Then it falls off a cliff.

Irredeemable is one of the best cape comics I've ever read. It's the only thing to ever make me understand what it must felt like being a kid and reading these things in the mid-century.

    So I'm all for this.

Was this actually good? I only read the spinoff with the evil guy who turns good and that was terrible

what is there to return *to*? Irredeemable's earth was in a shambles when his essence was diverted into become the inspiration that resulted in Superman. i enjoyed it well enough but there isn't much left to do there unless you reboot which i suppose is possible

Mark Waid wants his movie deal. Sadly, the world already has enough Evil Superman ripoffs to last it a decade. Should have brought back his Doctor Doom ripoff.
