What's with Cinemaphile's beef with this guy?

      Anonymous

I don't know of any tv beef, but his latest video is him pretending to talk to a therapist and just ranting non stop at him about how comments were mean to him, how his ytpoop bum boys were mean to him, and how youtube went to shit, then kept getting worse. As there are zero boards to discuss youtubers and I thought tv seemed most appropriate

That's about it. I hope he gives up this weird obsession with vanity and keeps making shit like his Mt. Everest or World Record Falling videos.

His videos always came across as a bit to melodramatic for my tastes. I thought it was just a style choice, now after watching this video I think this is just a reflection of who he is, always seeing things in a grand narrative, which sometimes there is, but it gets very cringy when there clearly isn't and he's trying to force it.

            Anonymous

I definitely agree. That's why I was never able to finish his wrestling or Smash vids. He presents them like some gigantic cultural milestone.

I am not even going to bother with it, same with his new coke video, but I never knew why I wouldnt care about a video on “New Coke” when I like most of his other stuff, and you hit the nail on the head. When the Sam banned from creator clash thing was going on he wrote some article on it and I enjoyed it, and it felt very much like his videos and thought nothing of it, looking back his writing was his videos, it is him, he sees this big story in everything, and it is really cringey when it just isnt there.

I'm not going to bother with it, he is about as relevant as Mumkey Jones (another israelitetuber who had immense potential but fell on his sword by dumping his hot girlfriend for a furry pedophile.)

Most of Mumkey’s comedy was just looking for memes he found on Cinemaphile and appropriating them as a foundation of his “edgy humor.”

      >fell on his sword by dumping his hot girlfriend for a furry pedophile
I mean it was more about him losing all of his monetization because of making ER content and other edgy topics that YouTube is desperately trying to sanitize off the platform. Sure he lost respect for that but he would have been fine if it wasn’t for YouTube and big tech in general being against him.
Same thing that happened to leafy but everyone ignores it because they think idubbz somehow took him down.

YouTube poops are completely unwatchable past 16

      Anonymous

The problem with 95% of youtube poops is that the creators don’t make something that stands on its own. Instead they just make a bunch of references to video games or cartoons. YTP can be funny when you actually make it stand on it’s own without referential humor. This is why everyone likes Fesh Pince or Hank of the Hill
Emp’s youtube poops were ones that just spat out a lot of references. He got big because he did youtube poops on Pixar movies and had flashy thumbnails. He’s just kind of bitter that his poops didn’t have the staying power or cultural impact that Fesh Pince did.
I think that’s why he’s still stuck on the hate he got back in the day. He’s got success telling other peoples stories and adopting other peoples styles, but he was never able to gain respect through his own creativity.

Emp became shit a long time ago. His Nascar vids are good but shit like "Sympathy for the villain" or his home movie vids are terrible and everything wrong with youtube, why watch a basedtubers retrospective instead of just watching them for yourself. Why listen to a homosexual talk about the thing or nintendo, its so egotistical to make this type of content and he was much better when he stuck to telling stories about Nascar or Smash bros

  21. 2 years ago

would have been better if half the video was him talking to the camera and the other half were screenshot or videos of stuff, would have been better if he did more dynamic editing he usually does, its more like a podcast episode than an actual video tbh

its kino but only because hes presented it as fiction
if he was playing it 100% straight and just complaining about his time on youtube it would be cringe but because he is at least trying to present it like hes playing an upset man in a psychiatrists office it kind of works

I like this guy's videos, truly, but this thing he made today is one of the most self indulgent and pretentious things I've ever seen. But did you enjoy making videos? If yes, then it wasn’t a waste of time at all. If no, then quit now because YouTube isn’t how you make money.
Old internet was better because majority of people just made content because they liked it, with the success just being a bonus. New internet is obsessed over likes and subs. They equate that with success despite the fact that the most popular content on the platform is dogshit.
Be happy you had fun making a video and used your time constructively instead of browsing Cinemaphile or playing vidya

You're right, Anon. When you see people get so big so fast you think there's something wrong with you or your content and sometimes that can take over your thoughts.
I made videos with no intentions of even uploading them at first so why should I care if anyone sees them?

          >When you see people get so big so fast you think there's something wrong with you or your content and sometimes that can take over your thoughts.
Yeah this is what the YouTube algorithm does. It hides the millions of channels with less than 1k subs and only shows you the ones that are already popular or quickly gaining popularity due to said algorithm.
Also in general this is a fact of life. If you chase success while making art then you are going to ultimately be disappointed and hate the process. Make stuff that you know is good and be confident in that fact.
