      1) Pretentious shit

      2) A scam to get a free holiday for the production team and actors

Imagine being such a pathetic loser to leave your young daughter ( dependent) and die. Like such a selfish bastard. And people cry over this. Frick him. No difference between him and those black fathers who leave their kids.

Just wait for a few more years till she is grown up and then kys?? No I will kms now aaaaah frick her life she will be sad and have childhood trauma and suffer but I can't take it anymore. Why did you even have a kid and a family if you're depressed? To spread the disease? Now they're also depressed and suicidal and lead to more broken homes. Good job Paul 's character. Stupid frick.

The best time to kys is when you don't have dependents. Otherwise you don't deserve sympathy you selfish prick.

"Wow so sad movie he killed himself aaah I am bawling here"

Do people really get so emotional over a piece of media? Jesus Christ. I hate the "I cried during this movie" crowd. Imagine being so emotionally fickle that a fake piece of media which is not real makes you go crying. Not even a real loss. Such a homosexual audience.

Moreover they judge you for not crying or having any reaction. "How can you be so heartless/cruel/psychopathic that you didn't cry during blah blah blah" uh because I know it's fake and not a real thing making a real impact on my life. Your emotional tolerance is way too low and I am in the wrong? Do you also get scared after watching a horror film? Keep your lights on during the night lmao.

Jesus Christ the people are so much homosexuals I can't even

      >t. Autistic

        >Uhh I am gonna make assumptions about you

Diagnosed dysthymia here homosexual. It is very selfish to leave behind dependents. I understand the ethics and moral arguments for sucide. I support voluntary euthanasia also. But unless you're loaded and your dependents are set, you killing yourself is just pure selfish. It is not like killing yourself a few years later will change anything? You have decided to go then might as well see your kids get themselves on foot so they also don't end up like you, chronically depressed. Scarring them with childhood trauma just cause you were done with life.

Now we have a mentally fricked lady here who will suffer and make her husband suffer. Her kids will not be normal.

Which could all have been avoided by delaying catching the bus by a few more years

If you read the comment you'd have known it was about people committing suicide while having dependents not just a fricking A24 overrated piece of crap film that women watched because Paul is in it and weeped over through their tear ducts and pussies and called it the best film ever on Instagram and tik tok for your moronic gay husband to see and make you watch on your gay date night you homosexualy homosexual

Also, the ending of Aftersun is really obvious if you paid attention. Throughout the movie, you see flashes of Calum in a nightclub; It doesn't really make sense until the end of the movie.

            No....
Sophie never went to a nightclub with her dad, and she just knew he liked to dance. You can take the nightclub scenes to mean: He was actually there in Heaven, or it's where Sophie imagined he was.
Sophie (adult) would dream that she was there with him.

i dont th ink its a night club. living with depression is dark most of the time, and every once in a while theres this brilliant flash that lights up the world. and in those flashes we see his dance, we see sophies face, we see the possibility of love. but then its dark again. and trying to be a good father in the dark is hard. and trying to understand your father when your life is dark most the time is hard too.

That's an interesting interpretation. I choose to believe it was the afterlife, and it was just a minimalist depiction of it.
I think dreams (the nice ones) are just people seeing their own afterlife, and that's why I enjoyed this movie.

I didn't really enjoy it but it's grown on me over time. It's a personal film, obviously not supposed to be entertaining per se. Thought it was interesting that the girl who made it took a dig at her dead dad when she accepted an award for it. "Thanks to my mum and only her, because she's actually here" or something to that effect.
