is that a sex metaphor?
are you saying luke and leia were obi-wan's illegitimate children?
i think you or my interpretation of what you're saying are onto something
No I literally just meant what if Obi-Wan hadn't been able to sneak on Padme's ship and she had confronted Anakin alone?
Would he have killed her? Would she have been able to eventually talk him out of it? What would it have been like if she and Anakin had actually just gone into hiding together with the unborn Luke and Leia?
It's an interesting scenario, far more interesting than "what if Anakin had killed Palpatine instead of Mace Windu" or "what if Anakin had killed Obi-Wan" because those are a little predictable with their outcomes. Anakin and Padme just abruptly disappearing in the immediate aftermath of the collapse of the Republic and Order 66 on the other hand leaves a lot open variables worth thinking about.
oh yeah you're right, i figure everything here is bait by default
i do think he would have killed her, yes
but if he didn't and they escaped the order and the senate, that'd be a really fun what-if
>oh yeah you're right, i figure everything here is bait by default
It's okay fren
>i do think he would have killed her, yes
I can see why some people reach this conclusion, but I honestly don't think Anakin had degenerated to the point quite just yet. The sight Obi-Wan on the loading ramp was the final straw and he completely let the paranoia go straight to his head.
>but if he didn't and they escaped the order and the senate, that'd be a really fun what-if
Yeah, I think it offers a lot of interesting avenues to explore because a good 95% of the damage Anakin did in Revenge of the Sith has already been done by that point, but the damage he caused as Darth Vader hasn't really begun yet, so removing him from the equation shakes things up a bit.
>Palpatine is in a substantially weaker position without Anakin to act as his enforcer and right-hand man. >many of the Rebel (and Imperial dissident) schemes that Vader had a hand in undoing now have a much higher chance of success >Jedi are more numerous because Vader isn't around to systematically hunt down, but they've still been so completely decimated to the point where they can't really challenge the Empire in the open >at the same time, Anakin and presumably Padme are off the playing field, so the burgeoning Rebel Alliance can't call upon either of them to act as leaders >Anakin being forced to actually live with the guilt of what he's done, instead of huffing Palpatine's private reserve of copium >Padme being forced to completely abandon her life of luxury >Anakin and Padme as parents, ensuing Skywalker family drama is the stuff of laughs and horrors
What if Yoda had instead, and Obi-Wan went to go slap Sheev's shit with some reverse High Ground? Or back way the fuck up, and what if Anakin hadn't shown up during Mace almost beating Sheev? Or back up further, and what if Qui-Gon force choked Maul to death while they were separated by that red forcefield rather than meditate?
What if George rekt his car so bad that he couldn't talk, write, or wipe his own butt? What if I time traveled and purposefully prevented my parents from meeting so I'd never exist?
>oh yeah you're right, i figure everything here is bait by default

Actually, correction, I misread your post. Your idea of Padme managing to turn Anakin and go into hiding together is pretty cool as well. Especially since he would still be pretty close to the dark side and most likely have Palpatine trying to find him. Would probably work pretty well as the premise of an story.
Sheev really did know how to save those he cared about from dying. But it required sacrifice. Padme's heartbeat stops right before suited Vader's starts.
Finally someone gets the very obvious shit George was saying >I felt her >She was alive
There's some interpretation that Sheev played a cheeky Sith prank on Anakin, and Anakin himself inadvertantly consumed Padme's life force (by way of their strong connection being "poisoned" by Anakin's strong will and hatred)
Or the simpler explanation is that Palpatine just did it, but I feel like Palpatine is really having a laugh at pranking the new guy and telling the truth when he says >It seems in your anger, you killed her
I always assumed it was Anakins hatred for Obi-wan that clung his will to live. And Anakin not understanding his power or the dark side consumed Padme's life force on accident. That's why he wakes up confused. His anger clouded him.

The IMAX print was film, yes. But the source of the footage in the print was from a digitally edited and upscaled release made for IMAX theaters.

Dummy, I know. MOST theaters in 2002 only had film projectors. Digital was rare then, and was kind of shitty compared to now. IMAX projectors then were film, and most IMAX movies were documentaries that were 45 min or so. AotC was among the first big movies to be shown in IMAX. IMAX film is huge compared to standard 35mm in normal theaters, and the IMAX projectors could not have handled a 2 hr 20 min movie on a gigantic heavy reel. That's why the IMAX cut was considerably shorter than the cut in regular theaters.

McCallum said that once they started filming TPM, he and George considered switching Kiera to be the actual Queen, and Herschlag the double. But they'd already signed her for the trilogy. Apparently Natalie couldn't go 5 minutes in Tunisia without bitching and moaning.
>Natalie couldn't go 5 minutes in Tunisia without bitching and moaning.

>Keira: "Oh that old star wars movie? I don't even remember it. Whatever. I've been too busy making REAL movies. Btw fuck Natalie! Hope the bitch drops dead. Her movies suck."
This is true and it was heavily considered. Has less to do with the multi-picture contract. That's actually really easy to get around by simply included the character of the queen and padme in all 3 movies.
The reason they stuck to Natalie Portman was because she would be 18 for the Episode 1 press tour as well as being 18 for filming of episode 2. Keira Knightly was still under 18. While George didn't always use SAG actors, he still had to follow child labor laws. Keira Knightly was under 18 while filming Pirates, her mom was on set the entire time.

The shit when Anakin notices Obi Wan standing in the doorway in a Superman pose is one of the most unintentionally funny things I've ever seen in a movie. It's like he was trying his hardest to piss Anakin off and escalate the situation. He should have flung a used condom at Anakin while he was at it. It feels like an outtake Ewan did for a quick laugh that George put in because he's an idiot.
Anakin, Obi-wan, and Padme should've all been around the same age. Qui-Gon could've taken Anakin as a second padawan and then when he dies and Obi-wan gets knigted, he takes it upon himself ton finish Anakin's training against the Council's advice. Then, have some conflict with the three leads having a Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere dynamic.
>Then, have some conflict with the three leads having a Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere dynamic.
But Obi Wan doesn't have any romantic feelings towards Padme.
Why Padme couldn't accept the empire? What was so bad about it?
Palpatine was also from Naboo. She herself knew the limitations of the republic.
Anakin set himself to be the emperor right hand, it could be very comfy.
What if Star Wars was more adult, less childish, and tried to portray the jedi as truly a corrupt religious order, and the sith, specially Palpatine, as sensible human beings?
everyone was a dumb hypocrite and palpatine's desire for order was justified
What if George rekt his car so bad that he couldn't talk, write, or wipe his own butt? What if I time traveled and purposefully prevented my parents from meeting so I'd never exist?

He wouldn't have killed her right there but still would eventually. He was far too consumed with the idea of ruling over his "new Empire", and at some point Padme wouldn't go along with it and he'd consider it a personal betrayal and kill her in a rage.
The sand stuff is a flirt. He was talking about his rough upbringing and contrasting it with Padme's cozy and soft life and that this is exciting to him and turns him on.
It honestly wasn't a bad attempt.

this has been deboonked
McCallum said that once they started filming TPM, he and George considered switching Kiera to be the actual Queen, and Herschlag the double. But they'd already signed her for the trilogy. Apparently Natalie couldn't go 5 minutes in Tunisia without bitching and moaning.
>Natalie couldn't go 5 minutes in Tunisia without bitching and moaning.
Checks out. Her best acting in the prequels is her whining at Anakin on Mustafar.
Whatever you say, Keira
Keira said she doesn't even remember much of doing the movie, and thought she did play the Queen. (She hasn't seen them and doesn't care).
She's just being bitchy because she's trying to make her career look better than Natalie's career.
>Keira: "Oh that old star wars movie? I don't even remember it. Whatever. I've been too busy making REAL movies. Btw fuck Natalie! Hope the bitch drops dead. Her movies suck."
>Natalie couldn't go 5 minutes in Tunisia without bitching and moaning
may she choke with her vomit mashallah
*on her vomit
retard ESL
>oh no why is this 18 year old complaining about the hell hole we dragged her to?
>Apparently Natalie couldn't go 5 minutes in Tunisia without bitching and moaning.
she was just sleepy
hol up
>That ass
Wake up Natty! Time to pay the piper.
Keira Knightly was under 18 while filming Pirates, her mom was on set the entire time.
>source: just trust me bro
Episode 1 commentary track.
Yeah dude the commentary track is totally where the producer would complain about how the lead actress was horrible and they were thinking of replacing her
should be on her mobile phone
>hmhmm hmm
How come they look so smol here but so nice in this webm?
>um, George, can I please wear a bra for the running part?
>sorry, Nat, there's no underwear in space
>wait, this scene is on a planet, right?
>gotta go, Nat, I'm a busy man...
The best thing that fat fuck ever did was cast Nat
Posture? The ripped shirt not as tight as non-ripped one? Titty magic? Someone should ask her on twitter.
>herschlag! tell me about boobs! why do they wear the top?!
Having that dirty beast creat midriff was kino writing
AotC was shot in the summer of 2000. Natalie had just finished her first year at Harvard. According to her, her first year of college was horrible - she was
She was what???
IDF took him out before he could spill the beans, RIP
RIP to anon who died midway through his post. Hopefully his last thoughts were pleasant and about Hershlag.
Sorry but I love her more
She’s such a qt patootie
The shit when Anakin notices Obi Wan standing in the doorway in a Superman pose is one of the most unintentionally funny things I've ever seen in a movie. It's like he was trying his hardest to piss Anakin off and escalate the situation. He should have flung a used condom at Anakin while he was at it. It feels like an outtake Ewan did for a quick laugh that George put in because he's an idiot.
It just makes sense, the more you think about it.
they have better chimestry
why is obi such a chad? literally made of "le chosen one" a seething criple?
people say natalie and hayden had a fling while filming the prequels but knowing what a horndog ewan is and that he has a thing for israeli girls...
He likes to show them his uncut wang. Is MEW israeli? MEWish?
Anakin, Obi-wan, and Padme should've all been around the same age. Qui-Gon could've taken Anakin as a second padawan and then when he dies and Obi-wan gets knigted, he takes it upon himself ton finish Anakin's training against the Council's advice. Then, have some conflict with the three leads having a Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere dynamic.
>Then, have some conflict with the three leads having a Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere dynamic.
But Obi Wan doesn't have any romantic feelings towards Padme.
It would probably be enough if Anakin just thinks he does.
absolutely retarded
Why Padme couldn't accept the empire? What was so bad about it?
Palpatine was also from Naboo. She herself knew the limitations of the republic.
Anakin set himself to be the emperor right hand, it could be very comfy.
What if Star Wars was more adult, less childish, and tried to portray the jedi as truly a corrupt religious order, and the sith, specially Palpatine, as sensible human beings?
It wouldn't work. Anakin was already being groomed by Padme, they don't have time for him to be groomed by the Jedi Council as well.
Why it is so crazy that anakin killed some children, but everyone was okay with sending an army of spendable clones to raze rebel worlds?
everyone was a dumb hypocrite and palpatine's desire for order was justified
what if george lucas' butt was the womb you stewed in and midichlorians made you god
It would have been more interesting if the Trade Federation used clones too.
It always bugs me how nobody really gave a shit despite the fact that the entire clone army is a pretty big morale event horizon.
What if you grow up, you dumb fucking nagger? God, what a terrible, pointless, trivial thread.
Toy nerds often talked about how pokey this 2002 toy's titties were, and how it wasn't screen-accurate.
>how it wasn't screen-accurate.
Seems pretty screen accurate to me.
They were only pokey in some shots in that one short scene. She's not hard enough to poke eyes out in any version of the Geonosis scenes.
That face
Portman is mediocre and immensely overrated.
Padme is the worst character in Star Wars.
Prequels are shit and always will be.
>space is cold Annie
She’s burned
She could get 'em out in public, but not in a movie?
cute nippa
>I don't like sand
uohhhhhhh
hershlag belly!
jesus christ that tummy
He wouldn't have killed her right there but still would eventually. He was far too consumed with the idea of ruling over his "new Empire", and at some point Padme wouldn't go along with it and he'd consider it a personal betrayal and kill her in a rage.
I wish I was Hayden Christensen in the early 2000s so I could seduce and date prime Hershlag with my big eyes and chiseled twink physique.
you just know
>what if obi-wan hadn't docked in her port, man?
Why did George make the main love interest a pedo?
George was into groomers. The Jedi are a cult of them.
Amidala cannon age was 13-14 when she meet the 10 year old Anakin.
So its a nothingburger.
She was 16, you trog.
>source: trust me bro
so far i googled its 14. Deal with it or give us source... spoiler: you cant.
nice try anyway.
We were too hard of George Lucas for the prequels.
What if he made that jump?
great game
Why didn't they make any licensed movie games for any more Star Wars films? The movies sucked but the games coulda been fun. Imagine a Rogue One game.
pew pew pew
jedi point 71
intenstive forward firing power
For me its Andor.
1/34
The sand stuff is a flirt. He was talking about his rough upbringing and contrasting it with Padme's cozy and soft life and that this is exciting to him and turns him on.
It honestly wasn't a bad attempt.
"Here everything is soft... like you"
You just know
She looks like she doesn't enjoy being that close to him
Compare and contrast with herschlag / hayden pics
>You told me Padme died! All this time, she was actually your personal stripper, Sheev!
>What if Obi didn't just purposelessly appear during a very intense husband and wife moment between Padme and Anakin and antagonize it further
>What if Obi didn't pull his light sabre on Anakin's back while he's talking
>What if Obi didn't leave his "brother" to slow-roast into smoked duck and not mercy kill him
>And he was a good friend
>when someone asks me what I think about women
