          >he doesn’t talk about all the details or even what cut it is
The entire thing is Bruce constantly needing to be 100% in his regiment to he batman and denying himself simple pleasures. Clayface attacks a local fast food joint and Batman fights him only to fight out that Clayface just wants to feel human again and enjoy a greasy burger but can't because he needs to build himself tastebuds a digestive system etc and even then he can't taste it very well. This resonates with Bruce to just enjoy a simple.pleasure here and then and not think about his autistic regiment

That's roughly the % carbs of a basic McDonald's hamburger, so it's not completely unrealistic. But still not super relevant since Bats obviously has something more substantial than that, and I don't know who actually goes to McDonald's to just order a plain hamburger anyway.

It's pretty much the pendulum swing from how these characters have gone from being people in costumes to hyper regimented, fixated beings who only sleep for 3 hours a day and sustain themselves off pure nutrients.
Back in the day, heroes eating used to be a normal thing, just a thing you'd see in a set up or ending. Batman and Robin stopping by for chinese food or Superman ending an adventure with a beef bourguignon dinner with Lois. But when you have Superman portrayed as able to sense lifeforces or a Batman who needs to keep up with the justice league, it's far harder to have them eat normal without fanboys asking questions. So now showing them slumming it by eating greasy fast food is like a course correction of that.

Unlike Batman, that actually seems in-character for Ben. And despite the fact that he's shown making pizza, his inner monologue actually has plot/characterization-relevant exposition.

This reminded me of one concept for a mutant villain I had, where she literally turned into extremely fragile 'living glass' during her mutant awakening, and as a result, everything she touched literally broke her. Everything was constant pain and overstimulation Princess and Pea style. She could control her glass shards, using her body like knives and reformung only to be shattered again. She felt the worst part of all of it, at least until she was dumped in water and frozen a la Hydro Man/Sandman. In that state, she was just unconscious from the null sensation, not truly cured.
Her only comfort was one time finding a Superman-alike who could hold her without hurting her because of his incredible control over his own strength and limited telekinesis. Unfortunately, it didn't last, not the least because she couldn't feel true sensory satiation. Can't taste, can't smell, can't feel anything but pain.
