On Cinemaphile it's cause the users are losers that like childrens cartoons exclusively and despise adult cartoons. First 3 seasons are actually good. I liked everything up until season 8 or whenever Brian got really obnoxious.
The show is a blight on the industry and bringing it back was a mistake.
The horrible arms-at-side 3/4 view stance that every character is always in. The way they line up perfectly on the same plane. The same few hand gestures they all do. It's ugly and lazy.
Aqua Teen also had a semi-surealist style that justified the cheap and weird animation. It was designed from the start to function within the strict budget limitations. Family Guy actually looked much better earlier on. I don't think I have it but there's a side-by-side comparison of Meg and Chris sitting on the couch from early and later and they actually have body language in the earlier shot.
The people in family guy are all shallow and ugly and it’s a sitcom so it’s fitting for the show to have such a low effort and soulless look. I like both shows btw
