I liked it all the way through, though the last season was easily the worst. P.S.- I own a prop from young Ben's room.

I'm in the middle of season 3 now and it starts to become apparent that the writers were making it up as they went along. Still, it has this comfy 2000s atmosphere just before the woke era started to emerge.

That's the show at its lowest. It picks up after that. The second half of S3 is amazing.

I watched the whole thing a year or so ago for the first time, it's amazing

no, they really didn't, many writers for the show have talked about how they did have a plan from the very beginning it just had to change for various reasons, for example after season 1 the network made them get rid of all of the supernatural shit they had planned (so the stuff that was seeded with Walter, the comic, etc.) and they had to find a way to make everything have a grounded, sci-fi expalanation (hence the polar bears being part of a DARMA experiment, opposed to their original idea that Walter summoned them there after reading the comic). After season 3, when the show continued to be a runaway success, they allowed the writers to do whatever and they were able to go back to their original plans involving supernatural elements.

All tht being said, they handled it all extremely well, the way they are able to pay off things from seasons 1 and 2 in the final seasons--even really minor things--is just fantastic.

They were dead the whole time and nothing mattered. They were all shit people in purgatory.

Amazing how Amerifats still got filtered by the ending all these years later.

Amazing how whenever an anon brings up the purgatory theory, other anons just say filtered and never bother to explain what the ending really means. Probably because they don't know what the ending means either.

They were dead the whole time and nothing mattered. They were all shit people in purgatory.

are you moronic? the characters LITERALLY SAY they were not in purgatory the entire time, holy shit you are dumb

if you want an explanation for the ending here: after they all die at various points throughout the show, they all end up in the same "present" in purgatory together and need to find each other in order to all move on from purgatory together.

          god, you're stupid

what christian says is everything was real and mattered. thus, you're saying they weren't in purgatory the whole time because purgatory isn't real.

the ending isn't even that complicated. jack's dad literally looks into the camera in the last episode and says "everything was real all the things on the island actually happened" ffs. the point of the ending and the entire last season was to bring the entire narrative arc of the show to a close, the point was always that all the main characters are broken and the island gave them what they needed to be happy and fulfilled. the alternate reality/"purgatory" segments showcase that if the plane never crashed they would have been worse off because their lives all sucked and they were miserable people, then at the very end they get to have a reunion and get their happy endings/catharsis before they move on.

The church at the end was purgatory, the island and all their adventures on it were real. If you watched and got mad thinking the whole show was set in purgatory, you got filterino'd by your own low IQ and lack of media literacy

I once went on a dare with a girl who looked like a carbon copy of Juliet, albeit 7-8 years younger. It didn't work out and I was hopelessly in love with her for almost a year.

It’s the greatest show ever made or that ever will be made for the audiovisual kinographic medium.

Also you’re a homosexual zoomer newbie that should’ve already known this yourself without a consensus hugbox to tell you. Die, zoomer.

Season 3 first half is super weak because they were killing time until the network gave them a 3 season deal. Picks up back half of S3 and is unmitigated kino till S6 which is kinda mid.

The consensus is that it’s a shit mystery box nothing burger that morons will occasionally defend and it had a detrimental effect on the US tv industry.

Terrible. What's the point of filling and filling mysteries that will never be addressed again and ending it in a 2deep4u way of saying they were all dead

Lost gays will tell you that it's perfect and that you "just didn't get it" or that "you probably think they were dead the whole time." General consensus is that it goes to shit in season 5 and never recovers

    >no they weren't dead the whole time! They just died in the end and that's it!
