what is the high art of Television & Film

Most sophisticated, well regarded and famous works/artists of different media:

Music: Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Bach

Anime/Manga: k-on, non non biyori, gochuumon wa usagi tbh ka

Ignoring what you consider great literature as that part is most likely bait:
    >Last Year at Marienbad
    >Antonioni's trilogy/tetralogy
    >Persona
    >The Passion of Joan of Arc
    >etc.

america was one of the great filmmaking nations of the 20th century, they produced a lot of shit, but they also produced a huge amoung of movies. American cinema also greatly advanced cinematic language between silent and early sound film.

Videogame is not an art. Nobody play videogame to look or appreciate art. It's purely made for entertainment unlike films. And I'm not trying to sound like a pseud here just stating facts
