What is the male equivalent to the Barbie movie?

My friend (female) says I shouldn't complain about the Barbie movie being written by a woman for women, since there must also be some like that but for men. But, are there any really? I know she is bullshitting and couldn't possibly name one.
Is there any film portraying the problems men face in society in an equally obnoxious way the Barbie movie does?

Actually, I think that yes, these two are similar in its obnoxiousness and on the nose symbolism. It checks out since i hate both for being moronic
I refuse to believe anyone above the age of 14 unironically identifies with Joker

This is a stupid question, why would you look at a brand new movie and demand to see an example of something exactly the same but for another gender? There are tons of movies talking about the problems men face in society, some of them are even about toys, but none are going to be exactly like Barbie.

Where did I ask for a brand new movie? I asked for literally any movie

Learn to read, I said you're comparing older movies *to* a brand new movie, meaning Barbie. You can't expect to see something exactly the same as something that just came out, you can find older movies with similarities in the message and themes and whatever else, but not something exactly the same.

Now ask yourself why there aren't any films made like that. You're a dying, impotent demographic of incels and bitter nobodies. None of you produce anything of value or make art so there are no dudebro films anymore because creative and intelligent people aren't stupid enough to make films that would be a fit for you and your troglodyte internet friends.

Whiplash, The Prestige. I'd say any movie that deals with hyper competitive-ness, since that's predominantly a male trait. Sure, there's black swan, but that's all I can really think of by comparison and is very much an outlier.

All the "he's literally me" movies. You guys wouldn't have survived the era of your gf forcing you to go to the theater to watch whatever shitty romcom is popular that month if the Barbie movie makes you seethe this much.

You got a point about those older movies, but you're forgetting that every movie is extremely hateful nowadays so it's okay to just look over it at this point. It was pretty easy to enjoy the barbie movie as a guy tho imo, it was a remake of the Truman Show for deranged morons and I've never seen anyone on here talk about it through that lens.

        >My gf forced me to go to these shitty movies

True lol but ya gotta play chess instead of checkers sometimes, if your girl always gets horned up by dumbass movies then it's an easy lay to just play along for an evening. Mfs really get long term girlfriends then stop going on dates and wonder why they get cucked

They try to convince you he is the bad guy.

      The Godfather
      The Dollar Trilogy
      Taxi Driver
      Gladiator

      Brokeback Mountain
      City of God
      Fight Club

      Gran Torino

These movies aren't about hating females and promoting their abuse and discrimination, so they're not like Barbie movies for men.

If it doesn’t mention the patriarchy at any point and doesn’t have a cringe speech like America Ferrara’s and instead lets the narrative speak for itself and let the audience draw conclusions of their own instead of spelling it out for them it’ll already be better

There’s plenty of movies that celebrate man-hood but honestly I can’t think of any that are abnoxious about it

Most Manly movies promote self-improvement, Stoicism, and independence

Most female empowerent movies preach the opposite message, and that’s what makes them obnoxious

    >society (and men) expect you to improve, but don’t listen to them. You’re already perfect cuz you’re a woman

    >everything should be given to you and everyone should respect you because you’re a woman (and being a woman is hard and men don’t understand)

Yeah there’s movies like Joker and falling down that feature entitled characters that are put down by society. But honestly I don’t consider those movies that celebrate manhood like something like Rocky would

    >My friend (female) says I shouldn't complain about the Barbie movie being written by a woman for women
She's correct. Complaining about woke crap getting shoved into an IP like Star Wars is one thing, but Barbie has always been orientated towards women and girls. If they like it, let them have it. Otherwise, you might as well complain that you don't enjoy Twilight as much as Transformers.

A good anti-woman movie is Alfie a movie where michael caine plays what was then called a womanizer but in today's wokespeak would be a "sexual predator" or even "rapist". He has relationships with femoids whom he treats as objects to be disposed of openly calling them "it". The women in the movie have no power of their own and are portrayed as victims of societies gender roles.
