Enter the Void unironically
>WOOOOOW COOL LIGHTS WHOAAAA VISUALS
>LET'S WATCH MY SISTER HAVE SEX
Very enlightening.
>Sell drugs in Japan, one of the most anti-drug countries in the civilized world
>get shot
Toy story
A Serious Man. The israelites really understand what life is about, I am not kidding.
this. but in retrospect only Joel Coen understands and Ethan is some kind of midwit.
I hated this movie. It was nothing but hardcore israeli Neuroticism
This movie is very israeli
Like I didn't know what i was getting into and it felt like getting slapped with a gefilte fish for 1.5 hours.
I also learned that Yiddish is just German with a goofy accent
But I didn't DO anything!
Hits way too close to home....
its only enlightening if you, for whatever reason, thought inaction was a way to avoid consequences.
That 'Far Cry' sticker always gets me
I miss the bargain bins in shops full of outdated/obscure PC games
have a nice day, pathetic froghomosexual moron.
Not saying it’s the most x ever but I really liked kundun. It’s about Buddhism. Also really like the life of Jesus and that’s on YouTube https://youtu.be/2mgUPt2KI08
Watch a korean movie with the title "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring Again"
The Holy Mountain.
Thin red line
>Passion of the Christ
>I Stand Alone
>Cobra Verde
>Stalker
Also this
This movie was disappointing to me. Had some cool visuals but had nothing to say about spirituality. It just leaned on established visual and spiritual motif's
I Stand Alone is a rough and unpleasant movie. I didn't feel enlightened after watching... I felt dirty and sad.
The ending shows that even if the deepest of despair in the most fricked up disgusting situation beauty in life is literally unavoidable, in that it's one of the most beautiful movies in the world to me.
zeitgeist: addendum
Limitless
The Ninth Configuration
The Fountain
seconded
yeah
Salò o los 120 días de Sodoma
walter mitty if you have maladaptive daydreaming. look it up.
rip
this scene
DREAMS
I Heart Huckabee. I never understood it as a kid but as an adult it felt like an entire revelation also I've been in the middle of an existential crisis for the last few years
All is Lost
Whiplash
Andrei Rublev
Perfect Days
>perfect days
You ever read a "best ______ movies of all time" list and get pissed because they shoehorn in a current year movie with diversity into the number one or two spot?
There's no diversity in Perfect Days because it's a Japanese movie and its themes are timeless
Can't take a movie seriously until its been out for at LEAST 5 years. Even if it is good. Some things just don't age well and are only good in the cultural zeitgeist of the time they were released. We simply just don't know how timeless a film is until time has passed.
No need to get your panties in a wad
Your 5 year rule seems insecure because you should be able to recognize a movie's worth inherently and instantly instead of clinging to external factors. Pay attention
No its an arbitrary number to filter out autistic hypelords like yourself
Your own "rule" is what's autistic but you lacked the self-awareness to realize until now. It implies you're a philistine and can't trust your own judgment
No I trust my own judgement I'm just old enough and self aware enough to have some humility, I'm beyond my teenage hubris unlike you
Psychotic delusional behavior
But enough about you
What delusions do I have?
You think people actually care about your trash opinions enough to post them here
Oh haha so you're just making up random nonsense.
Let's get back to this sad arbitrary 5-year rule that you think people are interested in. How long have you had these difficulties coping with reality?
What exactly is the trash opinion? The one where I made fun of you? Sad
I enjoy talking to most anons
Perfect Days is Kino and you clearly have not watched it
Cars.
Think about the message, no more chasing after cars (pun intended), wealth, fame, etc, it's all about community and family.
Trash Humpers
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. unironically.
the three of life ofc
Nic Cage talking about love near the end of Adaptation really stuck with me for some reason
Vanilla Sky
Waking Life
The Fountain
Idiocracy
I liked Limitless, always forces me to think about my life and my future every time I watch it.
Any other answer than Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring (2003) is automatically wrong I'm afraid. Im glad anons tried but the thread starts and ends with this post
