Because I really like detective movies, and to my dismay people actually thought the first one was actually a good one.
Even then I strongly disagreed and argued against it, because Rian Johnson is a mortal enemy of cause and effect concepts. His series is like Coen Brothers movie for drooling morons - good visuals and triple A actors cast in roles they usually don't do, all to hide atrocious script. It crumbles under any scrutiny, but still people liked it. Glass Onion though...that is an abomination, an insult to anyone with IQ above 70, insult to movie making craft and an insult to detective genre. I didn't expect it to be this bad.

Rian Johnson wrote a character of rightwing schizo who just shoots his gun into the air from the motorbike in the streets of Italy, and then when an obvious glowBlack person approaches him with aerosol chemical, he asks him what that is and when glowie tells him poignantly 'DON'T worry about it' he lets him spray it in his mouth. That is incredible.

it was alright. The message of the film is anti-nihilist which at least sets it apart from most Hollywood tripe.
i enjoyed it. It was a feminist movie but i didnt mind because it was subtle enough for the feminist garbage to be ignored and the story to be a basic love story set in a time where it was forbidden.

It's meant to be stage magicians, relatively grounded in reality. they go to GREAT LENGTHS to establish this and make the whole plot a "le stage magicians are tricky thus also machiavellian geniuses" thing.
I still had guy ritchie's sherlock holmes fresh in my mind, where they spattered magic and the supernatural throughout the film and had holmes explain it all away.
I expected that. When the magicians were floating around on-stage in CGI bubbles, I was thinking "wow I wonder how they did that" and waiting to learn how. I never did. I left the theatre fricking angry that the only explained 'trick' was the simplest one with the least flashy bullshit. And they slapped me one last time by having the main characters burst into money, like a big fricking "Lmao thanks for the ticket sale, moron"
I'm actually mad that they made a sequel with meme potential because this absolute insult to moviegoers should have been forgotten the moment it was out of theatres

I feel like I lived my entire life just so that I could see Everything Everywhere All At Once. This is easily the best movie I have ever seen in my entire life. This is the only movie I have ever seen that made me cry. Most recommended film I can ever recommend to someone.
