Standup in general sucks shit, it's an awful outdated form of comedy that rewards being a performer who appeals to mass audiences over actually being funny. You'd think Nick would resent standup for keeping him a poor nobody for over a decade when his dumb podcast that just let him be himself made him tons of money but he resents the podcast instead
This. Standup has this weird respect amongst comedians but even old school people like Norm had their best material happen off the stage and comedians who were great on the stage like Chappelle fricking suck now. Comedy isn't dead but stand up absolutely is.

Nick and Norm are both examples of comedians who were funnier off than on the stage, but that isn't really representative of stand-up. I disagree that is outdated or inferior to other modes of entertainment
it's even worse now because they have to cater to the lowest common denominator normie in the crowd who can't even handle words like "homosexual" or even light racial material
Nick's stand up material isn't good either. They're both bad but Nick is even worse. Why are they obsessed with doing stand up anyway? It's not like doing stand up is any more professional than podcasting.
>le heckin Craft
If Nick and Stav leave the podcast that makes them hundreds of thousands of dollars a year it will be the biggest self-own of their lives. Adam is smart enough to know that it's the easiest fricking job in the world and "cred" from comedians doesn't matter
>"cred" from comedians
I hate "comedians" so much it's unreal. They talk ad nauseam about their "craft" because deep down they know its a bullshit job. Writing for TV and broadcasting is infinitely more admirable but they persist in sniffing each others farts. Performing standup is modern day vaudeville. It's one step up from showtime on the subway.
The LA comics are the worst. Somehow the self righteousness and lack of self awareness hits them the hardest. I think it's trickle down douchebaggery from being around a bunch of A listers and Hollywood israelites/shitlibs. Nobody talks about "The Craft" more than the LA comic scene. The Rogan crew is just as insufferable. The Death Squad? More like the Bomb Squad.
Is Adam better at stand-up? He has one clip on Youtube and it's shit (literally). He's funny on twitter and in his role on the pod but I've never heard people praise his stand-up. Stav, meanwhile, is good at the social aspect, crowdwork, etc.
Standup requires charisma and some degree of phoniness and insincerity because a standup has to convince the audience that they're doing their set for the first time ever and it's not a totally rehearsed stage act. Nick has zero charisma and has trouble being anything but sincere.
Mullens true calling is sketch comedy. If he was born 20 years earlier he'd be a writer on SNL like Louis. Nick got cancelled before he ever got famous.
>talk about how this is the final year of the podcast and your glad it's ending >one member actually leaves >very next episode scramble to try and find a replacement
Nick is in real shit. No matter how much he hates himself and jokes about going back to being a wage slave he literally wouldn't be able to make it. He wouldn't be able to work one full time wagie job let alone two that are pretty much needed just make rent and feed yourself in NY. The podcast is literally all he has.
Adam would reluctantly be able to manage a slightly higher paying wagie job with his degree and israeli connections but he wouldn't be able to stomach the idea for long I imagine.
Nick recently had a heart attack, that's why he is taking the pod more seriously and has started doing stand up again. he has to pay off all his medical debt.
Stav is an butthole for leaving as soon as he got a little bit of success, i can see him completely shitting on the pod and nick to distance himself but he will be cancelled.
Nick should be set money wise but he lost most of it in crypto
His shtick is wearing hats indoors "ironically" because he's 33 and finally starting to recede, which he has spoken multiple time on the pod as being the worst thing that could possibly happen to him.
I don't think so. And I'm not a Stav hater, it would be cool for me if he became super famous just out of having known him before that, but I just don't think he's funny enough to go further than just being maybe one of the more successful comics
Stav has not been funny since the ''bill cosby denies the holocaust'' bit, he can be replaced in weeks. What a moron, they will still cancell him an now he has nothing.
>Make your unfunny friends relatively rich and famous for years as you constantly ad lib funny shit and they just laugh and repeat your jokes >Get tossed aside the second something "better" comes along
Sad
hes morphing into Hunter S Thompson
His schtick basically is being my best friend who I love very much. He also respects me and we talk everyday. He is also my dad and my older brother.
Why is his standup so bad? Someone please tell Nick that he sucks at standup and that he should stick to podcasting.

>nick's delivery and stage presence sucks
>stav's material sucks
>they may never join forces ever again
It hurts
Nick's stand up material isn't good either. They're both bad but Nick is even worse. Why are they obsessed with doing stand up anyway? It's not like doing stand up is any more professional than podcasting.

They're hilariously self-serious. Their job is to make drunk people laugh and they think they're philosophers

They say multiple times on the show that stand-up is a bullshit job where you make drunk people laugh, you're fighting against a strawman.
how are stav and adam way better at standup when nick is funnier than both of them
Is Adam better at stand-up? He has one clip on Youtube and it's shit (literally). He's funny on twitter and in his role on the pod but I've never heard people praise his stand-up. Stav, meanwhile, is good at the social aspect, crowdwork, etc.

Nick needs someone else to bounce ideas and bits off of and Stav is both metaphorically and physically one of the best people to do just that
Mullens true calling is sketch comedy. If he was born 20 years earlier he'd be a writer on SNL like Louis. Nick got cancelled before he ever got famous.
>talk about how this is the final year of the podcast and your glad it's ending
>one member actually leaves
>very next episode scramble to try and find a replacement
>what if a moron was gay?
>small hands
>those wrists
its over
He's 5'5 max
It's unironically over for him. He's a genius bit writer but no one will ever hire him.

nick is worth millions of dollars. i wouldn't worry about him
Yeah but he’s a huge drug addict he’ll blow all that money in a year once it stops rolling in if he stops the podcast
>What is this schtick?
It's called being a mediocre standup
Nick recently had a heart attack, that's why he is taking the pod more seriously and has started doing stand up again. he has to pay off all his medical debt.
Stav is an butthole for leaving as soon as he got a little bit of success, i can see him completely shitting on the pod and nick to distance himself but he will be cancelled.
Nick should be set money wise but he lost most of it in crypto
How does a heart attack put you in medical debt? My dad had a minor heart attack and all he got was a heart monitor it didn't cost shit.
>Cinemaphile already starting the RLM court case meme with coomtown
beautiful
Cinemaphile headcannon is always better than the real thing
I love cum town and starting to actively root against stavvy
Fuk u stavvy
There's been an explosion at the cereal factory?
Being a twitter homosexual
His shtick is wearing hats indoors "ironically" because he's 33 and finally starting to recede, which he has spoken multiple time on the pod as being the worst thing that could possibly happen to him.
You're projecting your own insecurities my dude.
he's uncomfortable in his own skin. 10/10 quality for a stand up comedian lmao.
How long until Stav gets accused of rape?
is it true steve bros?
Nick should unironically be an actor. His small acting roles have been good. He has a screen presence. His stand up is bad.
More like five gay men
I'm genuinely slightly concerned that Nick might kill himself
If Nick kills himself, i will kill stav
stav will be untouchable soon. I genuinely believe he's heading to the big time.
I don't think so. And I'm not a Stav hater, it would be cool for me if he became super famous just out of having known him before that, but I just don't think he's funny enough to go further than just being maybe one of the more successful comics
I mean, stupid irrelevant homosexuals like you predict shit that never happens all the time.
that's just rude
Stav has not been funny since the ''bill cosby denies the holocaust'' bit, he can be replaced in weeks. What a moron, they will still cancell him an now he has nothing.
*psst* hey buddy could you spare me a buck?
I used to be on a podcast with Stavros Halkias you know
>Make your unfunny friends relatively rich and famous for years as you constantly ad lib funny shit and they just laugh and repeat your jokes
>Get tossed aside the second something "better" comes along
Sad
Does Nick have any recent standup on YouTube?
There was one like a month ago but it got taken down
What if Nick goes the manager route and finds a protegé to show him the ropes? Can't be worse than making shirts.
