It was a decent show that massively fumbled in the endzone with the last couple seasons.

the first three seasons are pretty good. then it just kind of meanders and repeats itself in a stagnant matter until the last season when they do a bunch of retcons to make Bojack Horseman worse than the show ever portrayed him as because the showrunners were mindbroken that Harvey Weinstein liked the underwater episode.
I really liked the underwater episode. It made me stop watching the show because I realized how little I liked the other episodes.
I haven't seen it but if it's half as good as Tuca and Bertie then eventually I'll pick it up.

I can't get into it, despite having been interested in the idea of animated (comedy) dramas since I saw Moral Orel in 2008. I just don't like Bojack Horseman's style of comedy and find the visuals too stiff and ugly especially for drama. If you're going to try to pull on my heartstrings, try not having the shot compositions of Family Guy.

It's a good show. Too many people either consider it a masterpiece or the worst show ever, but in reality, it's just a pretty good series.
Funny enough, for all the emotion elements it's knows for tackling, it's also the show I consider to have some of the funniest animal people gags, both verbal and visual.
I stopped watching after Todd became a CEO and then watched a YouTube video explaining what happened next. I dodged a fricking bullet because those last few seasons sounded miserable.
I'll still commission lewds of PC's mom though.

It was a strange "redemption" arc because he never got redemption and it showed that even if you want to become better, it doesn't mean the people you've hurt have to forgive you, and that it's not just a happy good feeling thing, improvement is painful and hard

The show acted as good catharsis for a bit but felt excessive after a while. The animation is pretty lackluster, so there wasn't really anything to keep my interest.
Enough to watch it 4 times.
I liked it overall. Enjoyed the dramatic elements a lot. The comedy mostly fell flat for me. In particular Todd's B plots in the later seasons. The only reason it even had all that comedic bullshit is because they wouldn't have been allowed to do the actual serious storylines otherwise.
