Maurice and Mooch is just one segment from generally awful Tex Avery show and if anything, it's more like a $1 version of Sylvester and Tweety.

Bonus points: All of these have an episode where the moron character becomes smart, which pisses off the smart character.

This show is so popular in Japan it still aired on reruns on Disney Junior to this day.
They were always cash ins to Ren & Stimpy since Lion King.

I liked how all the other characters had their own episodes while also appearing in Timon & Pumbaa centric episodes.
I honestly preferred these secondary character-centric episodes over the ones with the titular duo. Sadly they seemed to have abandoned them midway through the first season for some reason so there aren't very many.
