>solid cast
>good plot
>terrifying monsters with original idea
>characters aren't stupid, very realistic., even the simp who dies is believable
no one knows of it and feels like its missing something to make it true kino.
The only plot hole is that the manor wasnt divided into many sections to prevent breaches. Like all it takes is one weak person to let in the monsters and the whole manor is dead, then again its shown the monsters can break through wood so maybe sectioning of the manor like that wouldn't help either. I guess the most obvious solution would be to just nail down all the windows of the manor so that there is only one heavily guarded entry and exit, i think in most irl situations people would of done that right?

>yet another generic drama pretending to be something else
>What prevents this show from being a KINO?
Your pic shows clearly.
he is good imo, i loled when he shouted at the dad for being drunk. Like wtf dude chill he is already traumtized shit lol
yeah, but it home for him because if you remember his wife was killed by the monsters and it doesnt explain why he wasnt there to protect him or why his homosexual son hates him, makes me think he was fricking around in some way that he wasnt there to protect his wife which got her killed. So maybe he was projecting on that drunk gay.
>his wife was killed by the monsters and it doesnt explain why he wasnt there to protect him or why his homosexual son hates him,
You didn't watch the show with your phone turned off, right? Because all of that is explained near the end.
Besides that. Why is his Black son such a huge fricking homosexual? He has an ego of a giant yet does nothing, but b***h entire season.
did your mom get railed by an octaroon? why are you so angry?
You guys didn't pay much attention. He was mad because of his guilt over him having to kill his wife because he ignored that his wife was losing it, even after his son told him.
The drunk guy was just an easy target for him to project his self-hatred onto even though the bar man was even more guilty for leaving him crashed out on the floor and his wife should have nailed the windows even if he didn't.
I guess you never watched "Oz" "Sons of Anarchy" "Constantine" or "Romeo and Juliet" because he is kino in all of those. He's one of the best black actors out there. He's established himself before the woke BS on his own merits.
>Could have been 3 episodes shorter
>Annoying main family
>Manor people are dumb as frick
>killed off the likable priest
>bad name for a show
Overall I like it though.
the asian cop and his girlfriend are literally just Steven Yeun and the girl from TWD
the plot could've moved a lot faster if the son talked to his parents about what the frick he's doing with the creepy guy.
yes to all 5.
Very good depiction of a priest given the circumstances. Greatly enjoyed his character
Only saw the first two episodes then stopped but
>Showing the monsters at all
>Too many hipster artsy characters who you hate/don't feel attached to like the normal people on LOST
>Boring small town set, they should've mixed it up with a bunker they constructed or something
the monsters at all
I agree that the transformation of the monsters is bad, its cringe. They are way more scary when they keep human form, especially the one who managed to fool the simp.
The show could definitely benefit if they made the monsters more scarce. Also it would be cool if they made a show or introduced a monster that can walk in the daylight and change into other people, that would be more scary.
Yellowjackets and this better get their shit together in their 2nd seasons
whats this from
Yes, it is from
Yes
too many knee grows.
Very shitty name, curious people cant google it well
The monster parts are fine, it had some potential but the characters were all moronic and annoying. It also falls into the Mike Flanagan trap of every episode being 1% interesting stuff 99% of blahblahblahblah muh feelings muh son blahblahblah, too boring
His son is a giant worthless homosexual with a stick up his ass.
Otherwise i enjoyed it.
For me it was how the kino setting was almost immediately deconstructed and twisted and subverted in all sorts of different directions just to keep the audience entertained.
Why not spend S01 exploring the town and its peculiarity from the POV of the new family?
Or setup a simple mystery, overall plot, while filling the time with SoL stuff, a la Twin Peaks?
The whole thing was just too rushed and by the second to last episode I lost all interest in it.
This brings me back to win every year you had a whole mess of Lost clones.
It's just a mildly annoying series knowing that even if it got 5 Seasons they would never actually answer the questions they bring up and only just bring up more questions.
the daughter is fine though
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
Dude that let that b***h in should've made a gloryhole and forced her to frick him through it or he won't let her in.
Issue is you there won't be a satisfying resolution to the mysteries so why bother getting involved
I will now download this show and leave this thread.
what happens with these two?
Her lesbo waifu came with the bus at the end. So even more "love" drama triangle(asian-bisexual woman-lesbian) awaits in season 2. Can't fricking wait...
Shouldn't have killed off the priest. He was easily the best character.
Why does every single modern western show have a Black person or gay subplot, or often both?
Seriously, I can't name a single show that doesnt have some gay or race shit going on it.
Too boring
>"Hey reverend how was your day?"
>pulls up a chair, takes a deep breath
>"Let me tell you a little story..."
then he goes into a 15 minute monologue. It's because of this shit.
