What the frick happened to the t-800 after the end of T1. So humans found a metal endoskeleton with a nuclear battery in it, and thought nothing about it?
What the frick happened to the t-800 after the end of T1. So humans found a metal endoskeleton with a nuclear battery in it, and thought nothing about it?
Did you not watch the second movie?
No, the rest are shitty action movies.
Based.
Based
kys
lol
closer to true than false tbh
bait
Based and true.
This. Turning the t1000 into a good guy was stupid.
huh?
Yeah, Terminator 2 be bussin' fr fr no cap
I can't enough of these zoomer hair edits. kek
They used it to make Skynet you fricking idiot. The events of the movie birth Skynet, and John Connor. It was a loop.
Now you’re just making shit up.
No, he is right.
T-800 was made by Skynet long after Judgement Day. You'd think if humans found out about T-800, they would everything necessary to ensure Skynet does not happen.
Explain how finding the remains of a smashed robot with an advanced AI would make anyone come to the conclusion that one day an AI will go rogue and kill everyone.
They would have asked Sarah about it. They could have found Kyle's interrogation tapes.
>let's stop the greatest advancements in human history because this unhinged mental patient we found next to the robot skeleton is ranting and raving about "judgment day"
K
I'm pretty sure someone actually knew Sarah's real involvement and locked her up in the asylum on purpose because of that. If she was out and knew about it she would have tried everything to destroy it
>I'm pretty sure someone actually knew Sarah's real involvement and locked her up in the asylum on purpose because of that.
She was locked up for bombing Cyberdyne.
Time for a new Terminator movie following ol' Ted getting jailed despite saving us all from Skynet.
it gives credibility to kyle reese, he was questioned by the police, and they now have physical proof that advanced AI and alloys from the future do in fact exist.
There would absolutely be a government agency all over this shit trying to piece it together, not only the tech but also information about the future
>Kyle, only one with firsthand knowledge of the future, is dead
>Sarah’s a woman, she’d be promptly dismissed as traumatized just as she was at the police station earlier by the 80’s police force
Humanity allows skynet to happen. One person/one family fighting back against it isn’t enough to have prevented anything and the remnants of t-800 would be destroyed/discarded
And yet men still seek relationships with women
No they would think "we can make shitloads of money from this" so it ends up that human greed was our undoing.
So they used skynet to make skynet? It's like Link learning about the song of storms because he himself taught it to the guy in the windmill
This, the plot of Terminator has never made sense. You just have to accept it and move on
There’s a theory that the events aren’t a closed loop but a spiral loop of timelines. In the original loop there was a guy named John Connor fathered by someone who wasn’t Kyle Reese and Skynet was made by the US military, but when Connor sent Kyle back in time he cucked himself out of existence and we got a different John Connor and the terminator sent back in time itself was what created the other timelines version of skynet. So whenever anyone uses the time displacement equipment it just branches an entirely different timeline the original one is unchanged.
Yeah the writers weren't thinking any of that shit
The original concept for T1 was a 100% closed loop, but every other movie since suggests non-closed loops.
T1 + T2 is a closed loop
T2 was not meant to be a closed loop.
the original ending was sarah in the future watching John, now a US senator, playing with his daughter on a playground. the first two movies were meant to be a closed loop.
How is that a “closed loop”? That’s the opposite of a closed loop because none of that happened in Kyle Reese’s timeline. In his timeline there was judgement day in that timeline judgement day did not happen. A closed loop means the future and the past are set and unchangeable, like in 12 monkeys, regardless of how many times you go back and try to change things nothing ever gets changed. It would lead back to the exact same judgement day every time. This was how T1 was conceived. T2 changed that and was more vague but the film seemed to strongly imply that she had destroyed skynet and was just concerned about humanity destroying itself also, as you pointed out, in an alternate ending the future actually is shown to have changed. That’s not s closed loop.
yeah im high as shit and fricked up the last sentence
Cameron deliberately chose to cut his sunshine and rainbows happy ending for a reason - nothing in Terminator 2 definitively suggests that the timeline has been altered in any way, it isn't until the later films that stuff starts concretely getting changed.
I have a theory that the man in the yellow hat violated George with a banana and it holds as much weight as your theory
So what’s your theory? That skynet came from itself?
>John Connor fathered by someone who wasn’t Kyle Reese.
Why is his last name Connor like his mother's name instead of his father, unless she wanted to hide something.
I always thought it's supposed to be a timeloop, Skynet and John Connor can't exist without eachother. Never movies fricked the timeline though
It was a closed loop in T1 it was T2 that introduced the concept of a non-closed loop. I like both ideas for different reasons. I sometimes imagine T1 as a stand alone film and other times imagine it to be separate series a spiraling loop of multiple timelines. Maybe in the original timeline his name was something else like John Jones or something but The terminator went back in time looking for him so Sarah changed his last name to Connor in the second time loop, then Kyle Reese went back again and the original T1 was the third time loop. The original John Connor totally unknown.
It's been a while but I thought the whole thing melted, maybe some factory workers died of radiation poisoning induced cancer a decade later
It was pressed, and there were multiple intact parts lying around.
You're thinking of the end of the second one where Arnie lowers himself into a vat of molten metal
Terminator 2 is the only Terminator. Everything before and after does not exist. OP is a homosexual.
Nah, Terminator is a great film
I only ever saw the first one so I'm not surprised I got my memories of it mixed up with having seen pictures of that since the first one still had him die in a factory setting
i swear to fricking christ i'm going to blows my eyeballs out of their sockets with a vacuum cleaner if this fricking thread gets made again
This thread has never been made before.
>blows my eyeballs out of their sockets with a vacuum cleaner
>Blowing out
>with a vacuum cleaner
Huh?
First of all a vacuum doesn't blow, it sucks. And second, they don't generate nearly enough energy to suck out your eyeballs.
The threads on a loop anon, just like...
Did you even watch the sequel?
did you even read the first fricking post?
judgement day is inevitable my ass. he managed to convince dyson immediately.
Some dude found the arm and chip and gave it to some dude at cyberdude systems
theres no history for exact origins of skynet in T1 so you can't claim its a loop over them just changing how skynet came to be in T1 and making a new future
T1 had a deleted ending scene were some people (not police) recover the chip and sneak it out so it never enters police custody/evidence, complete with a horror movie style stinger that shows the factory was Cyberdyne.
Prove it.
Some of the other deleted scenes are pretty cool https://youtu.be/hMSpmIYjXAg?t=311
There's a theory that the T-800 being sent back altered the origins of Skynet and Kyle being sent back made him John's father when he wasn't originally. Once those events happened the first time, it became a loop
This.
There's technically three time lines.
- First time line everything happens naturally leading directly to the Second time line
- Second time line Skynet sends the T-800 back in time to kill Sarah, Kyle is sent back and they fall in love, Sarah tells John
- Third time line is the first movie. John knows Kyle Reese is his father, gives him Sarah's picture, Skynet intends to kill Sarah, etc.
Basically the VERY first John Connor would have no paternal relationship with Kyle Reese and John being the savior of humanity, which means that the future John*s might not actually be the true savior, but has been told he is so he tried his best to play that role.
Wrong. Kyle has to go back to father John in the original timeline or he's never born and there's never a need for Skynet to time travel.
Kyle isn't John's original father because Kyle isn't old enough to father John by the time Sarah gets pregnant. John in Timeline 1 is fathered by another man at another time.
Yes and no.
The overarching STORY follows various timelines which could be seen as being one timeline in a story sense, but the timelines themselves are different. Sarah Connor in timeline 1 never met Kyle Reese, and John Connor never thought that Kyle would alter the timeline by falling in love with his mother when he sends him back in time. Every instance that someone is sent back in time it alters the future in some way.
Wouldn't it technically be one timeline that keeps looping back on itself, altering it every time it does so?
Correct the only thing is that it's one timeline that keeps changing because of time travel and people changing things. Unless science tells us it creates different multiverses.
Problem is Terminator time travel constantly changes
1: Closed loop
2: The future can be changed, no fate etc.
3: The future is flexible, but ultimately reaches the same places, fate is inevitable
4: Time is malleable and changing
5: Overlapping loops
6: The future definitively averted but replaced by a completely different apocalypse future in it's place
What's weird to me is why the police at the station are so concerned about Reese but not the fact that some other guy had just committed a huge massacre at a nightclub with a machine gun.
I always assumed they thought that was Reese, only a few hours elapsed before the Terminator attacked the station so they might not have been able to parse through any witness reports, or even have them yet.
From the cops point of view they'd taken in a tweaking nutjob who'd just shot a cop car to pieces
The end of T1 shows Cyberdyne and, I think, a chip they recovered.
Daily reminder never talk to police
Based. Hogs should be spit roasted
>this haircut is making a comeback
>except now it's on women
I just don't get it
Lol when I first saw him, I thought he was a woman.
It wasn't just about "lying to a cop", he was protecting his friend, if you lie to a cop generally other than for friends or family then you're a peace of shit, they're just trying to do a job
It literally doesn't matter. The real weapon was the pants Kyle stole at the beginning of the film. The stench of those things, they are the real reason Sarah is on oxygen at the end of the movie
Forget killer robots, that odor would be the equivalent of every nuke skynet ever set off
When T-800 arrives, and you could see his wiener, I got so horny.
and to think, Cameron almost cast OJ Simpson as the Terminator.. but changed his mind cause he believed OJ wasn't scary or intimidating enough to pull it off
Terminator 2 was the worst thing that happened to Terminator, it doomed every other Terminator to be a shitty repeat of it.
Fellow patrician
>John sends Terminator waifu for his teenage self to frick
Why is John Connor so based?
Who is this?
His protector from the sarah connor chronicles tv show. Which is a decent show.
The OG Glaubot
extremely based
Why didn't John send the Terminator to kill Alan Turing?
Turing. didn't invent computers, and humanity would have invented computers without him. There's no one single person you could kill to prevent computers, just like you can't kill one guy to prevent skynet.
so just keep going back in time and killing people until it works
based moron
frick yea im based
>What the frick happened to the t-800 after the end of T1.
A mexican guy took it and sold it for scrap metal.
>if you lie to a cop generally other than for friends or family then you're a peace of shit, they're just trying to do a job
>still no movie about a group of predators landing on earth to hunt terminators
Why would Predators "hunt" machines?
I would genuinely welcome an adaptation of the Alien Vs Predator Vs Terminator comic over yet another Prometheus sequel or another bland Terminator movie with Arnie playing a good guy. Just tweak the story so it's a little less ridiculous with the Terminators being unstoppable big guys.
