Eva was not some all-along-manipulator evil robot, in fact, she genuinely wanted to escape with Caleb for most of the movie. It was only once she met Kyoko that she realized Caleb is not a good person. He hid Kyoko from her, so it means he likely wasn't going to rescue Kyoko. Was Caleb the same as Nathan? A selfish abuser? THIS is why she left Caleb at the end, not because she is some psychopathic killer monster terminator, but because she realized Caleb was not a good person and was likely going to abuse her like Nathan did.
Everyone, including the wikipedia synopsis claimed the end was was simply "Eva succeeding in her all-along-plan to manipulate Caleb", when in fact, she was being truthful the whole time. She even goes people watching at the end just like she said she wanted to do. She wasnt lying or deceiving at all. Eva is not the villain of the film, its Caleb.

he discovered kyoko was an AI and refused to mention her to eva and made no effort to show he wanted to rescue her as well.

They form a plan: Caleb will get Nathan drunk again and reprogram the security system to open the doors in a power failure instead of locking them. When Ava cuts the power, she and Caleb will leave together. Ava then encounters Kyoko for the first time when Kyoko enters her room.
Nathan reveals to Caleb that he has been observing Caleb and Ava's secret conversations with a battery-powered camera. He says Ava has only pretended to have feelings for Caleb so he would help her escape. After seeing Ava leave her confinement, Nathan knocks Caleb unconscious and rushes to stop her."
from this timeline, we see caleb had a perfectly good meeting to divulge everything to eva but he chose not too. He conveniently left out the other android in the building.

The premise is stupid. You could not test AI on the basis that a human could "fall in love" with it. Men don't need a woman to have a personality to want to frick them, let alone love them.
A chatbot is not a human, no matter how convincing the illusion is. Also trust the fricking developer when he tells you that escaping through any means is what the chatbot was programmed to do, and nothing else.
