Unless i'm walking a straight up spoof(leslie nielsen, mel brooks, wayans) i need the movie to take itself seriously or i can't. It's not something i've chosen, i just can't ignore it when a movie that is otherwise pretty serious or starts with a very serious premise suddenly turns goofy. No matter how good the movie up until then was, it instantly becomes a 0/10.
They were attempting to grab a new audience with a modern soft reboot that'd eventually lead to another Army of Darkness and then a movie where they crossover. Not enough of a demand for the soft reboot so they killed it and moved on to Ash Vs. Evil Dead.
Reboot doesn't have near the dedicated fanbase that Bruce's stuff had and Jane Levy isn't interested in doing a sequel. 2013 is dead. Won't get more Ash stuff unless it's just Bruce doing voice acting. That's why they're rebooting it again with Evil Dead Rise.
>Evil Dead Rise.
As long as Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are not involved it has a chance of being good and not cringe 3 stooges humour. It worked in Evil dead 2 because the movie was still dark and scary, then in Army and Ash vs Evil it became a parody.
If Bruce Campbell wants to stay a fat slob the rest of his life good for him. Just stop going in front of a camera is all I ask. If I wanted to watch fat people I can step outside my house I live in America after all.
this is honestly one of my favorite horror movies from the last decade. I'd much rather watch something like this over Hereditary or some slow burn bone chilling A24 flick
That violence against woman is sexually arousing or maybe that's just me lol
Lets make a decent reboot and make a lot of money? Quit being a hyperbolic homosexual OP.
but they ended up making the shittiest reboot ever
What part of "Quit being a hyperbolic homosexual OP." did you not get?
>creepy old cabin's basement is full of hanging mutilated cats, human-shaped burn marks, and an ancient book wrapped in barbed wire that warns not to open or read from it

I liked it, the violence was really unsettling and the ending was kino. Still waiting for a Mia/Ash team up movie that will never happen.
stop watching movies on twitch
I thought it was ok
It's good, you got filtered
frick you, it's better than the fricking sequel. probably one of the best remakes ever.
>it's better than the fricking sequel.
Ah, so your taste is shit

C'mon, at this point you're baiting
Filtered
If it used less CGI and more practical effects, I think I would've actually liked it more than the originial.
This. This is mainly why I remember it being disappointing. This board has the worst taste in horror ftmp.
(You)
there's no way people actually like this movie
there's no charm it's just edgy and dumb like everything post 2010
Shit-tier and wrong opinion, it's a good movie.
Frick you OP you're a staggering homosexual with shit taste in movies.
Evil Dead reboot is the best horror movie in the last 10 years
I liked it a lot.
Sex-haver here
Evil Dead 2>Evil Dead(2013)>Evil Dead >Army of Darkness
Army of darkness and Ash vs evil dead really killed this franchise 2013 was solid. Hope it gets a sequel Ash is cringe at this point ruins the movies.

Great move, that serie was so damn great. Shame Starz are a bunch of gays.
by season 3 the concept was growing thin anyway.
we ultimate got like 15 more hours of evil dead kino? thats pretty amazing.
You are all homosexuals for watching horror movies
