Seasons 1-7 are the golden years.
Season 8 onwards was 70-80% new writers.

No show is supposed to last longer than 5 seasons. 7 at the absolute maximum, if it's a really engrossing show and the writers are on fire. Anything beyond that and it's just milking it for a paycheck.
