The tv season was about the start of a rebellion, there was at the very least least one season of Gelfling genocide we missed out on.

I think they had too much star power in the voice cast when they should've been hiring voice actors/actresses for cheaper.
They were probably paying a shitload of money for people like natalie dormer & awkwafina to voice characters when people wouldn't even recognize them, and VAs would've done just as well, if not better for less
It's crazy how loaded the cast was when the only ones that actually mattered were Mark Hamill and Simon Pegg. It's like using your actor budget for marketing.

It's crazy because you could barely even tell who was playing what character, which shows that they're talented voice actors, but as far as the show's production is concerned it doesn't really matter.

If it's any consolation, Netflix's decline can be directly traced to not renewing Dark Crystal AOR.

Dark Crystal was one of my favorite movies as a kid and still holds a special place in my heart. When I heart Netflix was going to do a series, I avoided it, because they tend to ruin everything. (Granted, I found Season One of Daredevil quite good.) When I heard Dark Crystal was GOOD I was poised to watch it after it finished airing, but then heard they fricking CANCELLED the thing. I won't get Firefly'd again. Netflix is so incredibly stupid. Not only did they piss off the fans and leave them hanging, but they're essentially stuck with a dead-end property, as people like me are NOT going to watch something that is incomplete and a tease.

It doesn't get a really solid ending but since it's a prequel there's enough there to connect the dots and the show actually does a lot to expand the world. It's super comfy. I'd still recommend it if you liked the movie even though there's a big gap in between.
