I really enjoyed furiosa, but I might be biased because I love all the mad max movies including beyond thunderdome. Chris Hemsworth stole the show. Might see it again before it leaves the cinema.
The apes movie really started to drag towards the end. They didn't do enough to really make me care about the human girl. The ending sequence about the apes trying to access the military bunker felt so contrived and awkwardly executed.
The movie is very slow moving and meditative. There were moments where the beautiful images of the forest combined with the killer walking through them worked for me and put me into a sort of trance, but they were fleeting. I ended up feeling pretty bored throughout.
Saw In a Violent Nature the other day in a half filled theater. It was so quiet. No one even made a sound during THAT kill, idk if that's a gold thing or bad thing. Overall good movie
There were two people in my screening who were laughing and cheering during all the kills.
I definitely won't forget THAT kill for a long time. I thought about it all the way home.

kingdom of the planet of the apes. i bought my ticket online and reserved a seat, when i get there a woman sitting next to the seat i reserved. So i sit a few seats over, she whispers to me asking if i want popcorn, when i reject her she just gets on her phone and starts scrolling through tiktok
I don't know how anybody can stand going to a theatre. You have to deal with annoying people being loud, texting with bright screens, people blocking the bottom part of the screen, and worst of all, sharing armrests. Frick that.
I considered going to Paterson alone, but I forgot by the time it was out of theaters, and after that the cat was out of the bag on straight-to-streaming.
the only kids movie i've watched in recent years is lego batman
it was me and 2 other adult men in the theatres.
i'm sitting there and a boomer and his two daughters come up and the dad says i'm in his seat - mind you, it's been about an hour into the movie. he says he's gonna go talk to the manager, i say "do it."
he came back and apologized but still fricking hell how moronic can you be
Monkey Man. I had been going places alone to help me get my confidence and self-esteem back after getting cucked by my only gf ever and even though the movie kind of sucked, it got me into training martial arts
If you're the guy who took this photo, do you tank the cringe and sit down and watch the movie or do you flee? Personally, I'd be Naruto running out of there
I went to the Kstew Charlie’s Angels in the middle of the afternoon and I was the only person in the theater. I started jerking off during her tiny shorts scene using my chapstick as lube and I edged through the movie and coomed on the floor at the end. I hope a wagie slipped in my DNA and conked their bonkers
What is your recourse if you're the guy sitting alone? On the one hand, it's a public space and taking photos of people is not against the law. On the other hand this guy has no reason to take your photo in this setting.
I avoid conflict but I think here I'd have to get up and make him delete the photo
I would punk his b***h ass out of the theater. He probably would have already been scared when the flash revealed me, a giant, blue collar moron with a homeless person beard.
furiosa
there were like 4 other people in the theatre
and i saw DUNC 2 in that same theatre and again, the theatre was pratically empty. weeknight movie watcher chads rise up
I saw Contagion, the first showing that this particular theater at like 10AM. I had some free time during exams so I stepped out to the kino depot. There was literally no one else there
I went and saw Run Lola Run yesterday at theaters (for it's 25th anniversary) because I am trying to get into more serious and foreign films. It was literally me and 3 other single white dudes in the theater who all showed up by themselves. I guess it is only single white dudes that watch these sort of films anymore. No distractions or anything like that though, which is nice.
Aggro Dr1ft. There were some zoomers in groups of 3 to 5, maybe 12 or 13 in all and they were laughing a lot at the voice-over and the women twerking at the camera and it was making me laugh.
Oppenheimer
The Northman (thought it sucked)
wrong because it was awesome
It was awesome as

You suck at rating movies and I hope you stop shitting your gay, unsolicited opinion online.

Is In a Violent Nature worth seeing? I see it get compared to Alan Clarke and he's one of my favorite directors.

one of the few movies I enjoyed so much upon release that I saw it twice in theatres
Same, I went again the next day to see it with my group of friends.
Fight Club
I watch all the movies alone can't stand people trying to talk to me during a film
Furiosa. I actually hate people in cinemas so if I go it's always on the last day when there aren't many goers

Monkey Man. I had been going places alone to help me get my confidence and self-esteem back after getting cucked by my only gf ever and even though the movie kind of sucked, it got me into training martial arts
I'm not sure I've ever went to watch a movie at the theater alone, but I also haven't been to a movie theater since I think 2010
loser
?

Don't tell me this is how Cinemaphile looks like IRL

Jim Henson documentary on Disney+.
They prop him up, but refuse to do anything meaningful to the property.
Disney is the great Satan.

there were like 4 other people in the theatre

Anyone who records someone else without their permission should be killed.

Furiosa, we were 3 in the theater, it was release night too
Furiosa. Also, I saw two females watching the movie alone.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Phantom menace when it was back in theaters a few weeks ago

Top Gun Maverick.
The Halloween reboot. Also the last film I saw in theaters, or paid for in any way.
