I had a mostly OK time with it. I started watching, almost stopped, and then got convinced to give it time to mature when they went full "kaneda cat mutation" in something like episode five. I felt the final arc sucked though, "we redeemed the thousand-year imperator in one day" was enough I didn't bother with the follow on show.
