Batman Begins puts me to sleep without fail.
Dark Night was grossly overrated largely due to Ledgers death.
Dark Knight Rises was truly awful because I saw it well after the shitstorm of memes.
So nothing. Nothing went right. The entire trilogy, as far as I am concerned, is a complete fricking train wreck.
the dark knight is seen as one of the best super hero movies for many reasons and it was very entertaining, especially during first watch. batman begins is almost perfect aside from the combat and the costume/voice.
it wasn't a train wreck at all. overrated yeah but it's good
>Nothing went right. The entire trilogy, as far as I am concerned, is a complete fricking train wreck.
Lel Matt Reeves is that you? Nobody like The Batman bro. It's cringe
>Dark Night was grossly overrated largely due to Ledgers death.
People like to say this cause they weren’t there and don’t remember. The hype for The Dark Knight was so fricking huge long before Ledger died. When he died it was a shock, but the movie would have done just as well without it. The only difference his death made is the fact that he’s not in the sequel.
These zoomers have no memory of that time, probably weren't even alive, so they have no idea of the true impact of that film. The Batman came and went with zero cultural impact in comparison. Even The Dark Knight Rises' hype was insane and and people talked about the political themes. There's nothing to discuss in The Batman. It's a cringy pastiche of Se7en and The Dark Knight, with nothing original to say.
Same. I left the theater after a little over an hour into the film. It was unbearably embarrassing as a huge Batman fan watching it with the few people that were there. The audience was visibly cringing at the Riddler's tryhard edgy sadism and autistic mannerisms. I've only been able to watch bits and pieces on YouTube of the last two hours, and it looks like it only gets worse.

Interesting.
My theater was pretty thrilled.
I still remember the gasps during that Arkham scene.

I wish I could find the review of The Batman where it said "This Batman loving audience laughed", regarding the final Arkham reveal of Joker. There were awkward giggles and gasps in the audience at my showing during the rat trap scene. The voice Dano did for the role was beyond cringe.
It was willingly to sincerely embrace taking itself seriously instead of hiding behind irony and campiness. And it had enough skill and gravitas to pull it off.
Rises was soured for me when Dolan redid the Bane voice after critique from the early crowd. But what's extra moronic was that the title, TDKR, was a reddit invention. It was often posted as a concept titlle by homosexual fans before it got the official announcement.
The main poster was also low effort as frick. They were used or unused assets from the previous films bashed together.
My ranking >The Dark Knight >Batman Begins >The Dark Knight >Batman Returns >The Dark Knight Rises >Batman 1989 >Batman Forever >Batman & Robin >Batman v Superman
I maintain that The Dark Knight Rises is a masterpiece and that the numerous criticisms range from needless nitpicking of minor details to full blown pants on head moronation. The Dark Knight is still better, but yeah.

He asked what went right with the movies, not your filthy uneventful life story you worthless homosexual.

Kek. Matt Reeves looks like such a gay redditor.
NTA but the seething here is wild.
The Batman was unironically a cut above any of Nolan's offerings.
Lol moron
the Descent?
This was genuinely like two autistic kids trying to reenact The Dark Knight. It was so fricking bad and cringe.
Damn that scene is kino.

Lmao bro keeps talking about The Batman being forgotten while continuing to remember it.
The Batman (2022) was so bad that I didnt even finish watching it. But hey, if you assure me that it's good then I'll try it again
I think it's one of the best comic book films ever made.
But you might just not like it.

insufferably contrarian
Great Villains
>What if Batman was just some generic action movie!
It was willingly to sincerely embrace taking itself seriously instead of hiding behind irony and campiness. And it had enough skill and gravitas to pull it off.
A big guy.
Nolan knew next to nothing about how to properly adapt the character.
I've been a fan of the comics since I was a kid and he adapted the character better than anyone else has by quite a wide margin.
Begins>

I wonder what the third movie would've looked like if heat legend hadn't died
>What went so right?
Nolan makes great movies
The opening of DK had me mezmerized as a ten year old. You just know every kid thought robbing a bank with a school bus was awesome
Banes clown voice and script
Joker
Simply walk up behind them and stab them in the back.
not all that much with hindsight. Nolan doesn't get it or at least think it's beneath him.
I despise them, I would rather watch Batman & Robin three times in a row
Imax cameras

I unironically prefer the first Spiderman trilogy, including 3.
That's because you're stupid
