Finales are an essential part of a show's lifecycle. RT just doesn't know when to quit, so their big budget finale that they expected was 2 years away melted away instantly.
If you want a non-shitpost answer, the entire production behind that show was completely bottlenecked by all the resource mismanagement that was going on at the time of season 2's production cycle. As RT never openly announces when they've shitcanned a show, people are likely never going to know if there's going to be a season 5 or if 4 officially killed the show. 4 was also less accessible due to them moronicly removing it from youtube and expecting people to use their shitty site to view it which will have lowered the overall coverage of the show, so it's not looking good.
I think the resource mismanagement is understated. The bullshit the former head of RT's animation department did to try and prop up Gen: Lock was crippling.
The entirety of RT is crumbling into irrelevancy on mismanagement atm. It's depressing to see it given the potential their major IPs had. Camp Camp was a huge one given the easy format and they just burnt it to the ground with little reason.
I think the director was inspired by a season finale of bojack and how a cartoon didn't have to keep amping things up to the finale.
Besides they finished everything they needed to say. I want to say season 4 works better as a next summer rather than a endoess phineas and ferb summer.
Parents day also works as a good finale, if you look at it like the parents picking up the kids, Max's parents didn't come pick him up. Really the clux of his character, his parents don't care and abandoned him.
Personally I think Max parents are better off in our heads. That however bad you personally think they are is how they are, that if you show them they won't live up to what you imagined.
Also I'd like to see Nikki Dad and Niel mom. In the beginning Nikki talked a lot about her dad, also Neil clearly more into his mom, and in the egg sitting episode I think it's implied his mom is extremely overbearing.
Why did season 4 even have to be 18 episodes as opposed to the standard 12? Was the piss episode THAT necessary to include without scrapping the others?
The show was very 5/10. It wasn't as garbage as RoosterTeeth's other shows, but it was a boring as shit show that made even South Park's early seasons look more inventive and funnier. And for fricks sake each episode is only 10 minutes long.
Probably the Jasper episode of Spooky island. It's fun to watch Nikki tease Max then immediately get scared herself, only for the twist to gross out everybody.
I can see Max as a starkiller type character (frick off inquisitors) with Neil as his pilot.
During a mission to kill the last known location of an escape Padawan they tun into Nikki who's completely feral and been living with ewoks for 2 years. They decide to take Nikki with them slowly learn she is force sensitive and try to hide her.
Quartermaster is dark vader and Cameron Campbell is darth sidious (but still look and act how they are on the show.
Now on the run, they find a group of rebels lead by David (an ex padawan who's still upbeat) and Gwen a smugglet who uses David force power for her own advantage. The rebel base consist of the the rest of the campers
The flower and wood scouts are stormtroopers, the woods act more typical of storm troopers failing than the flower scouts.

This is amazing, I can see it. Camp Camp would work surprisingly well for a couple different crossover. Which would you like to see?
You got too used to "finales".

Wait, there's a season 4?
Yes and it's very bad
Yes and it's okay.
Still waiting for season 5.
Because it was canned before any sort of emotional resolution could be made. It was for the best since it was running out of steam by then.
The love died.

Not a big loss, this season sucked
Fair, but I'd have still argued that more people would have sucked it up if it was on the same platform. It was probably killed on purpose.

Hopefully it changes owners and the new people give it the love it deserves.
Fingers crossed, though I don't see much worth salvaging at this point other than the brand name.

I expected Max's parents to be revealed in the S4 finale
Again that's why I like parents day.

Also camper that isn't from Camp Campbell like flower or wood scouts.
Extra space going to kill you?
Why did season 4 even have to be 18 episodes as opposed to the standard 12? Was the piss episode THAT necessary to include without scrapping the others?
I like episode that Max has to reveal personal stuff, like how he can't swim. But yeah I see your point
Also flower scout should have gotten a spin off.
The show was very 5/10. It wasn't as garbage as RoosterTeeth's other shows, but it was a boring as shit show that made even South Park's early seasons look more inventive and funnier. And for fricks sake each episode is only 10 minutes long.
I love Camp Camp, and every camper within it.
Favorite episode?
Probably the Jasper episode of Spooky island. It's fun to watch Nikki tease Max then immediately get scared herself, only for the twist to gross out everybody.
That's a great one!
I really like Eggs Benefits, it's fun to watch the campers really make a mess of things.
Lol so many layers in that joke
Also it would be fun to think pf Nikki and Max as Padawans
Max would definitely end up becoming a Sith. Nikki would somehow be adopted by Ewoks.
I can see Max as a starkiller type character (frick off inquisitors) with Neil as his pilot.

Are those two fricking yet?
