The original Willow was classic 80s dark fantasy. A little too evil and scary for kids, it had some humor and romance but played it pretty straight. The magic wasn’t a joke. Evil wasn’t a joke.
The series wanted a kid/teen audience and to be hip. So you get a bunch of CW drama bullshit and cringe millennial humor. The evil isn’t evil or scary anymore.
I think some of the effects were alright. It’s the writing and cringe characters that sink it.
Compare with Dark Crystal from Netflix and it looks like a fricking miracle they captured that sense of creepy fantasy in a modern show. Glad it died only so I don’t have to see it ruined.

It was a thoughtless impulse, one already forgotten. The one and only reason nobody had ended his pitiful peck life earlier was because nobody else could be bothered. He wasn't even worth the time to put any conscious thought into killing. With that realization, Willow Ufgood releases his bowels (a runny peck poop, as pecks lack the intestinal length to properly process food) and dies. Nobody bothers burying him.
