Simply put? The studios forgot about breasts and ass. Did I gave a shit about the first Captain America movie? Not really except for peggy's huge milkers. Did I gave a shit or knew who Shang Chi was? NO! But once his hot as shit asian sister appeared I watched that whole shit (kino fight scenes, ending went full naruto).
Did I gave 2 flying fricks about about Captain Marvel as a character ?? NEVER but guess what? I rubbed my bulge the whole fricking movie imagining sucking on those breasts.

My point is that they need to stop with the average looking Black person and latino women and bring back the milk trucks. Why do you think that Jurassic Park world trash is popular?!?!? Because of the queen mommy!!!

Marvel better snap out of their homosexual nap if they want to stay in the game.

Oversaturation, anon. These films get slapped together with high budgets and all-star casts. Much like the zombie craze a few years ago. Hollywood, being the capitalists they are, milked it for everything they could as quickly as they could just for the cash. I'm kinda glad it's happening. I had high hopes back in 01-02 when Spider-Man was released and was disappointed. Surprised it lasted this long.

Same thing that happened with the Marvel COMICS, and the same thing that constantly happens with DC. These companies have massive rosters of characters, but in reality, the mainstream public only care about a small handful of those characters. Marvel just made the mistake of writing out or killing off most of the characters that normies care about and are left scraping the bottom of the barrel with characters like "Ms. Marvel" and "Shang Chi" that most people don't give a frick about. This shit almost bankrupted Marvel once when they were pushing comics for characters that nobody cared about. It's astounding to me that they still haven't learned their lesson.

They told a story with 11 years of build up. After Infinity War it doesn't feel like anything is at stake anymore. The stakes will never feel higher and they legitimately just solved everything with time travel in the end. To boot the characters most people became invested in are now either dead, absent or have been turned into jokes and replaced by woke caricatures.
They legitimately should have retired the franchise for five years before the next phase but try and tell investors that.

Simple take: saturation, yet this was more true during the peak of the MCU than it is now. People even trotted out this reason to explain Star Wars having its first flop with Solo, even as Marvel Studios was releasing up to three films a year without slowdown, just the occasional commercial dud.

Real reason: the reception to Guardians of The Galaxy was very unexpected. What did Marvel learn from it? To take more gambles on new directions? No, they learned that Whedon quip-fests were not quippy enough and they had to escalate to out-doing James Gunn. After that, the only good MCU films were the Russo brothers ones(Captain America, post-Ultron Avengers). Their Spider-Man films have aged poorly as they are so dependent on Gen Z-specific relatability for the character rather than the timeless relatable aspect of Peter Parker: that he is supposed to be poor and struggling. The people who write for Disney can't at all relate to that though. What saves them is what you notice about all the good MCU films after stage 2: the good ones all have Robert Downey jnr. It's not necessarily him, but his presence that means every other character has to be written and performed up to a certain standard or they will be upstaged by him(look at how much better T'Challa is written and has presence in Civil War with much less screen-time than in his own film). The worthless writers Disney hired must have been so relieved when Stark died. They kept doubling-down on the 'Marvel humor' as it came to be called, even as James Gunn toned it down in the Guardians sequel and put more emphasis on the emotional story and characterisation.

It's just shit writing and like Game of Thrones, they have run out of good source material to adapt and are now left with the dreck that led to Marvel Comics sales going down the toilet, and yet they still think that's a good direction to take.
