I live in Israel and it isn't even being shown here. The theater switched to just showing the original Toy Story (perhaps not fully legally). They don't wanna piss off the orthodox israelites.

Yeah, always was really. they want to subjugate goyim but they all want to be the ones reaping in the benefits. Look up Trump and chabad-lubavitz connections for instance.

Make no mistake, whoever wins we lose. There is no such thing as a good israelite

Yes and it's always been like this. There are two major factions of israelites, these factions are the right-wing israelites and the left-wing israelites. Both the left-wing israelites and the right-wing israelites have the same ultimate goal - to establish a single planetary government ruled only by them with all private property abolished and even the children of the goyim will be the the property of this single planetary government (except the israelites will be allowed to own private property and their children, of course) and all of the fundamental human rights of the goyim will be revoked. This single planetary government will have a world bank, a world currency (completely electronic, of course - they want a cashless currency), a world army (to fight against the goyim, if the need ever arises) and everyone except the israelites will be microchipped from birth, which will allow the israelites to control everything the goyim say, think and do from a distance. If the right-wing israelites win, they will establish a fascist planetary government (but it won't be the Nazi variety of fascism, it will be israeli fascism). If the left-wing israelites win, they will establish a communist planetary government. Neither of those factions of israelites should ever be allowed to win.

This. He’s a character from Toy Story who derives his value from his interactions with other characters. That’s not enough to throw him into the lead role in a major film release.

Until very recently, the Pixar brand alone was enough to warrant success. If in addition to that you throw in a familiar character from a beloved and very profitable franchise, you would have to be an incompetent hack to not make bank under such favourable conditions.
All they had to do was to deliver a straightforward space adventure starring a hero doing heroic things, but noooo

Banned in several countries and culturally blacklisted in others for same sex kiss. Released on streaming and theaters on a theater run budget even though streaming makes less than ticket sales. Released at a competitive time for any tickets vs. Top Gun and Jurassic World. Based on a concept nobody but the tiniest of kids would want(they'll also watch anything). Kids are not a profitable film market unless you get lucky in drawing in parents and family, which this didn't.

A chinesium resort aimed at influencers. The pool at the bottom of the slide is supposed to be basically a big heated bubble bath. But, rather then using nitrogen to cause all of the bubbling, some chink hooked up a propane tank.
Basically the video is the result of the low education, general job apathy and aggressive cost/corner cutting measures typical of non-coastal China.

China is essentially a health and safety cuck's wet dream. Even if you lock out a switch so someone doesn't turn on the nasty mincing machine while you're inside working on it, another chink will just come along and rewire the panel to get it working again because production output is down 2% and his supervisor didn't mention that this machine is having maintenance work done on it.

You have to remember this is the same nation that killed millions with famine after the man in charge had the bright idea to eradicate sparrows because they ate a bit of grain, and then all the insects that would've been eaten by the sparrows ballooned and destroyed 100x as much produce.

I think people noped out after they saw black people in the trailer. I don't know what it was, but something finally woke up the general audience to propaganda we've had shoved down our throats for these long years. I don't know if it was black people burning down half the country in 2020, the constant streaming of black propaganda on TV, or Will Smith exposing himself. Whatever it is, the tide is finally turning. Same goes for the gay/transgender propaganda.

The tide is turning but not because of black people in movies like you say. No one gives a shit about that. Black Panther was a huge success. It's why Top Gun is so successful. It's the first movie in a long while that doesn't cater to diversity or woke political agenda. A breath of fresh air and how movies should be.

Disney, on the other hand, keeps going full woke. Star Wars is full of female protagonists now and it's always the same type of female protagonist.
MCU is getting the same treatment. They want you excited for phase 4 or whatever phase it is these days. What new heroes have they introduced or are they focusing on? Ms Marvel, Wanda, She-Hulk, female Thor, female Hawkeye, Black Widow got a movie, Black Widow's sister introduced, female Loki, Monica Rambeau. The only new male superhero I can think of is Moonknight and even he got accompanied by the birth of a female superhero.

I mean, maybe I'm wrong, and I'm forgetting some new male superheroes here. I'd love to know which ones then.

They then spent an undisclosed sum, historically almost certainly a larger sum, marketing the film. All up the investment in this joyless propaganda aimed at kids was probably around half a billion.

It's made 20 mill off a 200 mill budget. That's insane, I will wait to torrent it to give my thoughts on it but so far it seems that their pandering to the woke pedos (as they did with Turning Red) will see them financially flop badly, hopefully they will learn their lesson from this loss of money and just go back to making pretty good kids films.

Just a guess, but I don't think it's about the money anymore. They're bleeding cash on all fronts but they keep pushing the woke stuff, so it might be more about the agenda.

things are changing, don't bank on the current economic model of endless cash to last. they care about their own preservation more than any ideology.

Imagine it's 1995, and a 10yo kid just watched a movie about a space ranger. What do you think it'd look like? A flashy, campy cartoon or a bleak nolan-esque existential drama?

They aren't. Twitter isn't a good representation of the modern world cause it's an echo chamber that few people are incredibly vocal on. I saw a statistic that said less than 10% of all Twitter users make up 90% of all Twitter posts. Go outside in the real world and sjws aren't the common. The few that do exist are just obnoxiously vocal making them appear more prevalent than they are.

Indeed. Should have thought twice before sending her down the stream.

Sabotage. Asians are basically white in the woke hierarchy. Not black enough.

But don't you worry, our Meimei will see her day yet, one way or another...

What did Disney mean by this?

                Anonymous

Again, deliberate sabotage. I'm fricking telling you, man, Turning Red is a modern version of the Treasure Planet fiasco back during the renaissance days. Totally fricked up. Whoever was in control (not in charge) really didn't want this movie to succeed, yet despite all of Disney's efforts to hamper it, it still received a wide audience accolade, with a couple controversies.

I hope Mei gets the justice she deserves. Frick Lightyear.

Get woke, go broke. Any other explanations are pure cope. Parents do NOT want their children exposed to this filth. The ones that do are a tiny minority. The vast majority experience involuntary disgust response and reactionary ideology.

Why would the mods set this thread to autosage when it's already close to bump limit? What the frick is wrong with them? Are they stupid or something?

Probably because box office numbers are not Television & Flim and people who discuss them have contempt for art.

Lesbians aren't hot. Hot girls are hot. You won't catch the male audience with ugly dykes and you damn sure won't catch it by making the titular hero some weaksauce homosexual who fails mission after mission instead of being something to aspire to which every man should want a boy to look at a fricking astronaut as.
