Why would I do that if this is the first time I've posted this? 😉
I actually liked the first version you posted more, because I think Toy Story 3 was bad enough to be an indicator of the direction the studio was going. That final scene inside the trash compactor (or whatever it was) was too tonally dissonant from the rest of the picture for me, and Lotso was just a retread of Stinky Pete.
And despite Cars being a Doc Hollywood ripoff, it's still an enjoyable movie, much more than either of its sequels.
If I cared enough, I'd make my own version of this with Toy Story 1 and Bug's Life on their own row and call it "The Formative Years", because it'd really outline how every new iteration of Toy Story preceded a different era of the studio.
Everyone shits on me but I agree. The “burn to death melodrama” was nothing more than try hard fan service for all the man kids who were watching a kids movie as adults
They went from non-stop, imaginative hits, to soulless disney B movie type plots. >mermaid boy? >black guy heaven? >red panda grows up?
like what the frick. Toy Story 4 was pretty good, they definitely shoulda ended it there. Kids now didn't grow up with Toy Story, and nobody fricking cared what a literal toys backstory is
>Talking cars? >Talking bugs? >Talking fish? >Talking toys? >Talking rat? >Talking robot? >Talking dog? >Talking monsters? >Talking white family?
Yea seems cool >Blue magic guys? >Dead black guy jazz? >Fish Human? >Panda girl period? >Talking toy but just one talking toy?
Not so cool
Shafferillas productions videos caused Pixar to unravel themselves.
I thought SOUL was on par with their earlier movies but something felt off about it. It’s probably because there was nothing iconic in it, it’s just a simple story
Up and Toy Story 3 are garbage with "OMG ALL THE FEELS" scenes for the manchildren. These two movies lead yo modern Pixar which is just "write a dumb movie with a scene that will make reviewers cry".
Cars 2 in comparison is a fun European espionage thriller that doesn't try to make you cry about Larry the Cable Guy's tragic backstory
This. I've never watched Toy Story 3 (barely liked the first two as a child) and UP always seemed overrated, bland and moledramatic. It's imaginative bits are a weird addition to a world that doesn't seem consistent with it's own rules... Just a magic sad baloon guy and fat derpy xd child. The dog was whatever as well.
Steve Jobs died, unironically that as the nail in the coffin. People act like he had nothing to do with Toy Story but that guy was a fricking perfectionist and definitely pulled all the strings on that movie, watch dailies, etc. It was one of his babies, and he literally turned Pixar into what it was. All it did before he bought it was manufacture computers.
I think it's an okay but boring movie and pretty on brand for a Pixar story, but it really set off the stupid fricking "character... TRANSFORMS!?" Pixar trend
I don't remember Cars or Up being anything more than mediocre but at least I can remember what happened in Cars and most of the characters. I don't remember fricking anything from Up beyond the opening scene and there being talking dogs in it for some dumb reason.
Luca was pretty good and wholesome but what the frick did you see in Turning Red? Onward would have been good if they didn't try to jam in the completely unnecessary mom sub plot.
>What went wrong?
Do I have to post it again? We've been through this: >bought out by Disney circa 2006 >Cars 2 was their first critical dud >WALL·E was their last ounce of soul >Brave was mediocre >Monsters University just exists >Inside Out was a rip off of other properties >The Good Dinosaur was completely forgettable >Finding Dory has a lesbian couple (the start of Pixar's woke push) + it's just a lazy retread of Finding Nemo >Cars 3....happened >Lasseter got MeToo'd + fired, replaced by CalArts feminists >many Pixar veterans, including Brad Bird, left the studio for Skydance Animation >The Incredibles 2 was a disappointment & not worth the 14 year wait >Toy Story 4 systematically destroyed the cast + made Toy Story 3's ending worthless >Onward got pushed to Disney+ & forgotten >Soul was woke pandering with an ugly art style >Luca was infected with CalArts >Turning Red is pedo pandering + ugly CalArts shit everywhere + pushed to Disney+ >director of Turning Red got promoted to leadership position >Lightyear flopped
They're going to die, and this was Disney's plan from the get go; to assimilate Pixar into Disney Animation completely. This recent push for more wokeness, cancelling theater releases in favor of bolstering their streaming service, and the box office bomb of Lightyear all point to deliberate sabotage. We'll see this studio shut down in our lifetimes.
Female director for Brave, this demoralized all future male pixar directors.
Cars probably also had an effect, showing them they don't need to put in effort to make billions.
It's almost as if replacing the old guard at the helm of the studio with third wave feminists fresh out of liberal arts college is what caused this death spiral or something...
>God tier:

>I've only seen Cars 3
If this isn't bait, then yeah. Pretty much everything in the first row of OP's chart is better than Cars 3, including the first Cars.
Didn't see anything else from those two later tiers, never even heard of most of the movies on there (including or especially the sequels on there lol).
lmao @ the troony who defends toy story 3 as part of the Golden age, even UP is debatable but toystory 3 was pure garbage and literally the beginning of the end. Grow up man child troon
It feels like they completely memed themselves past a certain point. Their early movies were all about very simple premises like "toys" or "bugs", then they made a string of surprisingly emotional movies from Wall.E through TS3, and now it feels like they're just chasing their own tails, trying to live up to this idea of being a studio that makes "meaningful" movies, and it all feels fake as frick. >dude, what if we called it... Soul...
Frick off.
probably the same as 10 last times you posted this shit
This is the first time I've posted this shit 😉
get some new content

>posting the wrong version
What, there's an even earlier one than this?
I honestly really liked toy story 3 and found it a nice way to end the franchise so I prefer the new chart he made
Cars was good and sovl. I liekd it as much as any other golden pixar film when it came out. I never got the hate.
Everyone shits on me but I agree. The “burn to death melodrama” was nothing more than try hard fan service for all the man kids who were watching a kids movie as adults
>buzzword buzzword buzzword
Which words?
Thanks for responding to my post btw 🙂
Thanks for responding to my post btw 🙂
Cheers friend 🙂
yeah, i agree with you but maybe people shit on you for using so many buzzwords.
They went from non-stop, imaginative hits, to soulless disney B movie type plots.

that shit sucked ass. I hated 4
They made a Toy Story 4?
yeah. it wasn't that bad. definitely better than other stuff in the same tier
>it wasn't that bad
It rendered the ending of TS3 pointless + it systematically destroyed the characters. It wasn't just bad, it was horrendous.
TS3 rendered the ending of TS2 pointless + it systematically destroyed the characters. It wasn't just bad, it was horrendous.
trump won and everybody lost their mind
It's surreal to think that those later flicks are supposed to be competition with the older ones.
someone please make one of disney and dreamworks aswell.
Someone post the pixar lamp girl bouncing
Shafferillas productions videos caused Pixar to unravel themselves.
I thought SOUL was on par with their earlier movies but something felt off about it. It’s probably because there was nothing iconic in it, it’s just a simple story
>putting Up and Toy Story 3 in the Golden Age
Stop coping and learn to accept that those two movies were the huge turn into modern Pixar shit.
No that was Cars 2.
Up and Toy Story 3 are garbage with "OMG ALL THE FEELS" scenes for the manchildren. These two movies lead yo modern Pixar which is just "write a dumb movie with a scene that will make reviewers cry".
Cars 2 in comparison is a fun European espionage thriller that doesn't try to make you cry about Larry the Cable Guy's tragic backstory
>movie has emotional moments
>"OMG ALL THE FEELS"
Pathetic. Cars 2 is shit.
Yes. Just like Up and Toy Story 3, the decline.
No, they were the end of the Golden Age. Try to keep up.
Here's your Golden Age Pixar movie bro
haha way to go moron, you posted the wrong thing
You fricked up worse than Pixar did when they ended the Golden Age by releasing Cars 2.
You cried at a kids movie about toys
You should stop posting anon, it's getting embarrassing.
HERE'S your Golden Age Pixar movie
Up was the best pixar movie to date. Cope.
coco is a good movie
Yeah Coco should at least be the end of the "decline" since Incredibles 2 is a walking corpse of a movie.
I like monsters University
havent watched a single pixar film past toy story 3
Lasseter was broken down and de-platformed. No longer dictator, more yes man and sycophant.
Doesn't he have a new animation studio now?
ask lasseter
>Cars 2 sucked but this new film will surely be an epic, adventurous return to form!
I think it's an okay but boring movie and pretty on brand for a Pixar story, but it really set off the stupid fricking "character... TRANSFORMS!?" Pixar trend
It was still very disappointing for me. I really thought it would be some fantasy epic.
Yeah a Scottish movie with bears and a bow weilding heroine that takes place 80% inside a castle
Decomposing Corpse > Decline
Whoever made this wasn't as clever as they thought.
>What went wrong?
Anonymous board = ritual threads
Toy Story 3 should be in The Decline. It was pretty clearly a suit-dictated sequel
>Golden Age
Disney employing Pixar
>The Decline
Disney copying Pixar
>The Corpse
Disney replacing Pixar
If you think cars is skippable but toy story 3 and up are great you're a homosexual
No, just a man of taste.
I don't remember Cars or Up being anything more than mediocre but at least I can remember what happened in Cars and most of the characters. I don't remember fricking anything from Up beyond the opening scene and there being talking dogs in it for some dumb reason.
Disney used Pixar up and has been killing it off by making them do Illumination tier movies while Disney itself does the Pixar tier movies now
HOT TAKE:
Cars was a great movie
T3 belongs in the Decline
Soul wasn't half bad
HOT TAKE:
Toy Story 4 is a better film than Toy Story 3
I mean, we can all spout asinine bullshit.
THE SKY IS GREEN!!
See?
HOT TAKE:
Except for Lightyear, Pixar is still good and only nostalgiagays say otherwise. Onward, Soul, Luca and Turning Red were all great.
>Pixar is still great
>Incredibles 2 exists
Luca was pretty good and wholesome but what the frick did you see in Turning Red? Onward would have been good if they didn't try to jam in the completely unnecessary mom sub plot.
Onward was a 10/10 film about how single mothers arent adequate to raise boys lmao.
Toy Story 4s theme was strong independent women need to get with a man.
Pixar is based as frick.
Inside Out is about how women have artificial emotions
>le... le Cinemaphile thing le based
You need to go back
I liked Brave. There were no orcs in it.
The golden age ends with WALL-E
Fricking this
Dubs confirm also Ratatouille is the greatest Pixar film
Luca was heartfelt, comfy and good, expecially thanks to Luca and Berto
Luca was kino. Totally on par with their classics. And don't worry /tvpol/, there was absolutely nothing gay about it.
>Le Calarts face
Based
>t. triggered Cinemaphilegay
/co/gay spotted at 6:00, initiate poisonous gas
Cope and seethe
Too many words. The original line from that film is pretty short and succinct.
It's an objectively shit and low effort artstyle
If you say so.
Both modern anime and Calarts have a bland and repetitive artstyle.
I personally am against any Pixar movie about human characters (including Incredibles), but Luca at least looks more soulful than Soul.
soul was a good movie
>golden age
toy story - wall-e
>silver age
up - inside out
>bronze age
good dinosaur - incredibles 2
>shit age
Onward - present
Ratatouille is the best one.
>inb4 zucchini
>What went wrong?
Do I have to post it again? We've been through this:
>bought out by Disney circa 2006
>Cars 2 was their first critical dud
>WALL·E was their last ounce of soul
>Brave was mediocre
>Monsters University just exists
>Inside Out was a rip off of other properties
>The Good Dinosaur was completely forgettable
>Finding Dory has a lesbian couple (the start of Pixar's woke push) + it's just a lazy retread of Finding Nemo
>Cars 3....happened
>Lasseter got MeToo'd + fired, replaced by CalArts feminists
>many Pixar veterans, including Brad Bird, left the studio for Skydance Animation
>The Incredibles 2 was a disappointment & not worth the 14 year wait
>Toy Story 4 systematically destroyed the cast + made Toy Story 3's ending worthless
>Onward got pushed to Disney+ & forgotten
>Soul was woke pandering with an ugly art style
>Luca was infected with CalArts
>Turning Red is pedo pandering + ugly CalArts shit everywhere + pushed to Disney+
>director of Turning Red got promoted to leadership position
>Lightyear flopped
They're going to die, and this was Disney's plan from the get go; to assimilate Pixar into Disney Animation completely. This recent push for more wokeness, cancelling theater releases in favor of bolstering their streaming service, and the box office bomb of Lightyear all point to deliberate sabotage. We'll see this studio shut down in our lifetimes.
Why does everyone hate Cars? It's essential portable DVD player proto zoomer kino.
People "hate" it because it was their weakest movie to date at the time, and a world full of cars is "dumb" or something.
Female director for Brave, this demoralized all future male pixar directors.
Cars probably also had an effect, showing them they don't need to put in effort to make billions.
Cars had a lot of effort put into it. Best looking CG animation film ever at the time. It was a big improvement from Incredibles visually
To be fair Luca was under rated kino with a good wholesome moral message.
>implying Toy Story 3 was good
Film tried way too hard to be sad.
It's almost as if replacing the old guard at the helm of the studio with third wave feminists fresh out of liberal arts college is what caused this death spiral or something...
The decline started already with Brave (or Cars 2). There's nothing worse about current era compared to the last one.
let a few of them in, and they throw the gates wide for the rest of them. a trickle becomes a deluge and a deluge leaves behind a wasteland.
Incredibles was the peak. Much more emotional than Up overall. Pretty dark for a kid's film, too.

>I've only seen Cars 3
If this isn't bait, then yeah. Pretty much everything in the first row of OP's chart is better than Cars 3, including the first Cars.
wall-e is kino
incredibles is kino
A better image would be to cut TS3 in half and have it split across
I actually liked Soul and Inside Out.
Grow up man child troon
dude, just because it's a bad movie doesn't make its defenders troons. fricking rent free.
>mindbroken
God DAMN it feels good to have perfect taste and see that the Golden Age ended with TS3.
honestly, you can see the golden age end DURING the movie itself.
i'm sure if i cared enough, i could even narrow it down to a timestamp.
Sure, at the end of the credits.
onward and cars 3 were okay.
Luca and onward are good
How come the decomposing corpse has more good movies than the decline?
Don't make much sense if you ask me.
These are movies for kids...
Kids now are just addicted to short things on youtube, tiktok and israeli videogames
Only moronic adults watch this garbage. Or women. Or kids.
All those are shit
Yeah, and only moronic adults post on Cinemaphile.
Ratatouille had unpolished writing and pacing. Brad Bird only worked on it for less than 2 years
And somehow it is better than anything Pixar has put out in the past decade.
i liked Inside Out better. It has more warmth
Ratatouille is tepid, leaden and didactic
i also own a thesaurus
What are you, Armond White?
nah, just not a mindless sheep who calls any film a masterpiece because of the last 15 mins
Ratatouille is kino throughout.
As soon as they started doing sequels and too many human character films it started to fall apart.
toy story 4 and luca are better than most things in decline
soul is golden-age tier
>Antz, Shrek, Shark Tale, Madagascar
early Dreamworks/PDI films had more personality than a lot of Pixar films
Shark Tale is so good and so misunderstood
are really cool guys invite them to your country
but the movie is set in Mexico, moron.
Kids today still watch the golden age movies. Nobody will remember anything Pixar made in the past decade
Toy Story 3 was already shit
It feels like they completely memed themselves past a certain point. Their early movies were all about very simple premises like "toys" or "bugs", then they made a string of surprisingly emotional movies from Wall.E through TS3, and now it feels like they're just chasing their own tails, trying to live up to this idea of being a studio that makes "meaningful" movies, and it all feels fake as frick.
>dude, what if we called it... Soul...
Frick off.
Cars 1 is fun
Audiences don't want to see ugly minorities
Coco was good.
