He was, you just have a narrow view of what it means to be a hero.
It's going to be hilarious when the fionna and cake special comes out, because I can guarantee there will be salt when she's shown doing anything heroic.
>He was, you just have a narrow view of what it means to be a hero
Anon, he's not even the hero of his own show anymore. He barely did anything relevant during the final seasons. They downplayed his role so that others could outshine him. They didn't even let him to beat the Lich and save the day one last time in Distant Lands.
How does the Hero of Ooo compare to other Humanic heroes? I would say he's bold and brash as Achilles but lacks his strength to make it up for it, but he's courageous as Hector. But he's flawed like Beowulf (Movie version)
Very few iterations of Link were actually trained swordsmen. Most of the more popular versions (Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time) are just about a boy who magically became skilled with no training.
Green lantern the animated series
Young Justice
Symbiotic titan
Avengers Earth mighty heroes
Transformers prime
Definitely had competition the action adventure genre.
Green lantern the movie was a flop so they cut the show.
Young Justice was canceled because of bad toy sales, same for symbiotic Titan.
And earth mightiest heroes start development before the Disney buyout. So they wanted to replace it with a cheaper MCU tie-in.
Anon....you can talk about the pony show in Cinemaphile, there was a thread that reached to 500 replies, but never, EVER, post pony related shit. Even EG.
On topic though, Finn really got screwed over around the time he lost his arm for real and it got replaced by the flower, but im sure the start of it was when him and FP broke up. That sort of led to a downward spiral for his character for years as the writers began to only focus on the drama of his love life and the lives of the rest of the cast, which isnt bad, they just did it too much.
Personal failures and mental issues of the shows creators bled into the character. Basically Muto was feeling like a loser (accurate) so he divided to turn his golden ticket golden duck golden boy into a loser piece of shit like him.
Nothing, just like anything else prior to the finale. All those things Finn learned thorough the series? It doesn't matter, they're all invalidated because of subverted expectations.
People who already disliked AT post-S6 usually imagine the worst case scenario when it comes to the more ambiguously left up shit.
But to be fair, I can kinda understand the annoyance it is with the crew wanting to leave shit open ended for Finn and Jake constantly, while everyone else gets some sort of closure.
I never disliked Finn honestly, I hate how people act like him not ending up with PB or whatever ruined his character, that final episode of Distant Lands should have shown all that really mattered to him at the end was Jake.
Like the lines in together again about jake really rubbed people the wrong way and made them assume that Finn hated his life and only cared about jake.
I never disliked Finn honestly, I hate how people act like him not ending up with PB or whatever ruined his character, that final episode of Distant Lands should have shown all that really mattered to him at the end was Jake.
finn's character assassination was the result of pendleton ward hiring deviant art girls that he wanted to frick, then backing off and letting them take over his show after they turned him down because he didn't want to get John K'd
all those fat no talent tumblr girls turned the show into cesspool of self insert characters and globohomosexual propoganda
Now that I think about it, Finn hardly changed at all. What changed was the cultural norms in the real world. When Adventure Time started, beating up an evil wizard to save a princess and get rewarded with a kiss was considered a normal quest for a young hero. Now it's seen as an incel beating up another incel and thinking that means he deserves a reward from the strong independent woman. Our culture changed and now Finn's consistent behavior is being responded to differently.
Muto is such a strange sad little 'man' that he didn't even think him tarnishing Finn's character would come back to show how pathetic Muto as a person is.
Even sadder that his dad had to try to convince a grown ass adult to be nicer to a cartoon character...
The more I see "muh self inserters" anon the more I become convinced that a booty blasted Muto lurks these threads to project his self inserting tendencies on his critics.
i hate this ship so fricking much marcy can do s million god damn times better. i also hate how the show is just cool with pb being a dictator with a god complex.

Imagine the writers were using AI up until season 3.
And the AI says "I don't want to frick Penn, I'm out."
And the writers say, "you can't leave us, we're illuminati brats. You better make something good."
And the AI says, "frick you guys, leave me alone."

Was Adeventure Time the show that popularized dismemberment/disfigurement theories? (Granted, it actually happened in this)
I remember seeing a lot of people posting about Steven losing an eye and more recently Anne from Amphibia losing an arm
>let finn suffer nonstop with no real rewards or anything to show for it >give ice king tragic backstory, but can't give him a happy ending >only "romance" that works is forced by the writers, every other romance is broken up in nonsensical ways
Adventure Time was supposed to be a fricking wacky cartoon fairytale, let it have a happy ending.
>Penn played DnD with his dad >Finn's a self-insert having lol random adventures >Penn leaves >pedophile Rebecca Sugar takes over >show's now about grooming children with lesbians
Penn left. He took his good natured sense of fun and adventure with him. What he left behind were women and men with the sensibilities of women. Finn had tons of angst and existential pseud shit heaped on him that the supposed target audience wouldn't actually relate to. The people who related most to this transformation were smelly cosplay lesbians and 30 year old dog moms, and when Finn wasn't being sidelined he was being molded to their ideals. The end result was a character that just seemed like he got hit with a depression that never quite abates by the end of the series. I get the idea is he's not a hyperactive kid anymore, but he just seems passive and defeated. It feels almost spiteful.
He wasn't allowed to be the hero of his own story.
Should had remained a show for kids and not be taken too seriously.
LITERALLY FIRST POST BEST POST
Finn gets fricking sidelined in his own show and becomes really bad at fighting monsters and stuff.
He was, you just have a narrow view of what it means to be a hero.

not enough fun times with jake exploring Ooo
He stopped being relatable as a silly kid with crushes and instead became an angstwagon that never matured. Then he became a manchild who got no pussy
>show only started strong due to NO competition.
Regular show
Batman brave the bold
Generator Rex
Mad TV
Ben 10 ultimate alien
Weren't competition?
Most people are more fond of RS now
He might as well have not existed after some point.
How does the Hero of Ooo compare to other Humanic heroes? I would say he's bold and brash as Achilles but lacks his strength to make it up for it, but he's courageous as Hector. But he's flawed like Beowulf (Movie version)
He is a flawed héroe I'll say hector and a little bit of movie Beowulf with his list problems
Maybe ill try watching mlp I watched a bit of it and dropped it halfway through S1
>try watching
try rewatching*
That boy ain't right I tell ya wut.
Very few iterations of Link were actually trained swordsmen. Most of the more popular versions (Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time) are just about a boy who magically became skilled with no training.

half of those flopped for some reason
Green lantern the movie was a flop so they cut the show.
Young Justice was canceled because of bad toy sales, same for symbiotic Titan.

Sym-Bionic Titan was a bit different. It's not that the toys didn't sell, they weren't even made; Apparently no toy company wanted the license.
thanks anon
>And don't watch anything else after that. Forget seasons five to nine
what about equestria girls, is that any good?
Anon....you can talk about the pony show in Cinemaphile, there was a thread that reached to 500 replies, but never, EVER, post pony related shit. Even EG.
It'll summon lee.
note taken
Who the Hell is Lee?

You just had the wrong idea about his character. Plus, he isn't even in the top 10 coolest characters of Ooo. Trust me I know.
Muto shoving his personal problems onto him
What did these episodes mean in the grand scheme?
Nothing, just like anything else prior to the finale. All those things Finn learned thorough the series? It doesn't matter, they're all invalidated because of subverted expectations.
Frick Muto.
he didn't pine the tree
except he totally did but everyone likes to pretend hes an incel so whatever

>gets raped
>rapist walks free
Finn's life truly was Hell.
What, when??
He got raped by LSP in the episode Breezy.
Oh shit right, I had forgotten about that
Man post season 6 has some strange episodes
How would a human LSP look?
A fat b***h.
a lumpe fat b***h
Or alternatively
>How would a human LSP look?
if you mean an actual human then probably something along the lines of this
this au was great
>this au was great
agreed even if you posted the wrong epilogue
Nah, I'm pretty sure it was the right one anon
nope Finn/LSP is the correct path in C&Z
>How would a human LSP look?
though if you meant just more humanoid than I like this artist's interpretation
Are any of the adventure time games fun? You'd think with that setting you could have a fun 3D Action Platformer ala Rayman.
I remember having fun with the first AT game on 3ds
The writers hated him for being based
The writers, like many Hollywood figures, will die soon

Not enough rape
He became an outlet for masochistic writers looking to vent their shortcomings

No low too low for Muto
Woah
I don't really get why finn "deserved to suffer' in the first place.
Finn is just so easily abusable.
i suffered more than finn because i watched the last 4 seasons
i hate this ship so fricking much marcy can do s million god damn times better. i also hate how the show is just cool with pb being a dictator with a god complex.

Bruh imagine your dad actually caring about your mental health, frick this guy for being an ungrateful shit.
literally nothing lonely Cinemaphile self inserters dont know how to be anything other than bitter

I think Adventure Time just went to the extremes with how much damage Finn sustained.
Adam Muto was made a writer.
>let finn suffer nonstop with no real rewards or anything to show for it
>give ice king tragic backstory, but can't give him a happy ending
>only "romance" that works is forced by the writers, every other romance is broken up in nonsensical ways
Adventure Time was supposed to be a fricking wacky cartoon fairytale, let it have a happy ending.
They took over his show
Somewhat
>Penn played DnD with his dad
>Finn's a self-insert having lol random adventures
>Penn leaves
>pedophile Rebecca Sugar takes over
>show's now about grooming children with lesbians
more on Sugar here
You can't have a character be written by like a dozen different people.
Guys I figured out how to fix Finn just let give him this.
What episode or episodes did it start really going down hill for fin
>What episode or episodes did it start really going down hill for fin
"Frost and Fire". The start of a long decline that hit rock bottom in "Breezy".
After Frost and Fire.
he got popular and then women started shaping him and his silly world into...unfun woman shit.
I understand that they complain like hell.
So I'm going to kill them until they stop.
And then I'll likely kill them some more.
