Rey is the single greatest failure in Star Wars history. There has been plenty bad in this franchise over the years, but nothing on par with Rey. She’s the absolute nadir
all characters are plot devices you fricking moron
Rey is the single greatest failure in Star Wars history. There has been plenty bad in this franchise over the years, but nothing on par with Rey. She’s the absolute nadir
How does the image refute that, you fricking brainlet? Rey was intended to be the new face of the franchise. Kathleen Kennedy basically burned down the entire original narrative with the goal of rebuilding the entire thing around Rey. So yes, Rey getting 3% after ALL of that is a way bigger fail than some background characters getting 2%.
Jesus Christ, every thread the Sequel Apologist is easily the dumbest frick posting. Invariably, without fricking fail.
you know 1% is bigger than 0%, right? when you say "biggest failure" and then post numbers that indicate bigger failures than her, you're not doing your argument favors
As the other posts indicate, the investment in Rey was SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER than all those other characters combined. And when the return on that investment only mirrors that of 10th rate side characters then it’s a failure of gigantic proportions
This is still the standard argument put forward by Sequel Apologists. That any deviation from a bad corporate action movie means you “hate women” and are an “incel.” It’s stunning that adults operate at this level
>What would make Rey a better character?
giving her literally any kind of motivation or goal
tell me one (1) motivation she has throughout the sequels that isn't just an immediate reaction to the plot
some struggle and hardship. like she shouldnt even put up a fight against even a wounded kylo in the first movie. frick, 2 newbies didnt cut their own fricking arm off with a weightless lightsaber and went full samurai showdown against a trained sith lord. its moronic how strong she is and how perfect with no training or effort. she learned and mastered jedi mind trick after seeing it done once and resisted all mental probes and beat back kylo. thats mental and physical domination of the main villain of the first movie and set up as new darth vader. theres no coming back from that kind of premise and she just goes super saiyan in the next movie lifting mountain of rocks and everything they did to luke and so on. the problem is they cnat have a woman get beat the frick up. no one wants to see her have her arm cut off or lose her legs or get her jaw sheered off from a lightsaber in a battle she has no reason being in yet. no one wants a cyber woman protagonist. this leaves you with only a perfect protagonist that cant be harmed or lose and never struggle.
A dark side arc. She grows up in poverty treated like shit and the new republic instantly becomes corrupt like the old one which didn't care about slavery on Tatooine and sidelines the Skywalkers who are fighting a losing political battle and have virtually no influence.
The Skywalkers admit they failed and predict someone like her will arise and kickstart the process of the Sith rising all over again.
We see her journey, she did not wake up and decide to be evil, rather she is traumatized and decides upon helping the weak, she starts off fighting against thugs and criminals to defend the weak, she then climbs the ladder, leading a revolution, but slowly along the way she learns how ruthless she must be to have any success and change the world and this corrupts her.
Eventually her power rises and she now controls a ragtag military force that now controls her world. She ends slavery, however she now taxes the planet and controls everything to an insane degree, people still have little freedom and still live in poverty because everything must be sacrificed to her cause. After all they are just 1 inhabited planet out of millions, their inconvenience doesn't hold a candle to the plight and suffering of the rest of the galaxy. This sort of insane control freak ideology is the dark side manifest.
This attracts the attention of both the Sith and the Skywalkers. Kylo Ren who has jedi powers, but weaker than his illustrious family, is sent to investigate the uprising and concludes he must defeat her to prove himself. Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley, initially adversaries, develop immense sexual tension, eventually Kylo turns her to the light side. The Jedi are restored and play a more active role, Rey realizes you can't control everything while the Skywalkers realize you shouldn't give up on good causes and trying to make a difference and they finally solve the shitty government and sith problem
he shouldve been Obiwan's granddaughter and not show any kind of force power till the second movie, she would then fall to the darkside and be redeemed in the third one.
Also let years pass between movies, it was ridiculous.
>Also let years pass between movies, it was ridiculous.
How long was there between films? How long was it between Rey finding out she has force powers and killing Palpatine?
Give her an actual personality. The story can't seem to decide whether she's calm and collected or feral from her time in Jakku. A "feral" Rey would make most sense since she's an attractive female human on a desert planet where tons of beings would try to take advantage of her. There's hints of that in her writing for TFA and TLJ but it's brushed aside.
Make her Palpatine's granddaughter from the start in TFA or TLJ and explore the fallout from the galaxy and FO learning that Palpatine had a powerful Force Sensitive granddaughter.
Build up the relationship between her and Kylo more. She's calling him "Ben" when they've barely talked and she's never met Kylo before he fell.
Have her fail at shit and have actual character flaws.
It’s too late for that. She stole every artifact, every achievement, every story arc, every name, every prophecy, and every moment from other, better characters.
She’s a bland corporate facsimile. A cheap Chinese factory knock-off. A woke and insanely hollow fabrication of Luke Skywalker designed to get a certain demographic to buy more sheaves of colorful plastic. She’s absolutely nothing, and her character ruined Star Wars.
Struggling. For 2 movies Luke literally can’t seem to do anything right apart from blowing up the Death Star in ANH/rescuing Leia. The character is so frustrated by it until really the end of ESB.
At mercy of raiders until Ben comes
Gets those that raised him killed
Witnesses Ben dying and can’t stop it
Almost dies in the cold
Rebels get steam rolled at Hoth
Can’t finish his training
Isn’t strong enough to lift x wing
Fails to rescue Han
Has his forearm chopped off
They should have gone with the anti-hero route if they gonna pull the Palpatine bloodline bullshit.
We already have a trilogh for a standard hero's journey and a tragic fallen hero. Rey's storyline just try to be Luke's story but worse and have shitty "twist" that don't matter.
It'a not a fricking surprise that people care more about Kylo who took the anti-hero path
Reveal that she's reincarnated Shmi?
Daisy Ridley is so pretty
if her costume was more like the cosplay versions
anal
She should've been a Nudist
She's into shota

That sounds haaarrrrrrrrdddddd. What if we just showed her beating up on a beloved legacy character?
Basically this. Rey is not a character, she is a walking plot device at best.
Rey is the single greatest failure in Star Wars history. There has been plenty bad in this franchise over the years, but nothing on par with Rey. She’s the absolute nadir
all characters are plot devices you fricking moron
>single greatest failure
>image refutes that
No, they are not you dumb frick.

She's the main character dum dum.
that would require heart and effort, how about we just say everyone who dislikes her is an incel that hates women?
This is still the standard argument put forward by Sequel Apologists. That any deviation from a bad corporate action movie means you “hate women” and are an “incel.” It’s stunning that adults operate at this level

Nudity
Actual character development would be a start.
Just make her evil. Everyone hates her already, might as well cash in

The movie would have been better if they just flat out removed her
Make her a man
Full penetration. By Aliens.
Dark side.

A year. A fricking year.
36c's
Sex
How does Rey have such a body of pure sex but such a demeanor of innocence
that’s how a man sits. you want to frick a man
Get rid of her clothes. Keep her Naked.
My CMNF fetish would go into overdrive.
Give her an actual personality. The story can't seem to decide whether she's calm and collected or feral from her time in Jakku. making her japanese with huge breasts and nipplea
Giant breasts and a nudist
Nothing. She's great as is. You're just a homosexual that's mad she's a girl and didn't fulfill your power fantasy.
For her to not wear any clothes.
Twerking covered in oil
Let her have an actual identity. Not the Falcon's pilot, not a force user, not a saber wielder, not a Palpatine, not a Skywalker, just Rey.
For her part, Daisy Ridley needs to be raped by wild dogs.
Mouth and pussy and ass on my dick and my sperm in her belly
Ben turns good and Rey turns dark.
There, saved the shit sequels.
Struggling. For 2 movies Luke literally can’t seem to do anything right apart from blowing up the Death Star in ANH/rescuing Leia. The character is so frustrated by it until really the end of ESB.

People love Luke to this day. He’s a global icon. And it’s because he struggled so much and yet persevered that people identify with him.
adventures in the microcosm like lucas planed a few decades ago ?
Keep her Nude
a fat wiener
Haven't watched the second sequel movies. Did they really steal Plo Koon's yellow Saber and give it to Reymundo Palpatine?
They should have gone with the anti-hero route if they gonna pull the Palpatine bloodline bullshit.

She should fail at some point and require a stronger male character to save her
Reminder all nu wars is homosexual shit
barefoot scenes
>can repair and pilot any ship
>can win over other characters without doing anything
>can win lightsaber duels master the force without training
What else is there to improve anon? She's the best ever.
