Like pro athletes, models, fricking piano movers, actors should plan their shit out assuming that they'll be unable to work after mid 40's and have an exit strategy.
I'd like to hear more VA work from him, and in a perfect world that would come in the form of a loving Gabriel Knight sequel.

He stroke out at 66. Wonder if he kept up physical exams to catch it early.

        Anonymous

There's no "catching it early". There are known risk factors, like smoking and drinking (he did both) and some genetic component (not as much as heart problems), but ultimately it happens and then you have 4 hours to get your ass to the emergency room for them to even have a shot at doing something about it. After that it's damage done.

If you get one-sided neurological deficits or sudden intense vertigo, call a fricking ambulance

          Anonymous

oh also if you go to bed fine but wake up with deficits, since we can't know when they started, no intervention for you. Strokes are terrifying.

It's okay though, the evidence to support TNK/TPA affecting stroke outcomes isn't that great so really it's just cope. Sometimes it just makes you bleed out instead

It is very sad. 35 year old boomer here.

Tim Curry was the first actor I ever recognized. Muppet Treasure Island is the first movie I remember watching in a movie theatre and from that day on Tim Curry was "that dude who played Long John Silver" to me. I could always recognize his style and the direction he took any of his characters.

He wasnt in many movies but his style of acting was very distinct in a way very very few other actors can claim. The dude is a legend and I will always remember him how he was.
