    Godzilla Minus One
The opening scene. The music and the animalistic portrayal of him on the island was terrifying and refreshing

Mission To Mars. Saw it at the campgrounds open-air theatre when I was like 12, the scene where the guy gets sucked into the twister and spun so fast his arms and legs rip off gave me nightmares for weeks.

Color Out of Space. I watched it at 2am with headphones on in total darkness. The performances of the characters as they lose their grip on reality was very unsettling to me. They way they delivered their lines like they were in a bad dream where their tone, inflection , emotion, and facial expressions were all just slightly "off" made the sense of creeping dread feel way more other worldly and bizarre as the movie progressed. I watched it again and wasn't as creeped out, so I must have just been in the perfect state of mind to absorb that particular movie.

In terms of just being scary, The Haunting 1963's atmosphere is unmatched to me. There's just some quality to it that makes it stand apart, especially for its time.
In terms of overall unsettlement, Cannibal Holocaust is up there. Feels like a documentary a lot of the time.

First half of Barbarian was unnerving, dark tunnels are an easy creepy location. Once it switched perspectives however the fear factor was gone.

Dear Zachary. But for something that was completely outside my control is how I would have ended up. Dead, and my kids murdered by a lunatic woman.
