Whats the most stressful movie you've ever seen? I need to feel some serious tension. I want that sweet post-anxiety catharsis.

Children of Men is an amazing thriller
Inland Empire.
Watch The Stranger starring Joel Edgerton. It's fucked.

Seconding these ones, especially Funny Games. Watch the English version.
>Prisoners
made me freak the fuck out for a week after I saw it. I was on edge for no reason.

>Wow. Try even harder.
lol you ARE insecure and trying hard omg lol
LOL omg. Shit. Got me. 😛
Love you babe, call me later. 😉
Excellent choice, as well as their earlier film Good Time.
Some of the best , most stressful scenes from any film include the Godfather, when Michael is dining with the police captain and the other mobster as the train approaches, and the scene in Deer Hunter in the first roulette sequence.
Funny Games made me very stressed and agitated.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall had me so on edge watching all those scenes with Russell Brand alone with Kristen Bell. I was on the edge of my fucking seat the entire film. I wanted to help at all costs, yet, I couldn't.
Then I watched the sequel... Get Him to the Greek.
Skinamarink (2023)
Climax (2018)
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)
Mommy Dearest (1981)
Mad God (2022)
Possession (1981)
The Plague Dogs (1982)
I usually see it be called a depressing movie but does anyone think requiem for a dream is very stressful especially when the characters keep digging themselves further
>Requiem for a Dream
Neither depressing nor stressful. It's a glorified After School Special.
Antichrist with Willem Dafoe
I couldn't get past 30 minutes. From the very start it's just sheer dread and depression. Horrible film. Like Ketamine but a movie
I really hated Natural Born Killers and found it way too edgy but the stressful schizo editing was easily its most redeeming part, the prison riot scene in particular.
Try even harder and I'll think about it.
:-0 yes mommy and/or daddy and/or mommydaddy
The Guilty(Den skyldige)
Soft & Quiet.
I've never seen it mentioned on this site, but when Cinemaphile finds out about it, it's going to explode in popularity.
this. Literally almost couldn't watch that scene
>the bone breaking noise
The wolf creek movies fucked me up
The Greasy Strangler
I never felt that during a movie. Just a book. I read The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant during a time when I was alone and nearly killed by an illness. Great trilogy. Nearly caused me to have a nervous breakdown though. Glad it's ending wasn't nihilistic.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Comedy though
Don't.
Spoorloos
but there is no catharsis
Goldeneye purely for one scene near the end, you do need to pay attention at the start to get the stress though
Day of the Dead is definitely up there for me. Everybody in that movie is on the verge of a mental breakdown.
The Departed
Alpha dog
Nocturnal animals
