To serve BWC
This. Also to serve as justification for the creator's diversity hiring.
She feels like an Elseworlds character that someone quietly wrote into the main universe. I mean her entire gimmick is being a Lantern that's stuck on the other side of the universe from all the Earth stuff and actual events of import. Frankly, I think that's pretty cool. It's important to have a vehicle to flesh out DC Cosmic. I could do without her Kamina glasses and hair though.
>Kamina glasses
I don't know why they didn't just give her goggles. Would've looked less out of place.
Nah, they match the equally ludicrous hair.
But...but...how will we know she's queer if she doesn't wear outrageous hair and accessories????
(She is queer, right?)
Yes, she’s bisexual
>What's the point of this character?
Fat ebony ass in tights.
Originally, she seemed like an attempt to use the established Green Lantern framework to explore social issues with a slightly harder adherence to sci-fi. Currently, she's there so DC can have both a woman and a black person wearing the green without having to come up with ideas for the original Black Lantern, Muslim Lantern, and Girl Lantern.
She's a step in the right direction in that case. Not recycling the same characters or forcing her to replace them, but also using her being a black woman to tell actual stories? Geez, it's almost like there are actual writers at DC.
To have yet another green lantern on earth
>To have yet another green lantern on earth
You're a fricking moron. I'm not sure if she's shown up on Earth at all, but if she has its been for a short stint.
>Not recycling the same characters or forcing her to replace them,
Like the anon above, I'm guessing you dont actually read GL. Because here and TEEN-Lantern came to save the corps recently.
She's a dogshit character just there to check a box. The writer clearly didnt know much about GL lore and contradicted a lot and had to backtrack on a bunch of stuff as the series went on.
oh noo not the deep compelling Green Lantern lore
It doesn't matter if the lore is compelling or good. it matters that its consistent. Otherwise, what's the point of having her be a green lantern?
Let me tell you the point. The point was to draw eyes to their idiot black woman character and they knew that otherwise, it would have had zero sales if it was just some original character, because the writer sucked.
Woke points from Twitter.
Far Sector
She was just created for the one story.
Then a hack decided to make her canon.
I don't mind her bring canon, i hate that they made her an earth lantern. Keep her in space, she did well. Give her her niche where she can grow and not be homogenised like the rest of the earth lanterns
That descision reaks of some executive meddling. She had a perfect niche but now she has to join the main cast.
>she did well
lol
>oh noo not the deep compelling Green Lantern lore
and yet the writer still managed to frick it up
She's mid but her series was surprisingly cool. Best world building in a GL comic in maybe a decade.
She's the token perfect black woman who's always right and always wins just because she's a black woman. Everybody must worship the uppity, vain black woman who's only achievement is apparently just existing.
I feel like I see this same generic post on Cinemaphile every five threads or so. It's like an AI writes it.
but is he or it right?
Ended ups kipping far sector when someone told me it stared a bisexual black woman.
Kinda a red flag of "this book will blow chunks" in modern content.
Far Sector is a decent GL mini series and it was a mistake to put her in regular DC continuity. Being in the fringes of GL sector space was pretty much her niche.
he's right Far Sector is boring at best moronic at worst.
i dont know much about her but i like her costume
She would look so much better with a dif hairstyle
They're a black Woman. That's.... literally it.
She isn't fat, I want to see this Green Lantern lady with an an enormous belly boobs and ass.
I remember she's an alphabet character, either bisexual or non-binary or something, I don't remember.
She fricks aliens. Right up Cinemaphile's alley.
Big Black dicky.
At this point , they should do a EarthGreenLanterncaust.
Sex symbol?
To be a sexy black female lantern who will turn out Jessica Cruz.
Hot!
