ok anon i'll take your word for it
What website is this? I cant find a free stream anywhere.
fricking trash
FRICK CLAIRE
HATE CLAIRE
I skimmed through it but it was gay as frick. Nothing happens: the vlog
Where do morons like you come from? Your mother's moronic pussy?
Would still hit it.
REC or The Borderlands
The Borderlands is a proper low budget masterpiece, love that film
V/h/s
I respect that as long as we can agree that Safe Haven from 2 is probably the best bit from the entire franchise
Just watched this last night and the only noteworthy part of the first movie was the when they pick up the drunk chick and the monster
REC
The one where aliens attack the farmhouse that they aired on TV when I was little
was that the one where the last scene the alien freezes them in their bedroom and was behind the door?
Also had like a bright light fly through the house at one point
I believe they're talking about the original 1989 The McPherson Tape/UFO Abduction. Don't remember the ending, saw it was back on tubi along with the remake I think.
Cloverville
man this movie was fricking dogshit
what movie is it
Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum
Blair Witch tbh
There should be more non-horror found footage films.
such as?
does Cloverfield or Trollhunter count?
your mothers dogfart audition tape
The second one was kino, after that it was just to sell toys in happy meals.
Isn’t that what Project X was?
End of Watch
that was great. I'm holding off on a rewatch
Yeah I really enjoyed it. I should give it a rewatch sometime.
This is one of the best found footage I have seen, and probably the best non-horror one. It loses me a little in the end though.
nice doubles. i'll check it out. stay thick, stay tight.
Pretty sure this is in my watchlist because you've rec'd it before. I'll have to check it out sometime.
Also checked.
C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America
blair witch. troll hunter is also ok. also that one segment from lake mungo but it's not a found footage movie.
Noroi
Creep
The Monster Project. I just like cool monsters. We get a vamp, skinwaller, and Japanese ghost. Along with a typical dumb but fun final 10 second twist.
>make found footage horror
>Cinemaphile creams their pants
>make found footage horror
>release it on youtube
>Cinemaphile calls it zoomer crap and claims its "analog horror" as if that makes it any different
Why are you so hypocritical?
Analog horror is le edited scary face pics, it's not found footage like BWP or REC.
I like The Poughkeepsie Tapes
some lesser known ones i love that make a great double feature are "388 Arletta Avenue" and "Hangman." Both involve a stalker/home intruder setting up hidden cameras and fricking with the inhabitants of the house they break into.
Also, Kôji Shiraishi is probably the best found footage director that has made a lot of great movies. Other than his feature films like Noroi, Cult, Occult, and A Record of Sweet Murder, Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi and it's spinoffs are really good and each "file" is basically a full length film.
>"388 Arletta Avenue" and "Hangman."
these are sick
>Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi
There's a new one called "Senritsu Kaiki World Kowasugi!" coming out next month some time. Hopefully it's good and up for torrent soon after release.
>What's your favorite found-footage movie?
Okaruto
that one got too outlandish tbqh
noroi was so much better
noroi, that jap film
the schizo guy scenes had that raw liveleak feel to them
I'm asiatic and unironically Lake mungo is one of the best horror movies. I entered a military training camp where grenade accident happen once, I served for a month and transferred to the unit. Drill Instructor in training center was a strange person whose soul seemed to have escaped, and he said that man who died in the grenade accident appear on a rainy day. in night, Wearing a raincoat, just smiling, "It seems that anyone who died in an accident or suicide can't leave there for the forever" And I actually saw a ghost there, it was white as if it's whole body was glowing and it was dancing looking back in the abandoned warehouse. I made sure I wasn't looking at anything or dreaming, and I looked there again. He was dancing regardless of whether I was watching or not. In fact, he seemed to save me once. Because I instinctively felt that if it had turned it's face to me and looked at me, I'd fricking died of a heart attack, It felt like seeing deadly wild beasts such as tiger, or natural disasters And when I saw Lake Mungo, I remembered what that schizo said, remembered that warehouse ghost or something, Lake Mungo was a calm, sad, and scary movie in itself, but unironically, it's a realistic movie it seems. A person who died in an accident or suicide can't never leave peacefully. That's what I think.
>Verification not required.
her seeing her own corpse always got me, and even after when they find out her ghost really was in the brothers pictures was really good. The really creepy part was the fricking neighbor just chilling in the house out of sight creeped me the frick out as well
Brother in law was in the military
He saw ghosts on base as well
Such as a dancing indian doing a war cry, complete with beating drums
The ghost actually followed him home
His wife, who is my wife’s sister, also has ghosts following her, a little girl
I had to stay over at their house over a weekend while they were out, fricking dishes moving all the time and heavy footsteps coming down the hallway where we were sleeping only to stop at the door, and then start again at the end of the hallway
She has a recurring dream or nightmare where she’s walking down the same hall and is trying to open the door but it never opens, i warned her whenever that door does open, it’s not going to be good
I was one of the guys who fell for the lake mungo meme, at first watch i was like wth is this bullshit but over time as i was cursed to shill it on threads like this, the movie grew on me, its a good movie, the kind that grows on you like cancer
yeah I know it looks like such a made up dump pile of shit, but your sister seems in some trouble so listen,
as I'm Korean I don't know shit about anything with shadow people, and never heard of it before,
however, 7 months before, the night, I went to buy something at the convenience store, then one black object attacked me and when I looked around it, it disappeared,
a few days later my back starting to hurt as frick and I had to lie down for a week, I had searched what that thing was and that's a shadow person, It makes every victim suffer from more than one disease,
another few days later I encountered some ghost in my dream, It wasn't a shadow person at all, it was an ordinary man but he's got a far terrible look, he's laughing in tears of blood
he disdained me with some words, I can't understand it but somehow I was indescribably fricking outraged of it. so I skinned him to death as painfully as I could, and he was smiling in tears of blood even as I skinned him to the brim of his hair, but in a rattling voice he begged and said, "please stop." but I didn't let him slide, took it all off, cut it into pieces, and dumped it at the police station in my dream.
after that day, nothing like ghosts came out to me, this is so quite strange, so I posted it on the community site but they mocked me for being a schizo, such as fake tough guy (Koreans are famous for their utter shitty personality), so I just cursed their mother and forgot about it,
but in your sister's case it's pretty terrible, so I have to say one thing to tell your sister to always be strong, even in a dream,
whatever your brother in law contacts, whether it's really a powerful Indian soul or an alien, if you come into contact with something that's powerful, he's bound to have junk shit attached to the people around him, that junk shit is probably just a little spirit floating around, and she can shake off that shit if she's got strong mind. at least try to kill them in dreams,
Agree that Lake Mungo is a spooky "realistic" depiction of the paranormal, but I swear I've seen you post this same story at least 3 times kek.
I know but if I tell it to people what I saw in real life, they will put me in confinement asap
and when I told about it to my parents
they actually tried to put me in ward
Wow :0
She's really beautiful
i think it was 2012, it had a generic name like "apocalypse" and it was about two people documenting a forest cult.
Diatlov's Pass
>Electricity
Lake Mungo.
Also REC and Blair Witch Project.
lake mungo has found footage but doesn't count
Horror mockumentaries are a type of found footage. Just like those screen movies like Unfriended or The Den are a different type.
Savageland
?feature=shared
This. Pure kino. Would love to see more mockumentary horror. They did a great job of making you feel pure dread throughout.
Everything other than the gay social commentary about illegals was kino
Like most movie trends the one that popularized it is the best one. It's The Blair Witch Project for me.
Are we considering something like Ghostwatch found footage?
Yes.
Than yeah, it's gotta be not just a personal favorite, but one of the best of all time.
>one of the best of all time.
Yeah it definitely is.
speaking of ghostwatch that frickin wnuf halloween special iss uch hot garbage
too many stupid fricking commercial breaks and the ending is a subversion for subversion's sake
can't believe so many people talk it up as if it's anywhere NEAR being a successor to the OG (original ghostwatch)
god these are always so fricking shit but my friend loves them for some reason
anyways the only good one is Gonjiang Haunted Asylum or whatever the frick it was called, I don't speed asian
>I don't speed asian
sounds like you don't "speed" english, either
I was watching a Super Best Friends let's play, frick you, I typed the wrong word because I heard something else spoken. I'm so sorry that I made a typo.
Seems you don't know English either, nice capitalization you fricking idiot.
>I was watching a Super Best Friends let's play
what game?
the game
SOMA
Love that game.
I didn't want to replay it and I was feeling nostalgic.
It is a pretty good game.
based 'batsu anon
RIP to our canadian boyz
Yeah. A shame.
I thought this would be THE thread, but it's just an on-topic discussion.
intriguing!
my favourite found-footage movie (sort of) is the Diary Of The Dead
>ctrl + f
>hell
>no matches
come on guys literally no one mentioned Hell house
Probably because it's not that good lol
shut your mouth. hell house has soul
Blair Witch Project. And its not even close
Hands down, the king of the genre, Muzan-E.
Need to re-watch it but Evidence (2012)
?si=dMn0RYzoP_yTC88c
cloverfield
HOW ARE THE FOLLOWING???
> Skinwalker Ranch
> Phoenix Forgotten
> The Tunnel
Only seen The Tunnel but it's good.
>HOW ARE THE FOLLOWING???
Area 51 (2015)?
Not found footage but I remember pic related being good.
Looks like they lifted heavily from the Cloverfield creature
Hellhouse llc was scary
lake mungo
cloverfield
Hellhouse LLC, Grave Encounters, and Gonjiam are my top 3 found footage horrors. Find it difficult to enjoy others after watching these.
There hasn't been a good one in years.
I miss /ffg/ and THC
Watch deadstream. Go into it completely blind trust me.
the lost 70 hours of non-used lesbian sex footage of "Blue Is the Warmest Colour"
Not my favorite or anything but I watched one recently called The Levenger Tapes that I didn't mind. It had an added gimmick that some cops were watching the tapes so every now and then you'd get some normal not found footage scenes thrown in.
I remember seeing another found footage movie I can't remember the name of that was like that too. I don't know why but to me it makes it feel more immersive if the footage exists in universe, rather than films that try and pretend it's actually real which of course it's not. Also makes it feel like an X-Files episode or something which is fun.
Just finished Leaving D.C. It was pretty good, thanks for the suggestion.
The Bay is terrible
the only thing I remember about that movie is that the lead actress's ass looked great in those pants
Grave encounters, anyone? It's possibly the best one
it's good but i think the haunted asylum is overplayed. people either choose that or gonjijam of course. if you like those check out "last radio call" it's not as good but it kinda ends up turning into a similar style movie i guess. the build up was solid.
end of watch isn't horror. comedy i have no idea...
i know some horror/comedy though if that's ok. "One Cut of the Dead" and "Deadstream"
End of Watch is kino.
proof that whites and mexicans can coexist, even if only for the length of a kino flick
is found footage always horror? are there any comedy ones for example?
>are there any comedy ones for example?
The Dirties
Spinal Tap
What We Do in The Shadows is a comedy found footage, haven’t seen the show but the original movie is great.
I unironically enjoyed the VHS series and it’s great that Shudder keeps pumping out the sequels
What the frick is wrong with her eyes? Stop that shit.
She's possessed.
You can do that without the eyes
The eyes make it spookier.
Was hard to get spooked while she was ASMRing me tbh senpai.
But I don't like it.
She's hot though so it's not scary
The Taking of Deborah Logan.
In reality, I find every film I watch, therefore every film could be described as found footage. It is impossible to watch a film you have not yet found. Semantically your question does not make sense.
Therefore, my answer to your question is Shrek.
