This guy's channel is based and has turned me onto new films. He's done more for me than this board, that's for sure
Most modern movies feel like they are one hour movies that run at half speed. Stretching a 1 hour movie to 2 hours doesn‘t make it better, doesn‘t make it deeper and doesn‘t make you smarter for liking it. It‘s like watching fricking anime

Has it occurred to you that it could be a guide for people who don't have that much free time and would rather watch shorter things?
Some people have jobs you know
>You dont have more than 3 hours of free time?
Some people are working so much that that might be all they have in a single day. They might have more, but who wants to spend all of their free time on a single movie?
Hell, I only have one job, but by the time I get home at 4:30, I have errands and have to cook and clean. Once everything is all said and done, it's probably 7 or 8 o'clock. A three-hour movie will take me to 10 or 11, at which point my day is gone. If it's something I absolutely want to watch, then of course I'll make time for it, but I sure as hell ain't gonna blind-watch some 180-minute, million-dollar Hollywood shitshow with the last few prescious hours of my day; much rather just get high and jerk off.
No one's patting themselves on the back for being able to do the bare minimum. We're just pointing out how pathetic you are for not even being able to do that.

>i don't have free time so i'm going to spend my time watching a youtube homosexual somehow explaining how to watch longer movies even though i don't have the time to watch them anyway
that's what everyone says while they play gay gacha games 5 hours a day stop pretending to have a life homosexual everyone knows you're a lazy frick lol
i can but movies like blade runner 2049 and 2001 feels uhhhh long. had to pause every hour and do something else. i can binge lotr and harry potter no problem
It‘s not just that these films are long. It‘s that they‘re long while still not having anything happen. Modern cinematic language has gotten excruciatingly slow (in part because of 10h mini series i expect). When was the last time you saw a 90 min feature film?
Sometimes when I watch a really long movie that bores me to tears I wonder wether something is wrong with me but then you watch a movie that actually justifies it‘s runtime (lawrence of arabia godfather rrr etc.) which you thoroughly enjoy and it turns out that those other movies are just bad and boring
I wish my head would be as fricked as yours zoomie. Being able to blend out all the shit around me by simply forgetting it a minute after recognizing it would make life a lot better.
I like to watch movies in VR.
I tell myself that I have my own bubble universe with a huge kinoplex all to my own, and that in my kino bubble universe I have no responsibilities, no body, no needs. I am just a floating eye that takes in the kino, and there is no danger. Only kino.
my phone can't get to me, my parents can't tell me to get a job, no feels to upset me. The feels stay in the outside world, they can't cross over and trouble me in my kino universe.
Watch it at night, on a TV, not a laptop or phone. Don't eat or do something else while watching. And it is important that the lights of the tv are the only thing around, it's better to turn off every light or let just dim lights.
And of course, you must want to watch the movie or show, at least wanting at some degree, because if it is some kind of duty in your mind, you will not be there.
I've watched BollyKino Gangs of Wasseypur (4+ hours) in one sitting. It depends on the movie. Capeshit gets boring if it's a minute over 2 hours, simple.
I take a lot of drugs, get very drunk, and give myself a choice in the form of a Colt Detective Special with one round in it. I spin the chamber, I pull the trigger. If I die, I no longer have to watch movies. If I live, I have to finish the movie. That's my trick and it's worked out so far
>shilling someones low effort clickbait youtube channel - ok >RLM - ITS UP >some dumbass 4 hour long essay - why not >vsauce video with a unique idea worth discussing- THREAD PRUNED, USER BANNED
we need to accept that youtube is the new tv and stop this selective bullshit jannies
If I'm attending a longer film in theater I will stop drinking fluids an hour or so before the film starts. I'll then be certain to empty my bladder before the film starts. This works for all but the longest films. One film I did need to get up to pee during was A Brighter Summer's Day which is 4 hours long.
If the movie isn't shit you should be able to do it
What was the Avenger's movie that was 3 hours long, with the recap in the front? Within the first 20 minutes they had slow motion jogging scenes, and I was so appalled I told the dude I was Netflix and Chill'ing with to turn it off, I couldn't even get fricked with it in the background on principle.
On the other hand, Kingdom of Heaven - Director's Cut I had zero problem with, I didn't even know Pulp Fiction was so long
>cumbrain needs tutorial to stay focused for more than 2.5 seconds
Not being a TikTok ADHD zoomer homosexual
bruh i marathoned the first half of Avengers: Endgame while watching some slappin tiktoks fr

You're going to need better bait
he only reviews capeshit or the latest cartoon for children, just like this board though
i've watched a few videos from him and yeah, i agree with you...
>doesnt want to watch movie/finds it boring
>doesnt focus on it
either people have fried brains or they just force themselves
>What's your secret, Cinemaphile?
I watch them
The secret is the movie being good, be in the dark and keep the phone away.
Pulp fiction isn't even long
watch it at 1.25 speed
checked
1.25 speed + second monitor while gaming + read imdb or wiki summary afterwards in case i missed anything
I'm not a zoomer and therefore a moron with ADHD so I can watch long movies with no problem
I didn't destroy my brain with twitter and tiktok
to be interested in the movie I am watching
I just stop watching after 90 minutes. If the movie isn't over at that point, I just infer an ending.
Go peepee and poopoo before starting the kino.
I will paint the house and be my own carpenter to anyone who did this
Zoomers are fricking pathetic. Can their tiktok brains not withstand focusing for more than 1 hour?

It’s your own fault if you don’t have 3 hours of free time in a day. Frick workaholics. They should just be robots.

This. I watched Seven Samurai last week, and it doesn't feel long at all once you get into it. Even all the superfluous scenes have sovl.

Get up and stretch sometime after every 60 minutes.

I only keep watching engaging movies that I want to pay attention to. Works every time.
Not being a subverted zoomer with an utterly broken attention span.
By not being mentally deficient.

Vsauce videos aren't about movies, the others are.
what is a movie
one day you moron zoomers will get your own board for ecelebs hopefully
in the meantime please stop posting them
>mfs will watch 8 episodes of the newest streaming show from Epix! in a row....
>....but balk at the idea of watching a 2.5 hour movie
I'm too ADD to watch films in one sitting unless it's at a cinema. not a zoomer by the way.
Take piss breaks at cheesy irrelevant love scenes.
I only watch compelling capeshit
