you're aware you can write books out of order, yes?
This. No way he wrote that before the books was done. Symbolically its the story of the knight king using blood sacrifice to get the tree magic and somehow creating or turning into the undead cold knight king.
Stannis has a lot more parallels to the Night King in the books, you can see they are creating a parallel to him a lot more when you get into hearing the legends of him.
The funny thing is they completely failed...and House of the Dragon still became the biggest show of the year and won the best show Golden Globe.
It tells you how awful the tv landscape is in general when a spin-off show of a complete failure still somehow beats the competition.
I don't think HBO had much faith but still had deals to finish, they started announcing shows left and right once the gears started turning and several of the previous cast has made some kind of remark like tall b***h. How long till we get a Assassins creed showing up in Jon's new show?
>Stannis
GRRM tells you about the others and night king through stand ins. Stannis is big but also everyone sitting in weirwood roots or on wooden thrones. Three eyed crow bloodraven, Beric, grey king of the iron born, the tyrells have a storm of an oak seat. Also all the one eye stuff cause grrm made knight king a odin figure.
The prologue of the book literally starts with a scary ice monster guy.
GRRM has said the first thing he ever thought of which the inspiration for the rest of the story flowed from was the scene of Ned Stark executing the Night’s Watch deserter as Bran watches.

House of the Dragon was honestly good though. Great performances and the only down side are the first episode being anti natalist propaganda and the time skips which could not be avoided I think.
When they introduced Renly by graphicly getting his dick sucked by a dude instead of just having people from other factions implying he's gay to disparage him
Ambiguity and subtlety are gone in favor of WOW, GAY SEX IN YOUR FACE IS SO BRAVE
It's funny that HBO literally just did the exact same thing with The Last of Us. Television simply cannot merely imply a character is gay, it's now absolutely VITAL that they're shown taking wiener in the ass to remove all ambiguity.
It was serviceable and somewhat enjoyable until season 5 before becoming mostly pop culturized normie trash, but the rot had been there since season 2 (for example turning Jeyne Westerling into muh empowered female doctor, changing Cersei having Robert's bastards killed to Joffrey to make her sympathetic, absolutely ruining the Qarth storyline and the House of the Undying scenes, and other stuff).
The books even now are not bad. There was a massive change after the third one. 4 and 5 feel like different books. I still enjoy them and there is great stuff there but there is definitely a gear shit.
The show I started to notice it weaken as early as season 2. Some normies started b***hing during 4 and 5 and everyone was off by the end.
Last season was great you guys were not just prepared to receive it as a comedy. Dany snapped and burned and woman with her daughter in the very next shot I was laughing my ass off.
How much are the odds he is rewriting WoW and SoS to make the fans less angry? I once watched an interview where he said fans had called him on a huge plot twist years beforehand due to the internet. I feel like he saw the reaction has to change shit, out of all the potential characters to pull the kill shots on the NK, Cersei, and Mad Dany, Jon killing NK, Arya killing Cersei, and Jamie killing MD make way more sense based on their prospective stories.
He doesn't have the heart too, but he also won't save her, his whole conversation about Dany's dad, the idea of duty over honor has been his driving theme, it makes sense he has to slay the daughter who also went mad.
He does deserve the throne, but I'm worried about Melisandre killing him for LOL TWIST
I haven't read the books in a while, but isn't Stannis way more in charge where the show is basically he's hypnotized by her?
it was never good. it was just some fat guy writing porn with some "oh btw there's like this evil ice zombie guy..."

Don't forget they have several types of undead in the world. They also hard-pointed at an undead wolf-headed king through Dany's dreams
Greatly exaggerating how much sexual content ASOIAF/GOT has and muh "hehehe fantasy with porn" is such a basic b***h normie thing to do.
He meant food porn anon.
Hehe that I can see, Martin definitely looks like he knows his food. I still want to try "lamprey pie" and "honeyfingers"
You never read the books
GRRM has said the first thing he ever thought of which the inspiration for the rest of the story flowed from was the scene of Ned Stark executing the Night’s Watch deserter as Bran watches.
and? people lie all the time. look at all the celebs who say they grew up in the ghetto but they were rich af.
Why are you continuing? You are getting trolled.
I thought he said it was the scene were they find the direwolf pups.
Honestly more likely than winds.
It was always shit
fpbps
literally the kind of fantasy book you buy in a target book aisle

ask the mod protected pedo thread
is WoW out?
Frick no. I dont even have to google.
HOTD did well. Their inability to follow it up within a year is shocking though.
its hilarious how much both grrm and hbo utterly failed to capitaize on all the hype that got had and now nobody gives a frick anymore

when HBO started making the show

Season 7
Last season was great you guys were not just prepared to receive it as a comedy. Dany snapped and burned and woman with her daughter in the very next shot I was laughing my ass off.
Holy shit, learn how to write
Ya I was distracted sorry.
When Stannis got jobbed in Season 5 was when I knew it.
Stannis still hasn't jobbed out in the books. Keep the hope alive

Jaime has to kill Cersei because of the prophecy
Feels bad. Rightful king
>Jaime has to kill Cersei because of the prophecy

I think he gets jobbed after winning the battle against the Boltons.
He does deserve the throne, but I'm worried about Melisandre killing him for LOL TWIST

hes dying in the books too, but presumably in a much more kino manner
still gonna burn shireen tho
What are you talking about? "The books" will NEVER come out. Just drop it.
Jews.
GIVE ME DUNK AND EGG ALREADY DAMMIT
Lol, so it's proven the zombies were in it from the start.
When they hired female writers
