Phase 4 in general for me. WV had such a terrible ending but I kinda let it go, then Falcon pulled the same shit and I was bothered. Then it slowly has just been kinda shit since.

Age of Ultron, I realized that the average movie called Avengers was it's high point and it can only go down from there.
Second Thor. Third was kinda fun. They should have made his movies more fantastical because he’s in a pure magic setting. But no, more earth and beige shenanigans. Also character assassination.

I enjoyed what I watched, but after Endgame was the big finale for everything they built up, I lost interest because it's been blatantly clear they have no idea what they want to do anymore. It was nice when there was something everything was building up to, and I give them credit for not completely blowing the finale.

Iron Man 3, although from what I can tell the general populace started to grow tired of it after Endgame. Which just makes sense, they basically put a bow and ribbon on the cinematic universe and now they're still trying to keep it going.

Nah even then actors were just tired, especially ones that needed to constantly stay in superhero shape the whole time. Like Evans probably could have lasted another decade. Yeah he's getting older but Cap in modern times is portrayed as a veteran soldier that's about middle aged instead of a buff pretty boy so it could have worked. But Evans was just tired of doing it.
I think the MCU should take a break after this phase is done.

The only Marvel films I've bothered since then has been No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness because nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

I haven't gone out of my way to watch any of them. I've only seen ones when a friend or relative wanted to see a movie and Marvel came up as the choice. To date I've only seen the first Iron Man, Spider Man Far From Home and both Deadpool movies.

I found WandaVision, Loki and What If? to be interesting albeit flawed. But the recent and upcoming shows don't interest me. Hawkeye and F&WS had their moments but I'm not much for watered down Disney+ street level Marvel. I saw No Way Home, Black Widow, Eternals and Multiverse of Madness and thought the latter two tried to be a little more unique but it wasn't enough.
It's like the MCU is tyring to branch out but they're still afraid to take really big swings so we end up with a lot of half-baked tv and films. It's more frustrating because you can see the potential but it's not being reached. I really felt that with WV, Loki, MoM and Eternals.
Endgame killed my interest, but the Disney+ series buried it.
I still saw the movies that came afterward, but I hated every moment of it. Even the TV series, which I only saw Wanda and Falcon, felt like absolute wasted potential at best and pure infuriating garbage at worst.
I didn't even watch the new Strange movie, the spoilers made me hate it.
I just want mainstream super hero movies to die for a few years at this point.
Phase 1 was the only phase I watched every movie for. Bothered with increasingly few over time. I still catch projects that interest me (Loki was possibly my favorite thing under the label), but that's basically nothing at this point.
What I want to know is, did Feige overexert himself by taking control of the TV shows? Because it's really clear Phase 4 is really disorganized, with the TV and films.

Thanos was 1000000% better when his motivation was "I'm fricking crazy and I want to frick Death so I'm going to kill trillions of people" rather than some nonsense balance autism that literally everyone immediately pointed out didn't and wouldn't work.
Hell, the stinger from the first Avengers movie had the whole double meaning of "to court Death" with a focus on Thanos's smirking face.
It's a shame, even though I knew the fricking insanity that was Thanos fighting Galactus and the abstracts was never going to happen. A scene of Thanos turning someone's skeleton into rubber would have been amusing to watch though.
They really should've just gone all out in Endgame and had the abstracts and stuff. I don't think we needed a time heist. Would've been smarter to save that for Kang somewhere down the line. Or better yet have Kang be a villain in Endgame after Thanos is killed instead of using a shittier version of him if you're going to do time travel.
Not gonna lie, I would have been highly amused if the Celestials just showed up out of nowhere and started dropping a stack of planets on Thanos with zero explanation.
The biggest example of the MCU not having shit planned out was them not making the Eternals and Black Widow movies before Infinite War and Endgame. Idk why you'd do Eternals and Celestials after killing Thanos.
The only reason they did Inhumans and Eternals is that Disney doesn't own X-Men film rights yet and so are desperate for some kind of replacement.
Neither Inhumans nor Eternals in their original comic form are anything like X-Men at all, and the Eternals movie wasn't either.
I think it was more of an Oscar bait thing. It's a weird choice from Feige though considering Perlmutter was the one who pushed for Inhumans to be the new X-Men in the first place and the Eternals are cut from a similar cloth. They have the rights to the X-Men now and Feige is a fan of them so I don't really get that.
I would've probably been on board for an Eternals project more if it was a streaming series that actually took the time to explore the different eras of history the cast live through. But I guess a show of that scope is too expensive by Disney+ standards. I think the historical epic angle is the main thing it has going for it though and the movie glosses over that.
Far From Home. Endgame felt like the end point of the MCU and anything after felt meaningless. I did like No Way Home, but that was more for its connection to past Spider-Man films than its connection to the MCU.
So far nothing about phase 4 has really interested me and I've barely seen any of it. Watched Shang Chi and it was alright. Didn't bother with Black Widow or Eternals.
I saw Multiverse of Madness was about to hit Disney+ in a few days so decided to give WandaVision a try. Turned it off after 5 minutes. I don't like Wanda and I'm apathetic towards Vision so there was no incentive to sit through the sitcom gimmick. Might not even bother with Multiverse of Madness. I like Doctor Strange, but I hate Wanda, and the movie seems like it's mostly "yass wanda slay".
Was interested in Thor 4 until the trailer. Seems he leaves the Guardians early and it's another "finding himself" plot.
Might give Loki a go. It's the only show that halfway interests me.
Loki is the one I'm most interested in but I'm cautious because of Sylvie. The other shows don't really leave you wanting for more but the conclusions aren't super satisfying either. At least Loki left me curious and they actually gave it a season 2.

NWH was the only one I saw in theaters and that's because my younger brother is a huger spider-man fan so we went as bro night out, the only phase 4 movie I enjoyed cause of all the old spider man stuff and Dafoe being great as always. Ive seen shang chi and black widow for free on tv when im in bed and they both sucked, what is even the point of the shang chi post credit scene? skipped externals and pretty much every tv show except for wanda vision and Loki with Loki being the better of the 2 imo. Saw Dr. Strange, free not in theaters, was ok too much shit going on though and they really have no idea where they're going I have no idea who the new big bad is supposed to be.
Compared to all the other disney marvel shows Loki isnt that bad and I dont get the hate for sylvie, shes hot I would frick her too. Is it cause people think shes a bad actress or they hate the gender bender women part, at this point I really don't give a shit disneys gunna do whatever they want with these characters. If I know before hand theres gunna be a bunch of political or race/gender identity bullshit I wont watch it which is most of their stuff.

I grew tired of it around Iron Man Three, but have since enjoy The Winter Soldier and the first Guardians during the same phase. I hate the MCU is filled with all big events. I was hoping we'd get a more simple mission type film but it's never going to happen.
Event stories are the cancer killing capeshit. Always shaking the status quo to the point the status quo means nothing anymore.
I enjoyed the Guardian series because I like rag tag groups of misfits coming together and fighting baddies. However 3 looks like it’ll suck. I guess it’ll be mixed in with Thor Four. Or is it three? Both final movies for their respective stories will suck.

I think it was Falcon and the Winter Soldier for me. Wandavision had already soured me with its generic shitty ending, but FATWS made me realise that they obviously had no fricking clue where to go after Endgame and not only that, but they were getting more of these shitty third-rate creatives in. Then Loki cemented what I already suspected, and I now haven't watched any of the films since aside from Black Widow and No Way Home. I gave Moon Knight a chance but gave up halfway through. I just felt embarrassed by it tbh

Most everything with Steven was embarrassing to me, all that trite ""awkward"" humour and his annoying personality. Plus the action scenes were surprisingly shitty and the storyline was pretty weak. I just felt embarrassed to be watching it, and even more embarrassed that this was a multi-million dollar show with so many talented actors in it

Infinity War. It was super hyped up and touted as this ultimate crossover and the culmination of every plotline in the MCU, and it was...just okay. It wasn't hype. It wasn't its own movie, it was just the lead-in to Endgame. But then Endgame wasn't great either, it was full of weird time travel plot solutions for no reason and basically just calling back to the very movies that built up to it. If those movies were the buildup, but then Endgame just shouted out the movies, then it's all one meaningless circlejerk.

Infinity War was my cutting off point. I didn't like Captain Marvel, and Endgame was neat but I didn't love it as much as IW.
Wandavision had a neat intriguing concept and that hooked me on it. But I still haven't seen any of the other shows, nor have any real interest in doing so. And betweet Spiderman and new Doctor Strange I got bored of the multiverse already. So unless Sam Raimi or James Gunn get to write and direct a future movie, I think I'm done.
There's no reason to fatigue if you understand that Endgame was The Actual End of the MCU As We Knew It. Everything after is a New Thing and I'm still deciding if I like it or not. That keeps my mind open and my energy positive, but also gives me enough remove that if I don't like where things are headed, I can just tune out and not feel bad about it.

I knew beforehand I'd lose interest after Endgame, and I did, even if it was just self-conviction. Endgame ending on a wet fart didn't help. But Wandavision starting interesting but then devolving into people throwing special effects at each other was when I gave up completely.
Wandavision is where, I think, they really lost the audience - even if the audience didn't quite recognize it at the time. All this shit happened that got people interested, only for it to turn out that none of it actually mattered and won't be followed up on because the only relevant parts of the show were the couple minutes of setup for MoM and Captain Marvel 2.
You're right and you're wrong. The mystery box stuff where comics nerds had their theories on what was going to happen, and none of it ended up being true, that really didn't hurt them that much. The people who were angry about that were a minority of the audience. The show was still really popular with normies, and look at those audience reaction videos to Wanda appearing in the preview of MoM at the end of the previous MCU movie. People were really excited to see her again, and then the movie made most of it's profit in the opening weekend before word got out. They got people invested in those characters and threw it away. It sends a message to audiences to not get invested in any of these shows because they don't matter.
I was talking about those people, the ones who got invested in the actual plot and characters. The theorycrafters got blown out repeatedly before the show finished airing and, while their salt was delicious, had mostly given up by the finale.

I went to see Endgame with my brother because why the frick not and I was mostly bored until the ending.
I have no real interest in anything besides GotG3 (maybe) because its clear they shot their load with all the major characters and disney is completely unwilling to truly experiment or let the franchise get too weird.
I did enjoy Multiverse of Madness because Raimi knows how to handle comic films. hell, he made america chavez somewhat palpable so compared to every other "director" they put on these committee projects he shines like a goddamn star.
