>hard to find people to invest 8k
work at a fricking grocery store for 6 months jeez. but don't really because you specifically are never gonna make it
> invest in as actors
Can you learn English before posting. What the frick are you trying to write? Do you mean "invest themselves in"?

>invest in the show as actors
There you go, moron. Not that hard.
Let me guess, I have to break it down further
>Invest their time and effort into the show as actors

So even though I gave you the correct expression for what you're trying to say, you're too proud to accept it and you're going to try to pretend that the gibberish >invest in the show as actors
means the same thing, which it does not.

No, the correct expression was in the original statement.
>to invest in as actors
It's really not that hard and no one else had a problem understanding it. You got butthurt because you couldn't read a basic sentence and misconstrued it as something else to do with money. It's not my fault you think investing pertains only to money.

you're trying to say "invest themselves". "to invest as an actor" is meaningless. "Invest as" is meaningless

Actually 'invest in as an actor' makes more sense because it tells you it's about their time, skills, reputation. Invest themselves, not qualifying as actors, is actually meaningless because it tells you nothing about what is being invested, as in, them being in the show. 'Invest themselves' could mean anything, from production, to sound, to financially. You're just fricking moronic, and you are clearly a nolifer on here forever desperate to win the dumbest internet argument imaginable.

sorry you can write out all the headcannon you want, you can make up a whole 'better' language, if you like. But currently we're using English which has its own rules, conventions etc., outside of you

You're lecturing me on the English language while using run-on sentences?
>cancelled
He got a restraining order placed against him for domestic violence and then went on a very long and very public schizo breakdown on twitter.
>and I couldn't put myself out there creatively
Time-tested solution for that: move to a new city, somewhere no one knows you and just start doing what you want to do.
No one, not a single person, will think you are weird or will judge you.
Been done millions of times with complete success.
>When I was 19. I knew I couldn't coordinate enough people / funds to make what I wanted to make
Same, but 20. I'm not charismatic enough to convince people to work for free, which I would've had to with my access to money. If I had started skating (seriously) a few years earlier i maybe could've made the connections o start shooting skate parts/editing, but who apart from ~~*spike jonze*~~ ever made the jump to kino? FWIW the israelites I knew weren't rich either, and certainly didn't have Hollywood connections.
>FWIW the israelites I knew weren't rich either, and certainly didn't have hollywood connections.
literally every israelite has connections, you just have to squeeze them enough that they start reaching out to "cousins".
part of their whole shtick is extended family and getting back in touch with lost branches - they will do anything for that.
hate this homosexual, flying across the world and shutting down an airport or something for a day so he can make a two minute fricking video where he just talks to the camera and says "airports are barmy, they take the old bags off and put new ones on the plane". the epitome of a "twit".
His video titles make it seem like that but the bait always leads to something interesting. You should bother watching complete videos (opf all types) rather than skimming the main page thumbnails Youtube collates for you.
I don't watch him not because his videos aren't interesting, I don't watch him because he's an annoying whiney cringey homosexual. If I wanted tech filler I can watch numberphile or something.
No, you're not correct, that's why I hate him, because I did click a video about the airport and settled in to watch what I thought would be a satisfying, comfy, behind the scenes of the airport and about 90 seconds later i was kicked to the fricking pane of next videos thing after this mincing fluffy dickhead said absolutely nothing that any normal person wouldn't already know
In a sane world, he would've had the shit beat out of him in high school, fled to Oxford for intellectual refuge and a Ph.D., and killed himself when the love of his life inevitably rejected him for a man on the water polo team.
For him it is literally AI. The views and revenue are falling and they know what is coming with the AI junk that is about to flood. Oldgays will remember when people irl were quitting their job to sell shit on ebay, that died because it got flooded with Chinese crap. Same thing is about to happen with content so why wait around?
Never really had any. I enjoyed theater as a kid but my school dropped its theater program when I was 11 to fund a hockey stadium.
Haven't done anything related to the arts since. Sometimes I think about writing a screenplay but then I think that I wouldn't know what to do with it when I finished (and that's under the wild assumption that it would be anything resembling good) so I decide not too.
Lol >I need people to invest in a project I'm starting up >Oh cool, well, I have some money. >No, I mean invest as workers. >Hm? An employee owned business? >No, no forget the money. I mean invest as people. >... >... >Oh do you mean... invest themselves, like 'get on board'? To 'get invested'? >Yeah... that's what I said. Invest as people.
lmao imagine hearing some dude try to say this
That's prepping up the audience, you dingbat. You don't just say I QUIT and stop, it leaves a bad taste. You soft retire at first and then go away completely.
the problem is not so much making the kino as making money from the kino
other than posting it on youtube for pennies a click what other option does somebody have for their first release?
you have to make money or else you're just being a janny with extra steps
If there is anyone reading this thread who is 19 or young enough to actually still have a shot at this dream you need to remember that film making is a BUSINESS. Treat it like one. Study the market, find an audience, make something they will certainly watch and hinge everything on that. If you make movies as art you might still succeed but only by chance. If you are able to prove you have the ability to make money making movies, you will find investors.
I don't know what to do. I want to pursue it but film school in Europe is a hellhole of degenerates who don't treat film pragmatically and like a fun medium but as an outlet for their gay spoiled thoughts and feelings. I'm not a liberal moron so that poses a huge obstacle and they want you to assimilate into their ANTIFA/LGBT phasm
Film school is designed to soak up money from useless trust fund kids. Just make something, with whatever budget you can (even $0). This is harder than it sounds because you will have to make something that you feel is 'beneath' you. This is where creativity gets in the way of business. You have to divorce your ego from the product to succeed.
>but I have le artistic integrity
This is just cope for useless buttholes that will never amount to anything.
I'm starting to realize I actually am a genius and chosen by God to save cinema. It's all starting to make sense and I'm finally feeling like the person I'm supposed to be.
youtube isn't real filmmaking
got cancelled by twitter.
For what? What possible infraction could Tom Scott commit? He's about as inoffensive as you can get.
white
He was linked to Israeli demoralization campaigns in England
(Ignoring the eceleb bait)
When I was 19. I knew I couldn't coordinate enough people / funds to make what I wanted to make, and I couldn't put myself out there creatively.
Shane Carruth made Primer for $8k.
My point is you either need the ability to coordinate people or money, and I felt like I had neither
Same. I hate being a midwit. Smart enough to recognize you're not smart and nothing more.
The things I want to make would be hard to find people wanting to invest in it because they're somewhat controversial at this point in time.
explain, and don't be fricking coy: just say exactly what you mean
>hard to find people to invest 8k
work at a fricking grocery store for 6 months jeez. but don't really because you specifically are never gonna make it
I meant invest in as actors, not financially. Hence why I said the controversy aspect you dunce.
Actors are prostitutes. Unless you're making braindead /misc/ memes in video form, they will not care if you pay them.
>Unless you're making braindead /misc/ memes in video form
There, you nailed it.

nice
I didn't have to argue because I had already won.

care to explain? if you're not being a total lying homosexual that is.
cringey anti-woke pol-lite shit. There is a big audience for it though.
You'd have to be crazy to make a film with that budget...
until he got cancelled by his bpd ex and her career took off and now hes a engineer or something. the pigs movie was cool tho and primer is fun
>cancelled
He got a restraining order placed against him for domestic violence and then went on a very long and very public schizo breakdown on twitter.
i remember. a meme about him i posted was the last thing he liked before he deleted his twitter. kind of an honor
damn, i was hoping this comment was about the naff dork in op

This.
The real filmmaking skill is tard wrangling and selling your ideas. If you can't do that then kino production isn't your forte

ritalin.
Me taking ritalin would change the length of the video he uploaded?
That's an impressive strawman you built but you still lost your own argument
huh?
Heh
In a sane world, he would've had the shit beat out of him in high school, fled to Oxford for intellectual refuge and a Ph.D., and killed himself when the love of his life inevitably rejected him for a man on the water polo team.
That's what happened though, minus the phd and suicide

Guys guys you're both homosexuals.
When I realized I had no connections that I could leverage.
>i'll now make less videos
