When did you stop watching, and why?

When did you stop watching, and why?

I stopped watching in 2003 when they got rid of the classic cartoons and the new cartoons started skewing very, very young.

It started going downhill around Late 2002 when Looney Tunes' Weekday airings were reduced to Acme Hour airings. Then in 2003, they stopped airing Flintstones regularly, then in 2004, they removed Looney Tunes (By that time, it was only airing Early in the Morning on Weekends) and moved Dexter and PPG to the 2PM hour on Weekdays

Pretty much all of this. CN died when all the classic cartoons got their hours cut and ultimately removed.

I was really into it in the first half of the 2000s, mainly for shows like PPG, Samurai Jack, and Foster's, then dropped it in the second half. came back to it in 2013 for Steven Universe and haven't stopped watching it since

I only ever watched for the re-runs old old 80s/90s cartoons as well as the Golden Age of animation content (Looney Tunes, Popeye, etc). When all that went away, I had no use for Cartoon Network.

I only stuck with CN when Code Lyoko & Totally Spies was airing.

Outside of that? I quit regularly watching it when they started airing things like Camp Lazlo, Bee, MGPAM, and GAoB&M. Unfortunately a big part of why I quit watching was due to grossout humor. I had a really weak stomach as a kid and I couldn't stand certain episodes of KND, GAoB&M, etc. Plus, I never got in to MGPAM, Camp Lazlo, Chowder, etc. it just never appealed to me.

When it went from being a channel for animation enthusiasts/nostalgic adults to being just another channel for toddlers and little kids.

2016 technically but really closer to 2010 for just watching the channel in general.

I stopped enjoying it around 2014 but kept watching until 17 when I cut cable

2014 was when it absolutely went downhill, the new scheduling format not only effected CN but Boomerang as well, after Over the Garden Wall concluded I jumped ship and earned enough money to get a Roku to watch youtube on my tv.

2004 is pretty much a relaunch from it's original purpose to a kids network with an established name

When they kept spamming Teen Titans Go.

I have nothing against the show, but it was spammed so much I stopped watching.
I know they have gone easy on the TTG marathons nowadays, but it was too little too late for me.

Once they stopped showing up uncensored anime and classic MGM/WB cartoons everyday in LatAm, now the channel is just TTG and crappy Brazilian pre-school shit, good thing we got plenty of other decent channels and Internet so it's not a big loss

By 2013 I basically only watched the channel for Regular Show and Gumball.
By 2017 I basically stopped watching entirely.
