When you want to upgrade from 12-year-old tier capeshit of the types of Marvel,
you go to 17-year-old capeshit of the types of The Boys.
Where do you go to if you want to upgrade to grown-up tier capeshit?

read watchmen. after this you never bother with anything cape related again. thats as good as it will ever get
missed opportunity to turn it into a tv show?
The TV show surpassed the comic...
what tv show?
It still amuses me how Cinemaphile is still too dumb to understand this show.
I didn't even know it exists.
comics are too fantastical and corny to ever be turned into live action successfully. an animated limited series of watchmen might have been good but the comic was good enough on its own
for me? it's foolkiller
How is Watchmen more mature than The Boys? It seems similar tier in terms of that to me.
If you read the comic and still think this you absolutely got filtered. Or just have shit taste
I'm mainly judging by the Watchmen movie.
Doom Patrol
I'll tell you the tiers of capeshit.
Tier 1
Raimi
Nolan
Watchmen comic
Tier 2
Watchmen movie
Logan
Donner Superman
Hellboy 1 & 2
Tier 3
MCU and the rest
Dog shit tier
The Boys
The Boys is the lowest form of capeshit. It's even more grotesque than regular capeshit.
> The Boys is the lowest form of capeshit.
> Puts Logan and Nolan near the top
tell me you're a child without telling me
Nah, he's right. Above average hero stories are much better than wannabe edgelord twitterbait that has nothing to say but "white people bad" yet has the pretention of real social commentary
> I'm a /misc/ack
> it wasn't racist enough
opinion discarded
>tell me without telling me
I can’t believe people that watch The Boys talk like this, current culture really is so unpredictable.
>no batchad in Tier 1
opinion discarded
>Tier 1
Raimi Spider-Man
Burton Batman
>Tier 2
Nolan Batman
Donner Superman
Snyderverse
Watchmen
>Tier 3
Logan
Singer X-Men
2003 Hulk
Blade + Blade II
Hellboy + Hellboy II
V for Vendetta
Nic Cage's Ghost Rider
Batman Forever + Batman and Robin
>Tier 4
Superman Returns
Animated capeshit like Incredibles and Big Hero Six
2000s Fantastic Four
Phase 1 MCU
Non-Singer X-Men
Fant4stic Four
The Boys
>Tier 5
The rest of the MCU
> muh raimi
overrated bullshit
it's just the first time the millennials watched something that combined comedy with capeshit
it had been done a million times in the past and it just happened to be their first toddler experience
How about all capeshit sucks shit and you all need to stop watching it
Anime
read a book
Growing up is realizing you can watch whatever you want.
> just watch toddler tier shit bro
Grow up already you annoying c**t
Reverse the parameters:
What bothers 12 and 17 year olds because it is too adult?
Of that, what's the minimum to be considered superhero story?
/qa/ lost
Do people really like this or only americans? Its 12 year old humour tier. I know americans think its edgy to make penis and sex jokes, but I can't imagine anyone outside the US really likes this 12 year old boys show
> implying marvel capeshit isn't even more immature
at least the villains or "good guys" of the boys aren't fully one-dimensional
capeshit is for kids and adults with <65 iq
Maeve and homelander carry the show all by themselves.
there is no other motivation to see the series at this point.
I stopped watching after 3 episodes. It made me feel really old as a 21 year old.
>I stopped watching after 3 episodes.
the first season is good, you should finish it.
the rest its very redundant and random as frick
The quality of The Boys is good throughout all up to current episodes with very minor reductions in some of them.
I'm not saying it's a masterpiece but it's a solid 7, and maybe an 8 if you're into the genre.
nah, half of the season 2 is pure shit, and it is clear that the writers dont know what to do with the series anymore.
its just anthony starr doing group therapy in front of the screen now.
I didn't like s2 too much either, but at least s3 seems better to me. It's not like their recipe has changed since s1.
if you see my posts I dont say season 3 is bad neither.
its just pointless
Its just not for me. Wanted to stop after the first episode like I do with all series that I don't like, but gave 2 and 3 a shot to come to the conclusion its not for me.
You read Fire Punch, you let it sit for 6 months, then you ACTUALLY read Fire Punch and get it
The Sois
War movies then westerns.
when does the new episode come out
Mission impossible movies
>grown-up tier capeshit?
you transcend the need for capeshit altogether and develop a love of nuanced stories of real heroes
