When they did challenges, I hoped James would win.
When they did public transport races, in the beginning I didn't care, but after a while I started hoping Jeremy would lose because he kept winning every time.
Likewise when they raced runners, climbers, skiers etc. with cars, I started hoping the car would win because whatever they raced would win 90% of the time.

Honestly it depended on the race, Hammond is easy to root against so I usually cheered for Jeremy or James in the cases where his offbeat choice trumped Clarksons play for laughs. But there have been times Ive rooted for all of them, probably the best TV hosting team ever and if I built a fallout shelter, Top Gear and Grand Tour would be in the collection DVD.

In actual fact may was the alpha, in the few behind the scenes shots when may gets angry hammond shuts up like a schoolboy, they never mess with may offscreen, like hes the only 'adult in charge' of the three
Depended on the race. In the Africa special I really wanted Hammond and Oliver to lose and finish in the Beetle. Also May’s Mercedes in that deserved to win, mechanically it did not miss a beat.
