Rick and Morty did the whole "Bait and Switch" episode better, still a shitshow, but it did that right.
This show has become a shitty mix of Family Guy and Rick And Morty.
It's only like Rick & Morty in the way that there's a lot of violence and le dark twists but it's 100% like Family Guy in the humor department.
Tell me that these wouldn't be interactions Brian and Stewie would have:
When does it get funny
Does the humor come from the fact that they talk with stuttering and interruptions?

Not really since Zach likes Family Guy as much as a normal man should. Family Guy is mostly out of Seth's hands at this point and the writers prefer to just do gore and shitty drama because the people will keep watching no matter what. Zach's criticism of the show is the same thing everyone else criticizes it for, and it's fair to say that Smiling Friends is tamer and the characters are far more likable compared to modern Family Guy. It helps too how they made a season with the same budget as a single FG episode, making the profits more impressive.
That's the point, you tard. It's the four main characters trying to get away from their own show and their wacky daily lives, but they frick up their own vacation and have to immediately go back. The episode promises a vacation story and Mardi Gras shenanigans, but they just end up going back since they don't have any money and Pim fricked up.
It depends on your expectations, and tbf it's just season 1, which means that they can refine the product better for season 2. The whole hype is that a popular YT animators were able to get their foot in the door and get an Adult Swim show, and were clever enough to cut the cost and make the company a shitton of money.
I applaud their budget, that’s something worth praise, but as a show, it’s kinda lame and I can’t see the characters becoming more likable or the writing getting better. Who knows though.
Yeah, I can understand that criticism since the episodes kinda vary. I liked it fine because I didn't have huge expectations, but hopefully they'll up their game.
What's the first adult cartoon to do the whole realistic, unscripted-like dialog where the voice actors stumble over their words and use natural tones. Space ghost? It seems all AS shows do this and it's getting kinda tiring.
>Dude, cartoon characters having an awkward, realistic conversation for 11 minutes, how funny and revolutionary!!! >Check it out, it's my favorite scene from "Smiling Friends Go To Brazil"
Hahahaha get it? because awkward situation
hahahahahaha

There was also one in Solar Opposites.
I already said R&M did it good.
Tales from the Citadel is hard to beat, because you actually see stuff happen
I wanted to see mermaid pusy
IM MR FROG
I TURNED MYSELF INTO A FROG, PIM! IM PICKLE ZACH
I-LOVE-YOU

Filtered.

This. Zach criticized Family Guy so much but isn’t this totally on brand for a Seth MacFarlane show minus the reference humor?

it's a show for trannies. they don't need jokes, all they need is epic internet meme references.
Name a single "internet meme reference" in this episode.
this episode was so low effort that it didn't even have those. stop worshipping ecelebs and grow up.

>it's bad because it has references
>it doesn't? a-actually it's bad because it doesn't
pathetic
It's definitely the opposite of a show for trannies
NO WITTY QUIPS!? WHERE'S THE HECKIN' REVERB FART SOUND EFFECTS AND CIRCUS MUSIC!?
Cinemaphile loved this show, then it became popular, and now you hate it.
if you hated this episode then you clearly have never been on a friend vacation lmao frickin losers
shit = canned
I don’t get the hype with this show. It was funny a few times but it’s really uninteresting and not goofy or well written enough to compensate for it

The characters are very likable? I say this as someone who disliked the animation but was won over by writing

Space Ghost was probably the first example but Home Movies was a big one for that style of humor
uh dont you get it? its intelligent, off the wall, unscripted comedy brah. Frick Riggamordie doh
They went to the left and then up your bumhole
The joke is that, in Brazil, they celebrate Carnival not Mardi Gras.

It's not really revolutionary, it's like the Chinese restaurant episode in Seinfeld.
It's just their Terrence & Phillip episode you dumb fricking zoomers.
