Berserk
fippy bippy
The berserk are mediocre as frick though
Gits is still 10/10 scifi anime
Gits is pure kino
?si=55yOJdZoBb9kilKt
KONO IKE NI
The stand alone complex series is pretty great as well
?si=fFfrEnYR_gzP4ZjW
>Haaaaaasche ta mascht centi de
would be better if it had male protagonist,
The main character's sex really doesn’t matter since one of the theme of the movie is about transcending the body. Plus, I prefer seeing breasts over staring at a penis.
Motoko is a perfect female protagonist because she's tall and muscular and has short hair and a deep commanding voice and is physically overpowering and is urgently driven to pursue sex with females, rarely showing any emotion beyond cold unyielding fury.
>and is urgently driven to pursue sex with females
And also little boys.
Ghost in the shell
Perfect Blue is the only one considered so good that even anime haters like it
Perfect Blue is a shitty Hitchwiener clone.
This can only be subjective, but Ghost and only for the atmosphere.
Redline is visually great, but nowhere near the rest of them.
Patlabor 2
While still great I unironically consider it the worst of all the Patlabor anime stuff. Minipato was going to take that spot but then the third episode was a masterpiece
GiTS, obviously.
Akira and Perfect Blue are also absolute master pieces.
Redline and vampire Hunter D are extreme cases of style over substance, but I love them.
Porco Rosso is just wholesome and beautiful, but a shit adaptation, with a story that goes absolutely nowhere, like most Ghibli films.
Haruhi the movie was shit and the whole thing should have ended with Se01. Doesn't even beling on the same list as the rest.
End of Evangelion is complete wank.
Samurai Champloo was meh.
that's ninja scroll not champloo, faker
Ah, then I'll retract my statement and commit sudoku
>End of Evangelion is complete wank.
Frick off, EOE is kino
Horrible normie opinion.
>End of Evangelion is complete wank
Thank you for telling me to disregard your entire post, now I don't have to waste time with any of your recs
Ninja Scroll, GITS is close.
Anime is FRICKING GAY.
End of Evangelion is peak kino. Top 10 movies ever made
for me its Mononoke
Good choice but out of all of the jiburi films I like whisper of the heart the best
>whisper of the heart
Second only to Porco Rosso for me. Most Ghibli movies are either straight boring or have unfulfilled feeling endings. Kiki and Arrietty might be the only other ones I truly liked but I haven't seen a few like Howl's and all the other ones after Spirited Away.
Decent choice. Amazing scenes, world-building and music.
Sadly, the actual story is kind of shit.
Pathetic.
Spirited Away for me. One of the few movies I consider an absolute 10/10.
Spirited away gays are tasteless in all things. That movie is a 7/10.
I truly don't believe you're fully human on the same level as me if you hold such an opinion
its a perfectly fine film but if you think that mononoke's story is garbage or that spirited away is a 10/10 then you have no taste and do not understand cinema
Mononoke doesn't even have a story. It's barely a setting. Same with Howl.
>mononoke doesnt even have a story
did we watch the same film?
do you even watch films?
I watch a lot of films. I love films
>mononoke
you get monke
Great film.
Everyone saying GitS but I never really liked the movies. SAC is kino was kino though and I'm glad I eventually gave it a try after not liking the movies.
Back to Cinemaphile, you soulless and autistic moeblob isekai shounentrash f/a/ggot.
I hate to break it to you but everything in the OP is an anime, GitS included.
No one claimed it wasn't.
Your tastes just indicate that you belong in the autist containment zone.
ayyyy the one going full REEEEE isn't the autist
Seriously though, just go have a look at Cinemaphile. You'll love it there.
Cream Lemon
Shoujo Ramune
Kodomo no Jikan
Listen to me girls I am your father
Akira is severely overrated
As a story, maybe, but as a visual piece if art no
You’re severely overrated
If that's The Disappearance instead of The Melancholy, then that one
KyoAni deserved to burn for that movie and endless 8.
filtered
all studio ghibli is for women and women-brained s0i males.
nausicaa
seeing this in the cinema was a religious experience
Re-releases don't hold a candle to the original screenings, EoE is one of those experiences that we "westerners" will never truly feel. There was never a chance, we were either too young or too far away.
>we "westerners"
> THE END OF EVANGELION
AMAZING
> EVANGELION 2.22 - YOU CAN NOT ADVANCE
STRONGLY GREAT
> GHOST IN THE SHELL
VERY GOOD TO GREAT
> EVANGELION 3.33 - YOU CAN NOT REDO
VERY GOOD
> EVANGELION 1.11 - YOU ARE NOT ALONE
GOOD
2.22 - YOU CAN NOT ADVANCE
>STRONGLY GREAT
The remakes were fricking trash that shit on the merits of the original and only exist as a cashcow for Anno to sell more toys.
Why don't you ask on the tranime board? you cringe brown troony homosexual
animation is cinema
Ninja Scroll unironically.
In terms of animation alone? Redline wins by miles. Storywise is very debatable, but Evangelion kind of sucks.
Essential tranime.jpg
Akira
list of names of each anime?
Perfect Blue, Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion
Ninja Scroll, Redline, Haruhi Suzumiya
Porco Rosso, Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Shell
>which one is the best
porco rosso just for the adriatic sea setting and the planes alone
for me, its welcome to the nhk
Evangelion and it's not even close.
We have done this thread a billion times already with the exact same anime in OP's pic. Are you people even human?
I thought Psycho Pass would be darker but it has a 'cool detective' vibe to it like GitS SAC
Only on episode 5 though
EoE is the best film the anime industry has produced.
based
i dont live on Cinemaphile
*EoE is the best film produced
Idk if best ever but truly a masterpiece, dude got something to say and prove after the absolute butchering of the final episodes of the show and the universal hate he got from it, the film is the result of fully activated turboautism.
Love Porco and I’m a nazi.
Love Porco and I'm not a nazi.
Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Melancholy are the best films in that picture.
Madoka Rebellion shits on all of them tbh
If we're rating the movie and not the franchise, haruhi movie. I watched it forever ago, and I remember feeling like I couldn't enjoy any other media because of how good it was. I don't know how well it holds up tbh, might give the series a rewatch
>Bloodlust is older than the first Vampire Hunter D was when Bloodlust came out
>still looks absolute kino
EOE, just for Asuka alon (my wife of 14 years).
Redline
Plotgays get the rope, go read a book
Evangelion >gits > akira> paprika > the rest in no particular order
Mushishi (not pictured of course).
Redline is absolute garbage and should not be on that list.
I never cared for Ghibli films
Outlaw Star
creampie aisha, this is my contribution to this thread
anime is garbage.
Also where's IRIA?
Legend of the Galactic Heroes, of course.
GITS might be the best film overall but I think Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust might be the most pleasing one to look at.
Your mom is quite pleasing to look at.
Why are you talking about my sister? Shut up.
Agreed.
EoE
GITS is very VERY overrated and I was honestly very disappointed when I watched it for the first time
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is great, especially when youve seen the original as well
EOE is a classic no doubt, very good ending and very visually appealing
Porco is very fun, id show that to my future kids no issue
the rest are whatever, haven't seen redline yet but want to
Redline, it's not even a question.
>no Angel's Egg
Out of these 9 it's EOE but I don't know why Porco would be your pick for Miyazaki when Valley of the Wind or Princess Mononoke would be more fitting in a collage of anime epics, and would be the best one on there
I'd guess it's limited to 1 per director and GITS is already on there, Angels Egg is better though. I see that movie getting mentioned a lot lately, is it going to breach mainstream and start being worshiped by zoomers like Lain?
>Out of these 9 it's EOE but I don't know why Porco would be your pick for Miyazaki when Valley of the Wind or Princess Mononoke would be more fitting in a collage of anime epics, and would be the best one on there
americans don't really know porco rosso
and this is Cinemaphile a significant portion of posters come here to fee Le special and Le unique
hence porco rosso instead of the better ghiblis
I’ve already posted in this thread, but my earnest choice for best ghibli film is whisper of the heart
Porco Rosso
in that image redline and porco rosso are my favourites
How has nobody mentioned Jin Roh yet?
Violet Evergarden
Shut the frick up moron.
KyoAni really did manage to find the perfect amount of digital polish with a silent voice then immediately went on to completely overdo it with Violent Evergarden which is fricking hideous MAPPA tier slop
gits and vampire hunter clear all that other gay shit
Evangelion. How is that even a question?
I'd agree it's the best but you haven't seen the others if you think it's not even up for debate
I have seen all the others. Only Perfect Blue and GitS come close but it's still not up for debate.
For me, its Ninja Scroll
Anybody seen Blue Gender?
-End of Evangelion
-Perfect Blue
-Ghost in the Shell
These are definitely the best anime films. Vampire Hunter is overrated because of its artwork. Porco Rosso isn't even the best Ghibli movie, so it's not in contention. Angel's Egg is pretty good too.
>that one samegay spamming EoE for hours all alone
Just stop, you inbred homosexual
>uhhh no way multiple people like a movie it has to be one guy
bump for discussion love u guys
homo
DYRL mogs all these chumps
Patlabor 2
No cyber city oedo 808???
heard that got a genuine blu-ray recently
anything but evangelion, guys a hack
Akira.
GITS is almost as good as Pop Team Epic. Almost.
redline mogs but the real winner is
Mind Game (2004)
Definitely EoE.
This is quite literally the most underrated kino in the history of cinema
Everything that Takahata worked on was God-tier, and it almost vaguely upsets me that his stuff has to be uttered in the same breathe as most of what else is being posted here.
I finished watching evangelion over a month ago and I still haven't fully recovered. I don't even want to watch anything else right now. I need time to reset. Might watch the rebuild films.
>he got emotionally destroyed by a monster v giant robot children's show
This is unironically a child's takeaway
>it's awesome shinji is the only one who can pilot the eva and he fights monsters and saves the world
I'm paraphrasing a child I overheard once IRL
Let it sink in and feel ashamed
>kid understood it on the correct level while you're complimenting yourself for being fruity and emotional
I don't know what kind of kick you get from pretending to have an iq of 90
>he got emotionally destroyed by a monster v giant robot children's show
same
> Might watch the rebuild films
Dont do it anon, youll regret it.
Ignore the Black folk who don't get it, I feel ya anon. I saw EoE over 4 years ago for the first time and I still find myself wondering about it here and there. It's truly a special piece of art.
Although, I wouldn't really recommend the Rebuilds, they are quite a far cry from the originals, but you do you.
Evangelion is childish.
It’s really not
It is. It's made by someone with a mind of a teenager.
This is true and why I think NGE is one of the only truly honest and resonant works for neurotic teenagers, Anno had all the angst and self hate of one during production and a made a true epic about the psyche of a fricked up 14 year old no one can get through to even when the worlds at stake
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.
GitS has the best soundtrack and visuals, but the story is bland.
None, they're all redditcore trash.
Vampire Hunter D is kino.
ping pong
Vampire Hunter
The tank fight is this same fight in reverse.
>Opponent is hugely overpowering but also passive
>Invisibility
>Water
FLCL isn't up there, so null set
Jin Roh
>not rotoscoped
everyone on that team was top of their game
kino
Ein a cute.
Planetes.
Based
>Just a poor humble bounty hunter, ma'am
Dun du duu
Du dudu duuu
Vampire hunter d was definitely best for atmosphere and immersion. It feels so dam lived in and real like the world actually exists. I don't think they ever use exposition either which is INCREDIBLY RARE for a Japanese they need fricking everything spelled out for them.
Vampire hunter D or Yellow Line
Out of those? Ninja scroll
Of all time? Hellsing 2001
Seras a cute.
Hellsing is slop of the highest caliber
And I love it
2001 is not slop at all. It's full of SOVL arguably more than the manga itself
Ultimate is slop with its CGI and worse music, arguably worse everything
Soulslop
I enjoy it a lot, Anon, but you literally can't argue against Hellsing being slop. It's just all edge and angst and gratuitous violence.
>It's just all edge and angst and gratuitous violence.
That's anime at its peak.
I like how End Of Evangelion was just a long-winded and elaborate insult of everyone who liked the series, and that the fans were so autistic they didn't even notice.
Anno literally just walks up on stage and screams that you are degenerate morons, then shows you a picture if yourself sitting in the cinema watching his slop and shouts "This is you! Look at yourselves, you fricking shitstains on the human race".
And then all the autists stood up and clapped, thinking it some clever and deep art or philosophy.
You misunderstood the film
Space Dandy
akira was shit fricking movie
vampire hunter d was goat
Anything by Kon
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust has the best animation.
Best world building is Evangelion.
Best concept Memories.
I'm surprised everyone loves EoE so much. It was a 7/10 for me
I felt better about it on the rewatch. Art/direction/performances are all superb
Yes that was all great but I don't get everyone having existential crises from it or finding it "deep"
It’s not a movie that you should have an existential crisis from. For me it’s a heavy film that understands despair and still encourages me to press on.
Why does everybody online say it though
Because everybody online is either A. moronic or B. Sees the heaviness but not the hope.
Kino
For me it is Dominion Tank Police
We posting AMVs now?
That's a good one.
I honestly prefer the AMV to the actual anime. Mostly the main character of the anime is such an annoying crybaby and the story itself is such a lame melodrama. Style and animation wise the anime is top tier but it's characters and plot are shite.
Do people still like Cowboy Bebop?
I don't watch anime.
Made in Abyss is a 10/10 animu.
