If you've read the plot leaks, House of the dragon will be a bigger disaster. There are like 5 time jumps in the first season, spanning like 20 years in total. It will be a complete narrative disaster along with blackwashed Valaryons. At least rings of power's diversity has some in universe explanation to it.

Which times jumps are you talking about? The show starts with Aemma Arryn death and Rhaenyra appointed as heir at 15 years old and then by episode 6 they will jump 15 years and the two queens will be in their 30s.
Both casts are wrong, but got is a huge whiff.

Admittedly HOTD getting blacked isn't a good sign though. Especially since the director said he only did it because he didn't want to see a bunch of white people. Not sure why they didn't just make a black character, there are blacks in the world. But Valyrians arent one of them

Even though HBO sucks now, they at least have a better track record when it comes to ambitious high production value TV series, and it's good that Dumb & Dumber have zero involvement with HotD.
Amazon completely botched Wheel of Time, so I don't understand why people are giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Remember the atrocity known as The Wheel of Travesty... Time? Yeah, that also had a finished storyline. It even had the successor-author available for help and Amazon/studio fricked it up so bad, none of us wants a season 2.

It has like 14 books. There is no way you can maintain a television series that long enough to adapt that much material.

Rings of Power, for sure. Christopher Tolkein let Amazon produce the show out of spite for Peter Jackson. I’m still cautious about House of the Dragon but Toussaint (Corlys) has said he doesn’t give a shit about the idpol aspect of his casting and just wants to put in a good performance. Surely can’t get worse than the last few seasons of GoT, but we’ll see.

If his problem with the Jackson movies is that they're not 100% accurate to the books and took some creative liberties, then he should be a million times more incensed at Amazon's upcoming travesty.

From what I've seen and read of HOTD, it looks like a boring soap opera with a few CGI dragons thrown in. Rings of power, say what you will, actually looks like a fantasy show.
I will NOT be silent. Amazon's new series represents nothing short of indigenous erasure. It's all well and good to make a series that reflects the "modern world" but we shouldn't forget how that world came to be in the first place. White colonizers conquered indigenous people and now Amazon is highlighting them by erasing Celeborn in favor of Galadriel. Honestly it makes me sick.
